I'd be happy with Berube, okay with Evanson, but I'm still holding out hope that Tampa gets swept, Cooper is let go, and we hire him.
Get over it. Cooper is NOT getting fired. Evanson has never done anything good as a head coach at pro hockey… no thanks.
I’d take a Karl Taylor or Todd Nelson way before Evanson.
Like that we've narrowed down the specific need & the candidates that may fit the bill. We need to be proactive and responsible. Playoffs or bust is the next coach's mandate.

Berube is the one to go with. He has the Cup ring and can deliver on playoff series wins, not just getting to the playoffs (i.e., Evason).
I was hoping the Islanders (Roy) were going to upset the Canes…. Brindamour doesn’t have a contract for next year.
That would probably be optimal if brindamour would do that. Otherwise Berube would be ok I think, if he’s the guy they actually want though you’d think they’d have a deal done by now
@@carbb5760 I agree with you and @Rav99999 Brindamour would be my top candidate, but i doubt he's not back with the Canes next season so i am ok with either Berube or Evason. Who else is there? I don't think the Pens will get rid of Sullivan and he might not be a popular choice, but the man is a heck of coach, Joel Quenneville! Just as long as we don't hire McLellan who i think is super overrated.
Maybe he’s equally likely to leave if they win a cup. He might want to move on to new challenges. 🤞

Berube,Sutter or Maclellen.Accountability is right Pillsy,and a general manager that understands what kind of moves would bring the team out of the basement.I think your going to sacrifice one to 2 firsts.
Ottawa should look at bringing some of their good prospects up.Here is a second line Pinto,Ostapchuck and Girioux.Put one rookie on your 2nd and third lines.Give your prospects more icetime.Tyler Boucher,Jarventie,Halladay and Klevin on defence.
Other teams will have a rookie with a journeyman,28 to 30,and a vet 30 plus.Vancouver has players like JT Miller who can play wing or center,and is the right size
The ideal size for a winger is 6'0 to 6'3" and between 210 to 220 pounds,with about a 15 for speed a 16 for defensive,a 16 for puckhandling,and a 18 for aggression and hitting.Thats the kind of player you want.One good center that fills that criteria in all aspects.
Good luck in the off season.Take advantage of the Salt Lake City move and get Jusso Valimaki,Sean Durzi,Connor Ingram and Liam OBrien and a first not top ten protected for Chychrun,Norris on a LTIR,Hamonic,Lassi Thomson and Forsberg.
Some of their good prospects? They don’t have any!! Ottawa’s prospect pool is the worst in the NHL and we have not made the playoffs in almost a decade. So, what’s the solution, who do we hold accountable for that? No one. 🤦♂️ Fire the whole scouting staff and development staff, they’ve done a terrible job, the worst job in the NHL.
Ottawa can’t afford to give away top picks, we need to rebuild the cupboard. Although not sure what difference it will make by using the same people that didn’t know how to build the cupboard for the last 10 yrs? You talk about accountability? How do you instill accountability in your players if there is none on the organization?? #INSANITY
@user-md3ij9oc9q They do have some 3rd to 2nd line players that could work out.Halladay,Jarventie,Boucher,Ostapchuck,Sogaard,and Klevin are players that can come up this coming season.There is JBD if you want to increase value on a move.I would make a move for those 2 right shots even if it means moving JBD.
Ottawa has a better bunch of maturing players it's there first time in the playoffs in the AHL.Max Guenette is an up and coming right shot,Tyler Klevin is an up and coming talented left shot.

Obviously Grieg was top in rookie scoring for Sens. Next in pts by a rookie was 3 pts. No one is coming to help from Belleville. You’re delusional. None of them are close to NHL ready.

Pilsy is right. We need a coach who might be tough on the players like a Daryl Sutter.
Don't know why, since Treliving went to Toronto, I believe Sutter will be coaching the Leafs next season. Keefe signs with Penguins. I would be content with Sullivan. I'd prefer the Hunter bros are brought into the Sens fold
Berube would be my choice as well. Why wait till Toronto gets him?

Todd McLellan also has not done anything in 15 yrs. We have players that don’t know how to win, WTF would you bring in a coach that does not either?
