Great points. The main issue I've had producing music in my studio was not being able to hear all the bass, but later hearing too much of it coming through stereo systems with a sub. Having a sub allowed me to control the bass so everyone hears good and balanced bass.
Thanks for the nice balanced review. I'm getting plans developed in my head as to setting up a home studio in my garage and every little bit of information helps. I've heard good things about this product as well as the nearfield monitors they are paired with. I like the bypass switch giving you that option of not having to use the sub all the time. Thanks again for your review.
You should always buy a sub woofer, you dont have to produce on them (using the bypass switch) but you really want to enjoy your end mix and if his explanation is based for bed rooms producers I can understand you dont need a sub bass.
What a coincidence, I just ordered an Adam Sub10 Mk2 yesterday. I’m pairing it with A7Xs, which I’ve had for about a year. I’ve been using the A7Xs with a KRK 10S, but I had always planned to replace the KRK with an Adam sub. IMO the A7Xs don’t have anywhere near enough low end for mixing techno, and I almost returned them when they were new, but I borrowed the KRK sub from my DJ rig, and was able to justify keeping the A7Xs.
I have A7x too, should I get this sub woofer? is it a good combination?
so what diffrence u get between sub10mk2 y krk sub?
Can I use this with some 12” alto tops for small dj sets at home? 10-20 people.
z reviews needs to review this
haha why? He says to every speaker "this is the best speaker I ever had"...
Yamaha HS OR Adam Audio TV series?!? I can’t decide!!!
Yamaha hs are garbage plz don’t disrespect Adam by comparing those shit with adam audio’s top notch quality
Nice review. I appreciate the transformers in the background specially that star fire.
One huge CON to consider.
If you have a 2.1 setup and wire the monitors though the sub, it will go to sleep after 10 minutes and take about 5 seconds to wake up, no way to turn this auto-off feature, super frustrating issue. Also if you are at low volume it may even turn off, and you have to boost the volume to wake it up, its super bad design for regular desktop users.
totally, I absolutely regret buying it.
Hi @Kivylius, hi @Solkansky , thanks for the heads up !
It is a pretty obvious idea, but I have to ask : have you tried setting the volume high on your source, and lowering it directly on the sub (and monitors?) via their own volume knobs ?
I imagine that sending high volume input on the sub could prevent it from going into standby mode, while lowering the output volume from the sub could allow to listen music at low volume… does this work in practice ?
Do you have any idea how this sounds compared to other subs? I have a KRK 10S, and I wonder how they response and tightness of the two would stack up.
always great insight. thank you
Advertising only and ppl like this!
Where did you buy this. The major stores in the us dont have them yet?
Manufacturers send us review samples directly to test, often before general release.
Great review! Very helpful thanks!
Soo I got the Adam sub8 as for 400. Same price as the T10s. I have the T7V should I sell this sub8 for more then 400 and get money out of it and buy the T10S or just keep the 8? :D
I will get 2 subwoofers next to the T7V's. I don't want the 28-85Hz in mono. You go stereo or nothing.
The T10S pushes the sound in the ground which is really strange.
Maybe the Sub 8 is better. It has a filter also. I'm not sure yet.
@@UnknownHumanoid There's no stereo below 150Hz 🤦♀️
UnknownHumanoid that’s the worst advice I’ve ever heard
Nice, would you consider reviewing the Kali Audio LP-6 Studio monitors as well? Judging by the raving reviews, these low-cost studio monitors should be a really interesting option for many of the viewers of this channel
Haven’t come across those (until now). Will reach out and see if they’re interested!
Can we use this for T8V
Same here, should we?
How does this sub is different from any consumer grade sun in terms of performance, specially sealed subs for music, which are of 300-400 watt rms, also these are cheaper,so using two of them would be ideal instead of those 300-400 watt sealed subs for multimedia and music use?like sealed sub producing tight, controlled, musical bass, these will perform the same ?as these are cheap, plus have Port,so it won't make them slow or loose bass?
Could this fit in cabin luggage?
No
i have a pair of T5V and when playing my tracks in class (music production studies) or in other systems the bass just kills the song because i crank it up.
kills the song as in good?
@@linghan3260 i'm having too much bass in the songs because i can't hear it right.
The songs turn out bad.
@@Agm1995gamer That's really odd, did you turn it up yourself with an eq?
Consider HK Audio (here: Lucas Smart to compare with this setup). I think they are more rock solid and quality is super good. It’s more serious than this setup (if we consider 2.1)
ADam AuDio. 👏👏
I regret buying this sub, it sounds ok. what I absolutely hate about it is that it turns itself off after 15 min and it volume needs to be high for it to turn itself up... with takes like 2 or 3 seconds. There is no way to disable it. I am considering set it on fire, really really annoying.
2-3 seconds is a deal breaker for you?
So true about SUBS
Always treat your room acoustically before buying a sub.
Why paper cone?
That’s what worries me
What does paper cone mean? I already ordered this subwoofer
I'm happily running Dual SVS PB-1000's, for $950 hard to beat...
My friend you are correct
