As someone from Oman, I would like to say that It’s really nice to see you wearing the traditional Arabic thobe-it suits you well! I appreciate the gesture, and it’s wonderful to see how important is acknowledging and appreciating the difference in cultures around the world.
This is true for Amouage and a few other fragrance houses that use high-quality ingredients. However, most designer and even some niche houses use "cheap" ingredients and still markup the price.
waited weeks for this video and it didnt disappoint. 1h just flew by cause the whole video was so calming and visually pleasing. amouage is such a great classy brand with a fantastic history
But they do, every expense, every step in the production process is calculated into the price. And aging time depends on the ingredients used and the final scent profile you want to achieve. Aging goes on even after you buy the product and the scent will also change with it. So Aventus might be good enough to sell after 2 months of aging, but if you prefer a deeper, less fresh/fruity/bright scent and you don't want to wait until it reaches that point 6 months after you buy it you can buy the triple aged version. Which means extra storage and logistics cost resulting in a higher price. At least, that's how I think it goes. At the end of the day nothing is free.
One of the my favourite things about the fragrance hobby is the history of the houses. This was very educational and interesting. Super cool that they still have the first tree they planted there. Thank you for filming this. Gonna be on the lookout for Gold man so I can smell their first fragrance too 👍

Da glimmt wieder ein bisschen Hoffnung auf, dass vielleicht doch eines Tages mal wieder ein batch von Myths Man, Beloved, Sunshine etc. produziert wird. (Tank Szene: 40:00 onwards, Discontinuing thema ca. 50:00)
Ich warte schon so lange darauf, dass Amouage die Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, die sie verdienen. Xerjoff, PDM, MFK, BDK und alle anderen aktuell laufenden brands, sind noch so weit von Amouage entfernt, was Dimensionalität und Qualität angeht. Das ist natürlich Geschmacksssache, aber selbst die Düfte die mich nicht catchen, riechen so dermaßen "mehrschichtig" und hochwertig, dass ich mich freue, dass du nun von Amouage sprichst. Der mit Abstand beste Duft (Sunshine Man von Pierre Negrin) ist leider aus dem Sortiment genommen worden.

I like every fragrance I’ve tried from Amouage. Out of the 15 or 16 fragrances from them I’ve sampled at least 12 of those I would buy. I have more than a few 100mls 😅
The guy responsible for dumbing down the scents to make them more mainstream. And it will only get worse if L'Oréal get their paws on it as they are looking to.

He's the reason why they have doubled profits and become a better known brand. Amouage can not just be known by perfume enthusiasts. Like him or not - he is killing it commericially.

46:38 6 months for aging. So while CREED charges you for "tripled aged" aventus batches Amouge is not. No marketing gimick 👍🙏
