I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager and was told I may never birth a child. Mine came with irregular menstrual cycles and heavy bleeding, I mean bleeding for months! God blessed me with a son. Pcos is not what any woman should experience ooo. I waited for 19 years, and just when I said to myself, Abi, forget it, you can't have kids. God stepped in and blessed me with 3 children in 4 years. Glory to God.

I was diagnosed with PCOS at 21 or so...and even though am single and not trying or never tried to have a baby I can tell u for free..I have this unspoken fear for when I finally get married cos I know it's going to cause me fertility issues. So I relate with chef Amaka. My symptoms is beginning to improve..I have facial hair, missed periods sometimes but also improving, gaining weight( working on that), crazy acnes and wild sugar cravings...it's been a roller coaster I won't even lie!!..Then the pressure of " ur still single in ur 30s if marriage no dey come, go born PICKIN"... I was diagnosed of PCOS at the age of 19. Last saw my period at the age of 18 and since then I have not had any period till date. I am currently 29 with 2 beautiful children, all thanks to fertility treatment and God's intervention.
After I met my husband, we started trying for a baby immediately after I told him my condition. We went through a fertility treatment to help me ovulate and for my egg to fertilise. But from a young age, I have been praying up to God to help me have children one day beacuse I never thought that I will one day carry my own children without any period. Hi Winnie I've been a follower for a long time I just want to say I really enjoyed this session and it's an amazing interview and discussion on PCOS and it has also encouraged me to take my health seriously and eat the right amount of food I have hyper thyroiditis and it has really affected myself esteem in a lot way that I find it difficult to associate with people and it has made me loose hope in myself I just try to put up a smile on my face but it doesn't come from inside recently I've been taking fellowship seriously and reading books plus also listening to motivational talks it's really not easy being a lady and battling with a health condition and been placed on a lot of drugs most times I cry myself to sleep I feel restless and there are days when I don't even sleep at allThank you once more for this interesting conversation with Chef Amaka I really love her energy please I would love you to recommend a book for me to read too if you could God bless you Winnie ❤

The pains felt during this examination differs from person to person depending on their pain threshold.
