    I just got the PTM-11 (single version of this unit), and so far, I'm impressed! Hooked it up in a matter of minutes, started playing music from my interface, went through 3 rooms in my house and then upstairs. No breakup, as clear as if I were using wired earbuds into my phone! Very impressed!
    Love the channel, the Helix/Stomp tips and tricks, and your enthusiasm!

    I have been using the same system for about a year. I'm a mobile DJ and i use it to send signal to my powered speakers. It haven't had any problems or issues at all. I origionally had to make my own 3.5mm to xlr cables my self but now you can get HOSA brand. I have them rack mounted with the antenna extensions to the outside of my case so i can put them externally when playing.

    I'm returning my Phenyx Pro PTM10 which I bought partially because of this video. I perform on busy fairgrounds with lots of wireless devices used by entertainers, vendors, games and more. These Phenyx IEM's run in 902 to 928 mHz and which is a busy place with lots of interference. I got interference in my house, in one club and two fairgrounds. If I had kept it I would have gone bat crazy. Got a Shure PSM 300 and it's awesome.

      There is a 500MHz version as well, which I'm pretty interested in. Guess I like the PTM10 better than all of their other products just because of the stereo, which when using IEMs for live concerts makes a huge difference (even despite their dual 1u rack units like the PTM22 and 33).

      What would you say the differences are between the PTM 10 and the Shure PSM 300s

    • @seancca
      @seancca 2 года назад +1

      @@sundaystrummer the Shure is like true stereo so you can plug into either left or right and get a signal. I sometimes would forget that with the PTM. PTM body pack has a dedicated power button. Though the shure has a way to auto scan from the body pack to find clear channels. I do know the shure also has the ability to have two separate mono mixes from one transmitter. I have seen something mention that with the PTM but I am not sure how it does with given how the transmitter behaves. You also have the BNC connectors with the shure which means it is easy to find antenna cables and can be hooked up to the antenna combiner.

    1. add a third wireless pack

    These look interesting. I walked off with my wired IEMs still attached to my p16 mixer once, knocking it over, causing laughter in the room and immediately went to ebay and bought a used Sennheiser G2 IEM system. Never looked back. One of the best purchases I've made. (Oh yeah... Line6 G50 wireless for my guitar) I'm wireless!! And yes Stereo IEMS are sooooo much better. You can separate voice and instruments and it's easier to hear everything when it's not all straight up the middle.

    Good video. Just bought the PTM 22, having one issue. The bodypacks come each wanting to sync to separate sides. Which means you would need 2 separate monitor mixes. Our practice mixer only has 1 monitor mix so we were planning on having the bodypacks all synced to the same side. I can't see a way to do this though it seems like it would be a common need...both bodypacks should be able to sync to either side no?
