I absolutely love Jubilation XXV , but I can’t justify spending the kind of money they’re asking for the Extrait version. Believe it or not, i did say to my wife about six months ago that Amouage should do an extrait of Jubilation to celebrate their 40th anniversary. I’ll try a sample. I love the House of Amouage. It’s not for everyone. Justin, it’s always nice to get Grace’s perspective.

I tested both, and I found Jubilation 40 more "rounded" and elevated. From the 40th anniversary edition, Dia 40 is my favorite

Id never really dove into Amouage, but ive just gotten in a few samples, Enclave, Jubilation XXV, Imitation man and Royal tobacco, im utterly blown away by this perfumery, Enclave is so beautiful, Jubilation blew me away as well, Imitation man smells oddly feminine to me and Royal tobacco is just unapolagetic. Big Amouage fan now🤓😁
You should have Grace on the channel more often when giving reviews. She adds a touch of Jubilation to the videos 😄😄

Okay, I am an unabashed Amouage fanboy and Jubilation XXV might just be the absolute favorite fragrance in my collection. So much so that I hardly wear it because I used to always wait for the perfect moment/occasion (Don't worry Equality Fragrance disabused me of that stupidity). While I am not a huge fan of flankers (I do enjoy Fahrenheit Le Parfum), I find that my favorite House does flankers perfectly: e.g., Interlude!!!! Therefore I did not hesitate to pull the trigger on Jubilation 40 immediately...despite that price tag! My bottle arrived today and my ScentXplore Box included a sample, which I tried yesterday. Absolutely delectable. I get the connection to the original -which makes me very happy - and something else. I'll have to wear/explore this gem tomorrow with a full wearing to better understand the differences. Based upon yesterday's sample and today's spritz from the new bottle , this is an absolute LOVE at first sniff for me! Thanks for sharing your first impressions.

I tested the original, and loved it! I waited for Jubi40 to come out and bought that instead of the original. Definitely made the right choice! It’s a darker heavier version of the original to my nose. Feels more mature

Good to see you a little more critical and not gushing like some I've seen (and I say this as a fan of the house). I do love J40, to me this is indeed a different beast, much sweeter and a projection beast. Like King Blue, this is one you don't want to go get a huge whiff. Let it come to you, let it envelop you in its mystical (mystikal? see what I did there? 😏) aura. I will however say if you own XXV, unless you're an absolute fan of it and you have the clams, it's not really worth it at this high a premium. If you don't own XXV however, I would say invest a bit more and get the extrait, it's magical.
The original one i luckily got 3hours with light projection
@@polofunk Wow, your skin destroys it somehow. You could try J40 but honestly it might not be worth it for you unless it dramatically improves your longevity. I have that with PdM's Haltane, it lasts all of 3-4 hours on me... yet Oud for Greatness lasts for 7+. Go figure!
Its a pale shadow of the original. Unless my sample is off from Scents Event. Its a bland powdery, painfully thin distant cousin of the original. If you told me this was an eau de cologne of the reformulation which they are calling a parfum, although it has cologne performance, I'd believe you. So tragic what they did to this epic, legend. At least the library collection is still intact.
To be honest, I’ve heard many negative things about Scents Event’s samples. I would try another source before you make your final decision.

@@stayfreshproductions Scents Event refunded that part of my order. $12.99 for a 1 ml sample of reformulated Jubilation XXV that was being sold as 40. I mentioned our conversation. Perhaps that helped them do the right thing. Thanks for the help.
They did the right thing and refunded that part of the order.
I have the xxv and is one of my favorites in my collection. I have the magnetic cap with the new formulation and if I apply more than fifteen sprays after a shower and applying some body lotion it lasts me 12+ hours and stays forever in my clothes. I also love interlude and epic man, epic man doesnt last as much as xxv and interlude. To me only 3 to 4 hours and then I can barely smell it.

I adore Jubilation XXV and i am looking to sample Jubilation 40. Unofortunately after Chong's Era , nothing mindblowing is released. The new managers not only go round the old chong's ideas but they release far inferior versions (such as Interlude black iris chopped off oregano from the OG )

you dont have to buy that kind of scent every week, maybe once evey other month
I have tested Jubilation 25 and Triumph of Bacchus, and I can have either for $150. If you had to choose one, which would you pick?

I believe Jubilation 40 is the superior of the 2, but with that said, I was never the biggest fan of the og. For me, I can't see getting Jubi 40 unless it's from a discounter.
If you have yet to smell the original, despite the praise I would not say it’s blind buy safe. I, just like Justin, hated (and still do) Jubilation XXV. To me it’s not appealing at all and just smells really weird. I love Amouage as a brand but I would not want to smell like this.
When a fragrance is great, why in the world would the house change anything if not for the better? To me, if not for the better, then will result in a loss of customers. It really is absolutely disappointing to me when a fragrance that I really like is changed or discontinued. It seems this happens often.
There are international regulations that change constantly, and cause many brands to have to alter their products in order to keep them on the market. I can’t confirm if that is the case here, but it’s usually the most likely possibility in this industry.
What do you mean when you describe something as “aromatic”, e.g. when you said “aromatic spices”?
I’m referring to the feeling you get from the scent of herbs like basil and spices like cardamom. There is a fresh, crispness to them but they don’t smell “clean” like soap or aquatics.

With the original jubilation if i got 3hours i was lucky, plus the projection was really light, so if it's lighter than that I'll pass.
Amouage is very challenging

I got this and it has been a blind buy disaster😪 Doesn't even last 45 mins on my skin and I've never had skin performance issues before with any Amouage frag (I own about 10). Even the watered down version of Jub XXV performs way better on my skin than this. No exaggeration but this is the worst performing fragrance I own. Everyone please test this before buying a full bottle as I've wasted $500!🤯 Really hope all of you out there don't have this issue.

Scott, either you’ve got EXTREMELY dry skin, or you’re overloading your nose.
The latter is most likely true because this fragrance is 40% concentrated. That is VERY high. Not only does this mean it should stick around for hours, but it also means it can easily fatigue your olfactory if you’re sniffing it up close frequently or you sprayed close to your face.
Just because you can’t smell it doesn’t mean it isn’t there! Try to avoid spraying the front of your neck and your chest if you’re doing that.
Wait for it! I had a similar experience with my Prada L'Homme Intense, which I loved so much and most people rave about. Initially last just about an hour or so on me, but after it sat down for a few months, there was a significant improvement. So don't be mad Bro, allow it to MACERATE for a few months. Trust Amouage. I believe it will definitely get better. Cheers!

I was going to take a few days off from wearing fragrance to see if that helped.
After 45 mins it is completely gone, not even down to a skin scent. Real shame as Jubilation was one of the first niche fragrances I ever bought and have always loved it.

Leave it for a few months anf try again. You will experience it differently. I didnt get much performance from my bottle I bought from Neiman Marcus.

Unfortunately performance cannot be evaluated like that. But I would get a sample of it if you’re interested in trying it
