Hello I came to yuotube looking for: adding a chaser to a mixer and I landed here. You seem to know a lot about mixers so allow me to ask you a question. I have a noise problem using my SoundCraft UI12 as a main out mixer and a Peavey PV 10AT mixer as a sub. (or the reverse combination does the same) I get a pretty bad ground noise problem, and thus, cannot do what I like with the two. (I use 2 BOSE L2 towers and the large sub for the output in stereo). your video covered a setup of two mixers pretty well, but lets add one more mixer for our female vocalist who wants to have her channel isolated to control it separately. ( I desire the SoundCraft to be used for mixing the total output to the Bose towers, having another person mix the volume and tones with my IPad out in the room.) Our band setup is only a Yamaha Genos Keyboard and my electric Lead guitar. all three of us sing, but the keyboard player needs the auto tune module in his peavey to correct his flat voice. he wont sing without it. the female singer wants to have complete control over her voice with her own sub mixer, and myself needs to have a clean signal that demonstrates my vocal abilities especially when I do imitations of famous singers such as Elvis, Buddy Holly, and even some of the best country singers like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and Freddy Fender, to name a few. Can you help with all that?? MDJ.
Hey sound engineer, I've got a question about mixer outputs. I have a small mixer where only the left output is working, and this left output has two jacks with different sizes. I'm wondering if it's possible to: 1. Send one jack from the left output to a main mixer. 2. Send the other jack from the same left output to a separate, dedicated speaker. Basically, I'm trying to split the signal from one functioning output. Is this setup feasible? If so, what potential issues should I watch out for? Thanks for your expertise!
Can you please reply me back? I have this situation. I have a powered mixture (2x250,4 ohm) and an analogue mixture (signature 16) . I dont have a budget to buy an amplifier. I connected the analogue mixture output to powered mixture using line out to power my passive speakers (elx115). Will it ruin the speakers? should i buy a power amplifier?
This may be a dumb question, duh, I am not sure, but a friend of mine had all the vocals on a small mixer with FX's, etc. He plugged an XLR from the main out on the small mixer to the first XLR input of the 2nd larger mixer. He said it worked very well. Why do you not have that as an option, and for what reason. Curiously - Joe Thank you all.
May I add that: If using an "XLR cable" from the main out(output) of a mixer and that "XLR cable" goes into a mic in(input) on another mixer, you should use an "attenuator" in-between the connection of both mixers because, "line levels" and "microphone levels" use different amounts of voltage to operate properly --- the voltage amount difference is huge between a "line level" and a "microphone level".
great job.. how do use a compressor to support a whole mixer? and in stereo.. would that mean i have to use 6 amplifiers?.. or how do i set it up using only 3 amplifiers of 2.. hope you find the time to answer this..thanks
Thank you for the info video! I have 2 - 8 Chan mixers (Mckie & Yamaha) I want to do the TEST TONE on you mention at marker 9:35, Q = is the 800 Hz the only one I'll need to do or are there more? Awesome job of showing us How To! So do you go up the scale of each Hz to balance the 2 mixers or will only one do?

Hi, first of all this is an awesome video (Liked and subscribed) and has helped me so much. However, I do have a question. My main mixer is a Gemini ES210MXBLU and it has no umity setting just has volume for "stereo in" (which I am going in from my sub mixer) and main volume knobs that both go from 0-10. My question is what level do I set the volumes for stereo in and main volume on the main mixer?
Hello ! How do I use more than one effect at a time on one mixer ? Is there a good mixer with many effects where I can use more than one effect at the same time ? Thank you
Hi, I am trying to do just what you are talking about. Can you re-explain what you are doing with the small board where the effects are? You are going on the red and white, left and right into a channel? Channel 4 where (a channel imput 1/4 inch at the top of the channel, then you are going to the control room out or monitor out or mean out? what is a mean out? We did everything you told us but can not get it to happen. We have a Bheringer Board with onboard effects and can not get the effects into the other board. Eurorack 2222fx is the board we want to get the effects out of. Mackie 1402 is the board we want to put the effects into. We are either getting an entirely dry signal or an entirely wet signal with no dry. Thanks if you can advise?

Hi there! Great video! Now I am looking to purchase a cable-Y as shown in your video. what is it called ? I can't find any on your website either. Di you have a direct link to this item ?
Great video! I have a question where I think the answer is no, but hope you can confirm? For my band I need to plug my smaller mixer with 4 channels / 2 Aux from the main outs to the left/right Inputs of my larger mixer with 8 channels / 4 Aux,. I then have to connect the fall backs speakers into the 4 Aux of the 8 channel mixer - but my question is, is there a way for me to incorporate and adjust the mix of what is plugged into the 4 channel mixer through the 4 Aux of the 8 channel mixer? Example I may have 4 mics for backup vocals in the smaller mixer whilst the instruments and main vocals are in the larger 8 channel mixer. But the band may ask me to bump up the backup vocals in the fall backs and as the fall backs are plugged into the 4 outs of the larger mixer I don’t really have a way of bumping them up other than turning up the volume which of course goes through the main speakers for the crowd? Hope that question made sense? Thanks

@@expertisland so basically if I plug the T4S into the T8S (which has 4 Aux outs) I want to be able mix whatever I have plug directly into the T4S through the Aux of the T8S (let’s say the backup vocals mics of the 4 instrumentalists) but I don’t think there’s a way to do that? At least not the way I’m doing it where I plug the T4S main outs into the ins of the T8S? I also tried doing it the other way around T4S into the T8S with all instruments and backup vocals plugged into the T8S and the 2 leads in the T4S but then I’m stuck being able to only put the lead vocals through the 2 Aux Outs via fall backs lol.
For the first method that u showed, let say I mic up my entire drum kit, which is a five piece drum kit, how do I add EQ to every drum mic, for the snare, tom 1 Tom 2 floor Tom and kick?
