Getting close to the S1 finale! Not because I'm one of those "it gets good in S2" people but the S1 finale is definitely a hype moment. Also, fun fact: in the recent Netflix live-action adaptation, the dad from this episode gets played by Danny Pudi, the actor who plays Abed in Community!
Legend of Korra is a sequel following the journey of the next Avatar after Aang. It's definitely worth watching for a lot of reasons, several ATLA characters re-appear as elders & get involved in the battles. I think by the time you guys finish ATLA you'll either want to watch LoK or attempt the live-action Netflix series (which imo is better than the Shyamalan movie (watch that one at your own risk lmao) but distinctly more of an alternative adaptation of the story, lots of changes were made).
Yes there is a southern air temple. We were there in episode 3. It's where we met Momo.
The people of the Air Nation are Nomads. They didn't really have a country, they just traveled between the four big air temples.
They're bri'ish trash, they don't get it 💀💀💀

The second episode was at the Southern Airtemple. That's where Aang was born and taught and lost his Master and freaked out with Katara and Sokka
The episode in which Sokka violates the Geneva convention.
