That's how I felt too at first, but I've been around for this saga almost from the very start post-Smokey server collapse.
He has shown consistent manipulative behaviors, deceptive practices, and genuinely predatory behaviors like explained in the video (i.e him showing hentai in his old private/personal server which contained a fair amount of minors).
Even after Smokey and Kiwi started to grill him.
If the manipulation and deception are to be taken at face value, it's very likely to be sociopathic tendencies; people with this particular trait are difficult to treat, as it's usually tied into a personality disorder.
He has weaponized his genuine conditions/mental health problems a lot, and that's often a huge red flag.

There's a pedophile in my town who just passed. People are actually defending him in the name of "tolerance" because he was a little person, and supposedly had a "diminished mental capacity" that kept him from being held accountable in his court cases (one for raping a minor). I personally witnessed him be charming with women and absolutely vulgar with young men and teen males. My one best friend was working at the local library when this dude was caught committing sexual acts in the bathroom directly across the hall from the children's section, in the basement of the library. Even his parents knew he shouldn't unsupervised, yet when they passed, he was left to his own devices, which meant sexually harassing and propositioning nearly every youthful looking male daily until he was banned from several establishments. But how quickly people forget the past and offer second chances....thing is, he was hanging around the local elementary school til the last year of his life, so I'd say he hadn't changed or controlled his "predilections" one bit. It's absolutely incredible to me how often this kind of thing happens, and the predator escapes any sort of justice by playing into their weaknesses....We have to do better and make stricter laws regarding sexual offenses involving minors. So many times there are blatant signs and nothing is ever done. The safety of our kids should be more important than any predator's feelings. This world is so backwards.

I haven't watched Tawawa so idk about that one, but Freezing is like so far from pdf-level, at least from my memory.
It was one of the first anime I watched back in 2011/2012 as my friend who got me into watching anime said it was decent. I've never really enjoyed those "lewd" or "ecchi" anime so it wasn't my cup of tea.
