The internet being anonymous has exposed me to a lot of men who are only not predators because it is illegal. You’d be surprised to see how many men justify being with a minor or the only thing stopping them is the law. Thats for alot of things.

This sucks, the grandmother needs help with this kid. I can't believe she did this before and learned nothing from that experience. If she is alive, she needs counseling, structure, and a mentor to help her with her life.

So where was she ?
A security guard spotted an 11 year old child getting into a car with an older man. That led the police to the little girl and a man she met on Instagram. She was then safely returned to her grandmother, who explained this was the second time she ran off with someone from Instagram.

The grandmother’s original plea was so devastating that I felt compelled to see if there were any followups to this story, and luckily there were! The news had reported that the girl was found safe and had been returned home. What a relief!
Why can’t grown men stay away from little girls
I’m really hoping she is found safely. This is why you really need to teach your kids these guys that sweet talk you online are predators and just want to hurt you.

I saw from another news clip that she was found safe and that the man turned himself in, but I can't find any proof to back it up from a reliable source. I didn't see anything on Facebook.

What is a 6th grader doing with a grown man? The granddaughter left two weeks prior with a grown man and the grandmother didn't call the police and report it then? This woman left the door open for another man to do this again and now the child may never return and is probably being trafficked. I pray she returns home safely. 🙏 She should have taken all her electronic devices and made her delete all her social media accounts. Parents don't realize the dangers of social media but I didn't allow my son to have a cell phone until 9th grade so that we could communicate when necessary but he couldn't have any social media account until his senior year of high school, and I monitored like a hawk. Thankfully I was extremely active and involved in his life and he was a great child and still is to this day.
But some parents don't want to hear it and believe it's okay for children to be on social media, and it would be if it weren't for predators like the grown man who took this child.

@@sr2291 It may have but it was rare and difficult. Predators would only be able to contact victims via phone or in person. Parents could monitor phone calls coming into their homes because they would hear the phone ring and if someone saw a grown man talking to a child everyone would be watching and want to know what he said to her. But if you don't think children being on social media and having cell phones has contributed to and made it easier for predators to target, communicate, and get access to children then you are not well informed and haven't done any research.

An 11 year old is a 5th grader! She went missing after getting into a stranger's truck two Saturdays ago? Why are we just hearing about this now? There should be city-wide, state-wide flyers with her picture plastered everywhere and search efforts by the whole community and law enforcement! This woman is so broken with grief over her son's death and now this happens. She's so hurt she can barely stand, she needs help searching! If I lived in Missouri I'd help her look!
