I felt the exact same way about Funny You Should Ask! I think it really fell flat for me because I was like there's no way these people would still have feelings for each other after all that time... I'm in the same boat where I want to enjoy romance but I still haven't found anything that really does it for me. Neil Gaiman is great! I've only read Coraline and Good Omens so far but The Graveyard Book and Neverwhere have been on my tbr for ages

I feel the same way about caraval! I really liked caraval and the rest of the series, but I know I would’ve absolutely loved it when I was a teenager.
