Well, I agree that anyone with a penis shouldn't be incarcerated in a women's prison. That seems like common sense, and I guess that had to be demonstrated the hard way when someone decided to incarcerate someone who "identified" as a female. I also agree that for the same reason, it is common sense that people who "identify" as female should not be sharing public restrooms with people who were born female, especially since there's no way it can be verified whether someone has a penis or not. I don't know that much about gender reassignment surgery, but maybe if it's possible for the person to produce sperm, they shouldn't be incarcerated in the prison with the population they "identify" as being, or allowed to share restroom facilities with biological women. There are some very important issues that affect everyone when people are allowed to "identify" as whichever gender they choose, and the excuse that we are prejudiced if we don't allow it really doesn't justify this. The truth really is that there are two genders - male and female, and our genetics determine which gender we are, and we are causing some major problems that affect a lot of people in a very negative way when we pretend that isn't the case. I think some people make a lot of money pretending to be the opposite gender, and of course they're going to defend the idea that this should be allowed everywhere; these people may have more influence with their ability to hire lawyers... but our laws and our quality of life shouldn't have to reflect whoever has the most money. I don't know the statistics about how many people overall actually are transgender, but I really don't think it would serve any good purpose if the majority of the population was transgender and I don't think that should be supported.

Well, I agree that anyone with a penis shouldn't be incarcerated in a women's prison. That seems like common sense, and I guess that had to be demonstrated the hard way when someone decided to incarcerate someone who "identified" as a female. I also agree that for the same reason, it is common sense that people who "identify" as female should not be sharing public restrooms with people who were born female, especially since there's no way it can be verified whether someone has a penis or not. I don't know that much about gender reassignment surgery, but maybe if it's possible for the person to produce sperm, they shouldn't be incarcerated in the prison with the population they "identify" as being, or allowed to share restroom facilities with biological women. There are some very important issues that affect everyone when people are allowed to "identify" as whichever gender they choose, and the excuse that we are prejudiced if we don't allow it really doesn't justify this. The truth really is that there are two genders - male and female, and our genetics determine which gender we are, and we are causing some major problems that affect a lot of people in a very negative way when we pretend that isn't the case. I think some people make a lot of money pretending to be the opposite gender, and of course they're going to defend the idea that this should be allowed everywhere; these people may have more influence with their ability to hire lawyers... but our laws and our quality of life shouldn't have to reflect whoever has the most money. I don't know the statistics about how many people overall actually are transgender, but I really don't think it would serve any good purpose if the majority of the population was transgender and I don't think that should be supported.
