I had the same problem with my 424 and managed to fix it by loosening the screw on the rear that secured the chamber and moving the assembly downwards then retightened the screw .

There is a leak in the thread seal. Remove nozzle & either add yellow thread tape or fingernail polish to the thread & refit nozzle firmly to seal.

Do you have the fuel tank correctly positioned against the front of the stove? Sometimes the handle or latch can hold the fuel tank away from the front of the stove and the nozzle doesn’t go fully into the Venturi.

That happened to me one time. I solved the problem by raising the carrying handle to the up position before mounting the fuel tank. Problem solved.

Sometimes this is caused by a buck nest or a spider web in the manifold that is redirecting some of the gas back towards the generator.

This is caused by a leaking nozzle thread, try tightening nozzle down some more, or remove nozzle & add a drop of fingernail polish to the thread & then refit nozzle firmly & let sit to dry properly before use.

So the gas Teflon fixes this problem on the jet?
      I have a 425e I just picked up that's doing the same
My first thought was I might have picked up some trash out of the tank obstructing the needle but after cleaning everything up I still get this flame
