    Cool you got that fragrance. I have Reflection 45 and that took about a month after I sprayed it to become a 9-10 hour beast mode fragrance. Now about a year later it’s basically until you take a shower beast mode. It be great to hear if the performance increases after some time, most fragrances improve over time, some more than others.

    I’ve tried out a couple of middle eastern perfumes… it smells great in the Middle East when when an Arab wears it, but I don’t really like it on myself… again, that’s not to say I can’t admire it, but on other people. If it smells too middle eastern, I don’t really like that type of perfumery, I would always recommend you smell something like this before buying, it can be really different to western perfumery and definitely not for everyone.

    Scotch broom (Cytisus scoparius) is a deciduous shrub native to Europe. It's known for its yellow, pea-like flowers and angular stems. Scotch broom has small, simple leaves and dark brown to black, hairy, flattened pods that burst and scatter seeds when ripe. It grows in open meadows and along roadsides.

    Interesting break down of concentrations. I have some edt's that project and last longer than parfums. Do ingredients play a role?

    • @SkullTraill
      @SkullTraill 10 месяцев назад

      Well, typically EDTs project more because there is more alcohol which is more volatile (evaporates and diffuses into the air faster). This also means EDTs typically don’t last as long. However as you noticed, it’s not just the main alcohol concentration that matters but also the volatility of the individual compounds. Some notes are captured in oils which are less volatile and therefore last longer and project less. But some notes are captured in alcohol solutions which are more volatile so last shorter but project more. Then it also depends on the actual active molecule in the particular note. If it’s a bigger molecule it will be less volatile, a smaller molecule will be more volatile. Etc etc. and that’s just the volatility aspect of the equation. There’s even more things that matter such as the solvency, and olfactory sensitivity. All of these vary wildly depending on the base solvent, natural vs synthetic, quality etc. there’s a lot of variation so all we have is general guidelines. Hope that helps.
