So great to see more "female photographers"! (Sorry won't use that term again but I'm so happy to see more diversity in the photography community). Your work rocks! *Subbed* 😍
I've really been enjoying asking for portraits, especially from people who seem to be interested in what I'm doing. Also...I would have never been able to give in to letting my shoes get wet. Good for you for surrendering to the moment.
Another good stuff from the west, more on the streetlife please🙏.. cause all the good ones moved to Eastcoast and no body photographing in west except you and kingjvpes.
Nice work Brie some great shots as always! I was there in summer of 2014. Such a great time and miss it every day.. will get back soon with M4 & be sure to get my feet wet!
Just subbed, i live in NYC and shoot with an M6, If you ever make it over here to the East Coast Coney Island is a MUST! I shoot there often. Outstanding work here Brie.
Thanks for the sub, happy to have you here! Last time I made it to NYC was my childhood but hopefully I can go sometime in the near future… will definitely head to Coney Island! 🖤
Great photos and awesome video :) Can I ask if the lens hood on your Leica obstructs the viewfinder? I recently, well last year, bought a similar lens hood for my Canon QL17 Rangefinder and when it's on it obsructs like almost a third of the viewfinder when I look through it lol :)
Thank you so much! I have to say… it does obstruct a little bit. Not quite 1/3 of my bottom right frame but I can definitely see it through the viewfinder. I try to frame my shot in my mind before pressing the shutter so I already know what I want in the bottom right corner. Hope this helps, I believe it’s a common issue once you go wider than the 35mm lens. 🙃
Really enjoyed this video. Question. You were shooting portra 800 on a super sunny day with 28mm so that allowed you to shoot fully stopped down or did you shoot at other than box speed?
You got a sneaky style of stealing moments. Love your style. But do they get offended? Especially taking photos of their kids? How do you respond when they get angry? In digital, you can delete the photo in front of them. Just curious, coz you are always very close to them.
Here in Montreal, they sometimes even call the cops. My friend had a similar experience, luckily, he didn't have any photos of the woman when the police checked his photos.
lmao why is the title los angeles street photography but you went to venice beach and santa monica beach which isnt los angeles its in los angeles county . i thought i was getting to see los angeles lmao but its fine just misleading is all but thanks for the video tho
My favourite shot was of that man walking with his cane. Glad I found your channel. Love walking around shooting like you do as well!
Your instinct to get into the water got you pictures with more emotions up close. Great results and keep it up the good work!
Thank you so much! I totally agree, sometimes you gotta sacrifice your shoes for your craft 👟

It’s been too long. Another great vid!!
It really has been - thanks for sticking around! Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼
Hi… are you using zone focusing? That’s what I use for quick shots.
Hi there! Yes, I zone focus 95% of the time when shooting street 📷
I like it, I love it, I want some more of it

Coney Island is a Kodak moment, as long as someone doesn’t steal your Leica !
Appreciate the communication and interaction with your subjects.
Thank you so much! I try to interact with my subjects when it feels necessary while also staying in the moment 📷
Welcome back!👋👋
The subtle flex of loading film while walking.
Is that lens the Voigtlander Ultron 28mm mk1

Take your rb next run!

Amazing video

When I know I will be shooting around sand, salt water, and winds; I leave my Leica M6 at home and take an expendable backup camera instead.

Why would you shot portra 800 during the day? It makes no sense
Portra 800 works fine during the day. Looks great shot at 200.
