Cracking video mate. First ever home brewed cider coming up this year having moved to an old place with apple trees - lots to learn. Off to look at your website..........

Orchard fresh apples creating your own cider or apple wine is very rewarding

Hello, my question is about the 2kg CO2 gas cylinder. With ‘casual’ home brewing use, what could be the approximate ‘life-cycle’ of 2kg's of CO2? I.e. how many kegs can be dispensed before the gas cylinder is empty? Also, can the cylinders be refilled with gas? If not, then purchasing these on a repetitive basis could be costly. Thanks for uploading the videos. They’re very clear, concise and very helpful.

The 2kg kegs will dispense approx 400 litres of beer, we would encourage the tanks to be refilled and would suggest that a local co2 supplier will refill at a reasonable cost, the main expense is in buying the first tank, hope that helps

@@Geterbrewed Yes, that’s helpful and good to know. A starter kit and additional keg will be on my next order. Thanks.

Thanks so much Aidan! Once you move to kegging you'll struggle with a bottling day after it lol

    Great Video.
Any sign of getting the Kegland 30 regulators in? They always seem to be out of stock.
Can starsan be used for cleaning instead of pbw or do they perform different functions?
Will liquid not absorb the CO2 if at room temp on a force carbonation?
    Thanks

Thanks for your comment. We have ordered the type 30 regulators a few times and they haven;'t been available . Starsan is a great all round no rinse sanitiser where as PBW would be recommended for a deep clean so to speak. To obsorb co2 it needs to be below 4 degrees. Let me know if I can help further

    Good video.
HP on CO2 reg does not tell how much is left - only the gaseous head pressure of the cylinder. It will drop pressure reading once there is no remaining liquid CO2 and it is venting the last volume of CO2 gas
