In this video John makes hookbait paste with a 1 egg mix using Supermilk base mix with Caramel Banana and Plum flavours + Spectrum Milk & Cream
Hi John. For years on Padworth I never completely covered my boilie in a wrap like you do, but topped it with a Cone shaped piece of paste, found it less fiddly and achieved the same effect of leakage. Always enjoy your video's.

Hi John great video…in fact a great series !. I’m making some pellet paste for my syndicate to get round a few silly rules (boillie and pellet only). l’m going to make little sausages of stiff paste out of the pellet (as nobody use’s the pellets for hook baits) in arma mesh and if that doesn’t work l will make boillies out of it, purely for hook baits. Do you have any tips that might help me please.
Everyone apart form me is using the fisheries boillie and pellet and I can’t compete so I will be using it next year but I’m lookin for an edge. Thanks in advance Steve.

Great video John thanks. I fish a lot of matches through the summer months and have had pretty good success using groundbait based paste mixes. Could you recommend any flavours or additives to further enhance these match style paste mixes please?
Yes, I've had a few questions similar to this, there are two which are becoming more popular with the match guys. Bio shelfish liquid on the fishy savoury side and the wonderful creamy mapley amino sweet particle punch - which is very versatile and can even go on maggots.

yes, try milk and honey base mix or supermilk with Milky1 or frost and flood flavour, use paste wraps. The problem is the Loddon and St Pats has been completely swamped and by the indiscriminate use of halibut pellets. This fills the fish up and actually makes them feel ill. They cant digest the 45% oil content of a halibut pellet but they also cant resist eating it, this is the problem on many of these smaller rivers. Good luck! John

Hi John I don't buy carp fishing books. But I would buy a book written by you on the subject of bait making. It's such a hard thing to get right if you don't know much about it. I try to make my own base mixes but get it wrong more than I get it right. If a proper technical book was written I'm sure it would make more anglers roll there own baits if they could obtain the knowledge .
Someone needs to do it or all that knowledge will be lost once the people with it pass away.
