  • Its finally arrived my new Ninja SPEEDI-I paid for this with my own money so I will be giving an honest review and demo. well not really a review on the Ninja SPEEDI but a quick unboxing and demo.
    In a future video I will be doing a review on the Ninja SPEEDI but for right know I want to use it a bit and some of the functions then give my thoughts on the new appliance from Ninja Kitchen.

    One reason I love your vids is because it’s real life, not perfectly plated food! You drop stuff on the floor, make a mess...me, too! You chunk up the chicken rather than making it sliced and gorgeous…me, too! I have a friend who is scared to ever use a pressure cooker, so this would be something for her. Thanks for the video Lisa.

    I'm glad to see you using the Speedi, Lisa! I really do like mine. I found that if it does get a little dirty, all you have to do is put It on steam and it comes right off. I also like that I can make just the right amount when it's only about 2 or 3 people. I'll be watching you to see what you do with it.

      Thanks Stephanie-only used it a few times -so far so good. thanks for the suggestions on cleaning it. its dirty already-lol. So true-very nice to only cook for a few -less waste if I can't find someone to give it to. Hope to use it today but I'm on call-don't want to be in the middle of something and then the phone rings-lol. and I have bananas for a banana bread-maybe I will wait until tomorrow night. are you having a live tonight?

    Hey Lisa! Another great video. I’ve had my Speedi for awhile and I LOVE it. I’ve cooked a couple of Speedi meals with chicken and one with Polska kielbasa. I use the Knorr pasta packets (pasta and seasoning all included in the packet), and follow the liquid content instructions of the pasta packet. It has always turned out perfectly! Looking forward to your future videos in this appliance!

    Good video and channel!
    I am a home chef. Two things my sweetheart got me were an instant pot and a air fryer. My initial sarcastic reaction to both was "what am I going to do with this?". I live in a hot environment both these small appliances do the job of my stove without heating my kitchen and causing the AC to turn on more.

    man Lisa that looks really delicious I've been thinking about getting a speedi for my youngest daughter she doesn't like to pressure cook anything 😂 so when she gets her own place so she'll probably end up getting one
    I got my eldest daughter a smart lid last year for Xmas
    so I guess we're going to be a ninja family before to long 🙂 thx for the demonstration

    Well there's one good improvement, it's internal cooking area and square rack. Better for those who don't like the idea of pressure cooking and don't want to spend the extra money on components they won't use. It's more specific functions and purpose makes it more user friendly too.
    I'll be looking forward to the day you do a mixed grill (errr broil) using the rack and something delicious in the lower bowl.
    Good first demonstration of the speedi.
    Cheers Lisa.

      Very true! I picked up a little beef tri tip but waiting to come up with a recipe using broil. the steam crisp beef is ok but nothing beats it grilled(broiled) or air crisped and then to have something in the bottom-veg would work but not sure a rice or pasta would would out. at the same time. May have o do them separately which is a bummer but I think the beef tastes better it would be the same with lamb. I am craving some lamb-lol. but this coming weekend is the fair so looking forward to mutton.
      I'll have to play around with it
      Thanks John!

    I’m hoping to get this in the UK, it’s the sort of food we eat, was going to get the Ninja grill airfryer, but all people seemed to cook was food out of the freezer like beef burgers and chicken nuggets and chips, we might eat chips once a week but not always, and we don’t eat out of the freezer, I realised an airfryer was not what I needed. In the UK the price on special is £229.00 that’s reduced from £269.00 so it’s cheaper in the USA.😂

    • @Blueystar861
      @Blueystar861 Год назад +1

      Hello, I have the af300uk and from the UK.
      Yes I agree that some people seem to use it mainly for frozen food, I use frozen food but it depends what it is.
      I cook aswell so it's great to use the air fryer when I do salmon or sea bass it comes out lovely. Asparagus, carrots and green beans are great in the machine aswell as white and sweet potatoes.
      I still have yet to do poultry and meats in it 😊.
      I have been thinking about the ninja speedi like that you can do more in it.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  Год назад +1

      agree with Germaine, I cook a lot of fish, shrimp, chicken and veggies-all are fresh-think people do the frozen stuff for views-especially in US. But I make burger and fries occasionally and change it up for bison burgers and lamb burgers. I guess I should do these as vids too. I'll take the lamb and season with oregano, salt and pepper, and add to pita and then add fresh veg, feta cheese and taziki-super good. can do the same with chicken. I chop lettuce, tomato, cucumber for the veg. maybe I will do this for a vid this week.

      The color is like a blueish silver-would have preferred black. Not sure what they were doing but the packaging on the box was blue and yellow-so maybe trying to change I guess. bus classic black goes with everything.
      I miss my grill-I may have to get another one while on the road. Thanks Chris.

  • @averyvaliant
    @averyvaliant Год назад +1

    It's almost like a cross between the foodi all in one and the ninja grill.
    I like it, will be interesting to see how you get on with it.
    I still keep pondering buying the grill at some point, but then I think this device might be better, argh, still undecided! :P
    I agree about the button comment by the way, I don't like the touch panel
    I have the older ninja foodi max which has the knob you can turn, which I like
    Added: I notice the tomatoes burned when following the quick cook guide, I see that a lot in the other videos, despite going by the guide, it always burns items on the top and undercooks on the bottom.
    Just one of those things I think, unless you have the exact ingredients that they used to create the recipe, you just have to experiment.
    I wouldn't be surprised if the frozen chicken was partly responsible for the soupy pasta sauce, it probably defrosted and drained into the sauce.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  Год назад

      I do miss my Grill-wish I had brought it with me. Yeah I don't like the touch-I like buttons-lol.
      Even with the smart lid the top tier would be overdone or burned tomatoes-I just use the second tier for the protein and veg. And I think I finally figured out how make sure the rice on the bottom stays moist and is not "crunchy". well some of the top of the rice.
