I agree with Pillzy, if you’re only a top 4 defenseman in the NHL when the other top 4 are injured, then you’re not a top 4 defenseman.
Todd would be good for this team. Though I would like to see Chris Kelly as one of the assistants
Boys the 1-3-1 ends up being more transition hockey, love it, they got the lads to pull it off.
Brannstrom needs to go. He may be 5'10" in tall boots and 185 lbs soaking wet, but he is SMALL. Ottawa has NO big defenceman and most teams who are good have several. He needs to go. He MAY succeed on San Jose or Chicago where he will get more opportunity, but we have other skilled defenceman in front of him. Even in previous years when he subbed in on PP when Chabot was out, he got no goals.
Team needs a shakeup. Brannstom and (probably) Chychrun need to go. We need a solid Top 4 like you described to play with Chabot and we need a veteran, big bottom pair defenceman.
TODDS an actually really good coach and wouldn't be mad at all!! But id love to have Berube or if possible, off the market but if available Rod or Coop. So technically todd is #4 on my list
Chabot had stretches of being either completely invisible or a liability. Hes not alone in that department, chyk was also a turnover machine. Chabots fine but i wouldnt lose any sleep if he was traded

You guys should go over to the Athletic and check out their NHL Playing Cards for Chabot and Branstrom. They list Brannstrom at a market value of $5 million and Chabby at $4.2 million. If this is at all true then we should let Chabot walk, sign Brannstrom to a cheap deal, use Chabot's money to get a really big nasty right D to pair with Brannstrom.

Staios takes too long to make decisions, which will hurt us on missing out of a lot of things. On the other hand he had no problem rushing the taresanko trade and was a huge mistake keeping half the salary. I believe he is arrogant and should have got a GM with experience. Seems like this ownership will be cheap like the last ownership.
I agree… nothing they have done has given me any hope for the future. Slow firing coach, slow firing GM, hired the GM we ALL knew he would name, did nothing at trade deadline, taking time to hire new coach (I think we ALL knew it will be exactly who we expect it to be … Gruden). They will hire a coach with no NHL experience or really not much of a reputation.
Love to say I’m optimistic for the future BUT… I’m not!!

@user-md3ij9oc9q Ottawa hasn't interviewed him and from all the rumors over the last week I don't have a sense he's HC. Imo it's gonna be one of Berube, McLellan, or Evason.
@@sens_outlook none of those (maybe Berube) are good options. McLellan hasn’t won in 15 yrs and Evanson has never won. We don’t need a coach that doesn’t know how to win when we have players that have never won. So dumb!!

Big no to Todd McLellan, has had opportunities to get it done and has not. If they can not get Berube let's see what happens in Pittsburgh, Mike Sullivan would be a good fit. After Bruins get eliminated take a hard look at Chris Kelly. Gruden is going to Toronto because Keefe will be out unless they make it to the finals.

Offensive phenom Erik Brannstrom career high 3 goals, 20 points meanwhile Sens' defensive defensemen Artem Zub put up 5 goals, 25 points and JBD 4 goals, 14 points. Funny how the 1 time Pillzy gets real about Branny is the 1 time he doesn't bring up the goddamn corsi. The little man should have been gone years ago.
