Aspartame and saccharine are not sugar but artificial sugars, they don't increase glucose levels and negligible calories.. Hence recommended as an option for diabetics.

When I went cold turkey on sugar, I stopped having low energy, no more headaches early in the morning, I'm not as heavy and thick as I used to be, no bloating, can control my food consumption... I really agree that sugar is bad, bad, bad for ones overall wellbeing.

sugar isn't bad for you (cos you need energy and carbohydrates), it's just when it is taken excessively. to train urself reduce it little by little you could also make your own treats so you can control your sugar intake

To answer your question yes one of the main causes Weigh gain has many factors but sugar(carbohydrates if not well metabolise will cause weight gain. We need carbohydrates but not in excess,about 50g of carbohydrates each day that is like a cup of boiled bean.Switch meals with low carbs menu,salad bowl,berry fruits,eggs,pork,beef ,fish ,olive oil this are food high in healthy foods that will fill u up quickly but u end up not having unnecessary carbs.

Yogurt in moderation eating alot of it can increase you cholesterol levels. Thats why greeks and indians have high cardiovascular heart problems
