    Crossfitter girl got only 2 points from crunches because she was the only one doing them in the right way...

    • @Anzius1
      @Anzius1 8 лет назад +141

      +Anzius1 And the push up. Like one of them didn't actually do even 1 push up. The weightlifter girl did pushups but with her triceps instead of chest and shoulder muscles.

      Agreed. The cut the work short and completely cheated the workout. Technique beats speed any day of the week. 🙄

      +Anzius1 lol your not supposed to come up all the way on sits ups your supposed to keep tension on the core and tricep pushup are harder than chest pushups so your argument is invalid

      +LONEstelth depends on rules of the pft. it's common that the rule is that your back must break the 90 degree plane. same with push ups.

      I think they meant women who are not professional athletes. With the exception of the Olympic weight lifter, they exercise a fairly normal amount for active women. Hell, two of them work at Buzzfeed, so they are fit, but normal. I know plenty of women who exercise this amount and could get these results. I think the point is to empower women, and to show that you can be active and successful, even if you don't expertise for a living.

    I’ve never left a RUclips comment before, but HAD to on this video.
    I am very familiar with this test and know many athletic and in shape individuals who have FAILED this test. I would argue that more than 2/3rds of people fail it. I thought that I would have zero problem with it, and now that I am training for it I think that i was very naive. For frame of reference, I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, run about 12 miles a week, take orange theory type classes and compete in adult basketball and field hockey leagues.
    These women did not do their research on this test. There are strict guidelines on form. Oftentimes, a person will do 20-30 push-ups but only 12 are counted towards their total! Same with sit ups. These events are also done back to back with only a short rest in between. Lastly, the sprint and mile and a half run are to be done on a regulation track and no headphones or other music is permitted.

The proper goverment regulation sit up is to raise your body to where your head passes the base of your spine while up, and your shoulder blades must touch the ground when going down. Also, your fingers must be interlocked behind your head. What you said may be good for just staying in shape, but when it comes to government fitness tests, that it not the proper way.

      Well many females work out because females are known to be more self conscience about their body type than men. It doesn't mean that men aren't self-conscience, by god they're self-conscience too but so far women are more sensitive to comments about our body, so it's not uncommon for a lot of women to work out a lot.

      I do exercise daily, mostly just cardio. Pushups are just something I've never been good at. Even though I wasn't before, now I would be afraid to do them now, cuz it forces the elbow to bend in a way that can irritate the nerves in my arm.
      So I don't know how many pushups I can currently do in one sitting, but what I described is just the way it was a few years ago.~
      I don't feel I have a lack of upper body strength though.

      Those sit-ups for the stronger and more willing to get more muscle in there abs. They’re harder to do since you don’t have any force to swing from your arms.

    • @Coolerdbz69
      @Coolerdbz69 6 лет назад +3

      Lol to get abs I can assure you situps and crunches are not the way to go. You if you insist on doing them, do them with weights for low reps because they are too god damn easy otherwise.

    • @PhrontDoor
      @PhrontDoor 6 лет назад +1

      Those are to FBI standards.. FBI pushups, for example, don't require chest touch the ground, only that the elbows be at the same level as shoulder and upper arm parallel to the ground.
