That DSG is really cool. To bad its design is too complicated for most drivers need; stop and go traffic, tailgating, people who like to use the brakes and gas intermittently etc. As far as performance goes this could be (probably is) a huge advantage in motor racing.
You say that you don't know about the technicalities, but... I have a thought. If vw engineers have not already added "algorithims" for speed vs rpm vs throttle position it would probably be advantagious to do that. Of course on the down side, and there always is one when it comes to "people"... they could then use that kickdown tendancy ( that tells me their already working in this angle based on what ive seen from dsg) to tow stuff; not like its not an easy tell. Of course there are still the variables effecting tq and hp power loss that would throw the mechatronics unit off. Oh, that reminds me, ... a long time ago my/our church had an old gmc bus, suprisingly it only had 350 chevy small block, but I remember my grandfather explaining to my brother that the final was really big, probably over 4.10, which helped the 350 have the power to move it, but the engine would be really screaming by the time it got to 50mph, also it had some serious problems staying in gear, it was an automatic. Ah, memories.
Hi I'm from the UK with this 7 Speed DSG unit on my 1.6TDI Golf. The vehicle has done over 97k miles . So far the unit is performing well...let's hope it can go for another 50k!
Hi is your clutch dry or wet,i have a 1.6tdi mark 7 dry clutch.does it need fluid change, people tell me that it is a sealed unit does not need changing.even the dealer did not have service intervals, but a specialist told me he will change the fluid for me.is he after my money i wonder.

I have a dual clutch and love it. Mine is the 9M, and not the 9G. Just changed the tranny fluid and filter a few days ago, according to specs. I had a pcv valve error , and this time I replaced the entire valve cover and not just the pcv unit. Good thing too cuz when I removed the valve cover the rubber gasket was broke in 2 places, and oil was getting very close to my spark plug compartments.....which 3 weeks prior i had replaced all plugs along with 5 new coils. Glad that this time I decided to replace the valve cover cuz I discovered some things that were going on underneath. Just a heads up to everyone.
I have a Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI with the same 7 spd DSG. After about a year of purchase, I bought a VRS steering wheel with paddle shifters and swapped out the old non-paddle steering wheel. My car is the top spec, so no tuning was needed, no modules or wires were cut during the install, no reason whatsoever. I drove the car after the steering swap for about 3000 miles, and one fine day, rig after I got the car from its third maintenance service visit, the car showed an ESC error, TPMS ERROR, and came to a halt. I turned the car off, and tried to restart it, it won't start. Within a second, I see smoke coming out of the hood, and when i popped the hood open, there were flames coming out!! Yes, the Mechatronic was on fire!! The flames subsided and there wasn't any further damage in the car luckily, and the dealership replaced the mechatronic unit. They honoured my warranty and didn't charge me a penny. But they gave me a ridiculous reason for the fire, was that steering swap I did. Help
On DQ200 there is nothing that can catch fire. The TCU board is ceramic, there are numerous AL wire bondings that will melt before without fire....and ewerithing is covered in conformal coating....that gel thing. The BLDC in emersed in OIL and the mecatronic is capsulated....
Hi there, I have a problem with my mechatronic module, also is a 7 speed DSG, but I don't have guarantee and VW don't want to change it for guarantee, and it cost around 4K, what is your opinion about, I should sell it?
Thanks for the video gr8. I have replaced many of them on TSI 1.2 and golf6 polo6 the part its expensive the comon problem on them they crack by the accumulator and losses pressure
George Lappat maybe you got bad luck with them mate. I came from Japanese Nissan which for me had lot issues. Even though car body too weak. Nah didn’t like it same Toyota Honda feels like driving a coke can. I know those cars. Engines are boring as fuck what r u talking about are funny? Want funny things? Get an American car if you do u like Europeans. Any Dodge Charger, challenger are much funnier than that Supra, Chevrolet Camaro wow how funny car! I’m driving atm a VW Jetta GLI never problems mate. Did u follow on time maintenance using corn oil or what? Lol these cars are special and need special and great oils. Etc. Lol it’s very funny to me reading all Japanese fan cars always on european groups hahahha. If I make a video about Japanese’s cars I’ll find heaps issues as I said I know those cars too and are not perfect lol
Great video Charles, im driving a 1.4 tsi, i believe it has this dri clutch. The symptoms of the problem are that as soon as you drive off , it slips out of drive and technically goes in to neutral. Vw says the clutch is worn out a bit and all they need to do is recalibrate the megatronics with a computer and they drive it on a highway so that they reconfrig all the gears . Does that sound correct to you
Thank for very informative video! I have only one question, it is possible to seal Unit after Oil leak and no problem with changing gears? Everybody told me that only solution is replace whole unit. thanks!
I got a 12 Volkswagen CC the other day. DSG trans with a 6 speed auto tripping code P0746 pressure control solenoid stuck off. Took the mecha out and look it over real good. All solenoid check out good. OHMS wise. opened the circuit board on the back and all checked good in there also other then some of the silicone may have bubbled up near 2 of the connections? Opinions?
Quick question... Have a 2013 VW Jetta Hybrid with 155k miles and looking at draining the fluid in the Mechatronic and wondering how much fluid do I need to add back in? Plus is there anything special I need to do after? Plus I've read a number of things that state the tranny fluid does not need to be changed on this model but then have read other post saying it does? Do you by change know for sure if it does or doesn't? Thanks! Great videos.
AFAIK, as of today, there is no service interval. My understanding is that there were two back-to-back recalls back when the car was in production that switched the type of the oil and the service interval briefly existed only between the two recalls. So, individuals' stories depend on when the car was built and when these recalls were addressed. The unit now takes a very particular oil. No idea on the amount it takes, though, you can always measure the amount of oil you remove. Cheers!
Hi there humblemechanic my engine light came on saying stuck in 1st gear (I have a 2014 vw jetta hybrid) and it now drives skiping every other gear for example it only drives in 2nd 4th and 6st gear I started hearing a clocking noise when it shifted into 3rd before the issue happened not sure if I need a whole transmission or just the unit in this video
@@JS-bf9dw The hot oil creates a relatively hostile environment for components compared to ambient air temperature. Forget about SMD electrolytics for example. Only Tantalums capacitors will cope with that temperature. However, I can see that placing the board inside the gearbox significantly reduces the number of electrical connections that need to be brought out of the gearbox (solenoid valve drivers) if the board were externally mounted. But I think it's still a better option.
Hi, I have been facing an issue with the DSG gearbox on a 2014 model Polo GT Tsi1.2L 4cyl Turbo engine in India. The problem is that, the odd number of gears are not being engaged. Only 2,4,6 and Reverse gear are working on the vehicle. Please suggest what can be the cause. Thanks
i bought used VW sirocco (1.4 twin chargers with 13k km ) -_- after 15km car oil change. the nightmare start 1st mechatronic went bust and got fixed with software then after few km got bust again so they replaced it. at 16km its start to rugh shift from 2D ,3D ,4D and vice versa:/ .. I work at a transmission workshop and we recondition these units all the time, mostly VW and Audi are the cars that tend to fail more than others. You're right though, there aren't any spec sheets for it. I work with a few geniuses that worked it out ;) Audi and VW dealerships send us their cars 🙃😏
Hello, I am repairing dq200 mechatronics electronics. I want to test it in my own workshop, what kind of software and fault finding. I would be glad if you could help me.
+HumbleMechanic is this the DQ200 unit (which is a 7 Speed Dry Clutch unit)? If so, this is the unit used in 1.2TSI VW Polo in India (and Malaysia). It known to be pretty problematic, especially in hot environment, with slow moving traffic (Like India and Malaysia). Another issue with this unit is low torque capability (something like 250Nm).
My DSG 7 has a random behavior. Sometimes it shifts perfectly, while other times on the same situation you can feels the shift, or even see the RPM go a little bit up before it shifts. Once I changed the battery of my Golf and on the first run the DSG was perfect. After that it went back to normal randomness. What could be causing it?
@@jithj4350 Thankfully not yet. My Golf 1.4 TSI is now 8 years old and 150.000 Km on the odometer, and the DSG has been working ok all this time. What I noticed, considering my last comments above is that the gear changes aren't so smooth with very low loads, but it works sincerely flawlessly on medium loads. Just got the temperature flap on the driver side to stop working, got stuck on the lowest temperature possible, which isn't nice because I'm on winter right now. This turned out to be a 1900 BRL (~500 USD) bill to repair.
(So my jetta hybrid is out of warranty with 110k on my car) and I was at the vw dealer getting an oil change and they had another jetta hybrid also out of warranty and the trans went (approx 100,000 plus range miles they said) while also destroying the ev motor so it was A total of $12,000 out of warranty job. That car got a flat bed to the scrap yard. It's a shame because it was in excellent condition too. My heart was dulled a little by that.
The rare earth magnet motor drives a pump to provide a system pressure of 4 bar if I remember correctly. The fluid accumulator is indeed a piston type accumulator that provides back up pressure for initial selection and is charged by the pump when the vehicle is overrunning to provide a degree of regeneration and "free" gear changes. The nested clutch levers in this are clever (and patented). The DQ200 dry clutch obviously has superior efficiency to any wet clutch design and was an attempt at automated shifting with MT efficiency in small engined cars. Hill hold and creep were difficult issues to overcome and preserve clutch life, but I am told these issues were the drivers for auto handbrakes. The spool valves in this transmission are amongst the tightest tolerance precision parts I have ever seen in automotive engineering.
Ok thanks i saw some on ebay with my matching part number can i just buy it and do the basic setting with my ross tech and be good to go? Or would i need to match the software version as well? Thanks.
Got a DSG7 DQ200 unit with the error P174D valve 2 in partial transmission 2 electrical error open circuit. I have tried new TCM and changed complete valve body but it still shows same error. Can you assist with this?
We have these in our twin charged jetta's. High number of failures due to heat braking down the synthetic oil and depositing sulphur, causing a short in the board. At least that's what vw has told us.
Interesting! The two failures you have seen happened before the recall or after? VW says the mineral oil replacement vs synthetic oil stops the problem, but I have seen two cars with mineral oil and both not included in the recall that have had mechatronic failures.
I had the service action performed as well, but changing the corrosive fluid doesn't mean it addresses any of the damage to that point. At 78000 miles in my 2013 jetta hybrid I am now faced with replacing the mechatronics. What do you think-- worth spending over $7000 to keep my car?

I bring to the VW dealer to know what happened they now say it the megatronic or the transmission need to be replace again. Now I need to know if there is any coalition between the power steering (making little noise when turning) and the megatronic maybe made the unit stop working. How to know what need to be change? megatronic or the transmission? How to test the unit to make sure and take the right decision also if I need to replace the megatronic can I buy it on Ebay? Thanks for the help

2014 Jetta6, only gear 1,3,5 & 7 working. 2,4, 6 and reverse are not working? Im not sure if should try replace oil or go for mechatronic overhaul instead of new mechatronic.
hey awesome video!!!!!!!, i own a MK6 Golf Twincharged DSG7, i have developed a few problems with the dsg, i noticed the D light blinks and the car stalls, i have to restart the car and it goes back to normal, i have scanned it using VCDS, and ive gotten a code P0841, can you say if a basic settings can fix this problem or what do you suggest?
Hi Charles, any chance you would do an updated stronic/dsg video. Common failures and repairs/upgrades eg: oil pressure fault due to cracked housing - upgrade with Kinergo accumulator "housing" kit? I mean, now that these gearboxes are all over from the polo to the a3 from 1.0 to 2.0 there will be a lot more interest. I myself are pondering how many common ways these go and if there is upgrades for all or some. cheers!

I have a 2012 CC 2.0t DSG. Had the infamous timing chain fiasco which involved bent valves (new head) next day after I got it the water pump failed. Upon further inspection from me, two of the spark plugs weren't seated correctly. Put a level across the could and they were a half inch higher than the correctly seated plugs. My transmission now makes clunk clunk clunk sounds when I put it park or in neutral. Strange thing is that it doesn't clunk if the front end of the vehicle is higher than the rear end. I have that DSG7 on my 1.6 diesel engine and I'm little bit worried about if it fails... it hasn't failed yet but I feel like it's a time bomb. I've read a lot of DSG reliability issues and they're very expensive to fix, so I think I'll have to sell my car with only about 30k miles.

If it happens on an uphill that the car goes backwards while in "d" , can this cause a problem to the gearbox ( dsg ) if I just step on tha gas pedal ? Thanks in advance
My 2019 Volkswagen Beetle has the Transmission control unit mounted inside the cowl area of the car. A sneaky, mischievous, and terrible design on behalf of the engineers of this vehicle to boost themselves profits!!! If you own one of these beetles, (assuming the cowls and wiper blades are removed), make sure to first remove the control module, set it aside, stick the water hose down into the cowl drains, and flush out the debris down there. Then clean the inside cowls with soap and water like you would the body of the car, then dry up the control module mounting area, and snap the cowls and wiper blades back into place. That will prevent flooding, water seeping into your interior from the passenger side fresh air opening, and an electrical short waiting to happen down in there, resulting in an immobilized paper weight of a vehicle.
There was a ton of debate on this one. Vw listed it for a while then didn’t. The issue we had was it was just the hybrid Jetta. So it was like $400 or more. I’d want to change it

In my opinion, if a car maker wants to make a hybrid, it might as well make it with a CVT. The startup torque is provided by the electric motor anyway.
Hi. I have a VW Jetta Hybrid (85,000km) and the car shows the following symptom. When leaving the place and running at low speed (when it should remain in electric mode) makes the transition far too early on the gasoline engine. Then, about three seconds apart, he makes repetitive switching from the electric motor to the gasoline engine and vice versa. I took the car to two services and received two different causes (answers). Have you encountered this symptom before? Do you have any idea what this problem might be? Thanks
I have exactly the same problem. After heating up and stopping of the car, it turns the engine off and on after around 3 seconds. When I turn e-mode on, it says that it isn't available. As if after the stopping and switching to e-mode it instantly switches the car into petrol mode. This keeps repeating constantly. What problem they diagnosed you in the service? Here could be a problem.drive.google.com/file/d/1O-Xc-FViavZeAPOQQEp_HgK5BgPolJXG/view

There are videos with definitely more disassembling... those things you called valves are solenoids and they are the main responsables for the mechatronic fail
Hello, first of all again an aweesome video of you. Keep the good work. I have one question about my DSG transamission. Could a bad solenoid be the reason my DSG is making a downshift clunk from 3rd to 2nd gear. No shaking, juddering or anything, the dsg shift fluid and precise like a dream except that clunk sound on downshift... It'a 2006 AUDI A3 SB 2.0 TDI DSG (6 speed) Thanks :)

Hi my 2010 polo is stuck in rev gear and when I try to start its not starting is that mechtronic problem ... all that happened when I was reversing the car
iirc some years ago i read there was a recall on the 7-gear dry DSG in China as they where failing A LOT, seems like the dry system is not very good. Also, you mention you dont see a lot of hybrids, yet you changed a couple of these(insanely expensive part, plus most likely a lot of hours of labor), that doesn't speak well on reliability (% unit changed vs quantity of vehicles) nor on very long term survivability (hell if this breaks out of warranty.... you'0ll probably be able to buy a used jetta diesel with the cost of the repair). Since it uses power steering fluid, that means the entire gearbox is using PS fluid?!?, or the mechatronic unit is SEALED from the gearbox itself and runs its own presure pump?
Hey. I have a Golf 6 1.2 TSI DSG7. After the engine heats up (15-20 minutes) in the 3,4,5,6,7 gears (not 1 and 2) and only between 1800-2100 rev it starts accelerating in hops (feels like very short brakes). These "hops" start multiplying the longer I drive, but only between those revs. On Sport mode (>2500) it accelerates fine. The problem really started happening a few minutes after the oil + filters change. at 50k miles. Before the oil change the issue was almost unnoticeable (sometimes doing it just in 5th gear). Changed : clutch, sparks, spark plugs, induction coil, camshaft chain (this was a must). Any ideas please?
Is that considered overly expensive to replace over the traditional auto transmission? I know BMW DCT's are like a ridiculous $15 k or something like that from what I've heard. That's the one on an M3 though.
it's not as expensive as the DCT, I forgot about the price but I'm 100% sure it's under 1K if I remember correctly it's about 700-800$, but remember this is just the controller, the gearbox itself is pretty much bullet proof.
Well was interested in purchasing a nice Jetta hybrid with transmission problem for DYI repair but guess I'll pass, unless someone can recommend an independent shop that can replace these for $3k or less.
could you explain the difference between the "wet" and the "dry" DSG ....i drive a audi A1 1,4 turbo with a dry 7 Speed (even if there is a old A3 quattro on my profile picture :$)
Sometimes, While I am driving my car the gear indicator and the service key on the dashboard are flashing. However, the car is working and the gears are shifting up and down properly. Maybe, have I a problem with the mechatronic unit?

Help
After the swap did everything work as it should
Shimon La Hée He already explained it worked for the first 3,000 miles.
Aditya Wadhwa ok
On DQ200 there is nothing that can catch fire. The TCU board is ceramic, there are numerous AL wire bondings that will melt before without fire....and ewerithing is covered in conformal coating....that gel thing. The BLDC in emersed in OIL and the mecatronic is capsulated....

Hi there, I have a problem with my mechatronic module, also is a 7 speed DSG, but I don't have guarantee and VW don't want to change it for guarantee, and it cost around 4K, what is your opinion about, I should sell it?
convert it to manual
Thanks for the video gr8. I have replaced many of them on TSI 1.2 and golf6 polo6 the part its expensive the comon problem on them they crack by the accumulator and losses pressure
Charles, keep on working! You have gift of knowledge and you know how to pass it to others.
This is the main reason why I don’t buy Audi or VW cars. It scary to own them.
It can feel that way at times.
Lol don’t buy them. VW and audi are for men don’t get scared. Buy a shit from japan lol.
Everybody told me that only solution is replace whole unit. thanks!
we've also been doing quite a few of these at my dealer ship as well, I've done 2 over last 2 months or so. not a real bad job
Having a hybrid means you're wedded to the dealership for the life of the car.
No thanks.
Cheers!
Humble you rock I watch your videos everyday from Puerto Rico
Hi there humblemechanic my engine light came on saying stuck in 1st gear (I have a 2014 vw jetta hybrid) and it now drives skiping every other gear for example it only drives in 2nd 4th and 6st gear I started hearing a clocking noise when it shifted into 3rd before the issue happened not sure if I need a whole transmission or just the unit in this video
Hey Charles, My DQ250 (mkv GLI) jerks alot from a stop. Does it sound like a Mehcatronic Issue? no codes, and have tried bassic settings
I cannot believe they actually place the PC board inside the gearbox. Seems crazy to me.
Great for good temperature regulation in a clean environment. What's not to like?
@@TonyRule What's not to like is the very high temperature operation of the components.
@@rogeronslow1498 this DSG doesn't reach temperatures which could damage the electronics
Hi,
I have been facing an issue with the DSG gearbox on a 2014 model Polo GT Tsi1.2L 4cyl Turbo engine in India. The problem is that, the odd number of gears are not being engaged. Only 2,4,6 and Reverse gear are working on the vehicle. Please suggest what can be the cause.
Thanks
Was it mechatronic or something else?
i bought used VW sirocco (1.4 twin chargers with 13k km ) -_- after 15km car oil change. the nightmare start 1st mechatronic went bust and got fixed with software then after few km got bust again so they replaced it. at 16km its start to rugh shift from 2D ,3D ,4D and vice versa:/ .. (thanks to warranty) i got the clutch pack replaced .. fast forward to 45km i got my DSG oil replaced from synthetic to a mineral.... now the warranty is over and my car still with me and it got 98770 KM.. XD so far so good .if not for warranty i would payed 3500 USD for parts and labour T_T ... VW cars Are awesome to ride / nightmare to keep .. il keep ridding my discontinued sirocco with its discontinued DQ200 DSG until it rust ^_^ then il buy rust buckets GTI and start all over again.
Is that unit involved with my shifter going in gear but don’t engage the gear I select
My Golf SW 1,6 liter TDI with 7 speed dry clutch DSG suddenly did not mow. It then had 113000 km on the counter. The mekatronik unit was replaced and a steering (bushing?) For the shifting fork for gear R and 6 . No clutch repair needed. The TDI has 105 hp and 250 Mn max torq.
I have problem with my transmission, which is engaging to electric motor. It could be the mechatronic unit problem?do you suggest to replace whole transmission or just mechatronic unit only?
Dealerships cost me too much for new transmission! Vehicle even doesn’t worth that much..can I use a used transmission for this?
I work at a transmission workshop and we recondition these units all the time, mostly VW and Audi are the cars that tend to fail more than others. You're right though, there aren't any spec sheets for it. I work with a few geniuses that worked it out ;) Audi and VW dealerships send us their cars 🙃😏
Marni Damoulakis yo plz email or hit me up need one of these reconditioned
Where do you add oil to these types of transmission?
Is there a replacement filter on the transmission?
Hello, I am repairing dq200 mechatronics electronics. I want to test it in my own workshop, what kind of software and fault finding. I would be glad if you could help me.
+HumbleMechanic is this the DQ200 unit (which is a 7 Speed Dry Clutch unit)? If so, this is the unit used in 1.2TSI VW Polo in India (and Malaysia). It known to be pretty problematic, especially in hot environment, with slow moving traffic (Like India and Malaysia). Another issue with this unit is low torque capability (something like 250Nm).
+allajunaki Man I have this same unit in my 1.4TFSI audi a3 in Egypt, and it is also problematic in hot weather and slow traffic.
Im looking to see if the transmission oil can be changed on the unit or not? Still not sure
Should mechatronic unit oil be changed?. If so can I refill it through the bleeder valve.
My rpms rise before shift, exact same behaviour as yours. Did you ever source the problem?
@@andruska1312 unfortunatelly no. I took it to some workshops and anyone noticed anything and they though all was normal… So I gave up
Any issues 4 years down the line?
@@jithj4350 Thankfully not yet. My Golf 1.4 TSI is now 8 years old and 150.000 Km on the odometer, and the DSG has been working ok all this time. What I noticed, considering my last comments above is that the gear changes aren't so smooth with very low loads, but it works sincerely flawlessly on medium loads. Just got the temperature flap on the driver side to stop working, got stuck on the lowest temperature possible, which isn't nice because I'm on winter right now. This turned out to be a 1900 BRL (~500 USD) bill to repair.

Hi. What can caused if 30amper fuse melt all the time on Dsg dq200.? 😬
How can you tell if there are cracks in it like the recall VW has?
Hello where would you get a new mechatronics unit from? Other than the dealer of course.
The dealer, unless someone is remanufacturing them...
Ok thanks i saw some on ebay with my matching part number can i just buy it and do the basic setting with my ross tech and be good to go? Or would i need to match the software version as well? Thanks.
what is the difference between 69D 69K with TCM PLATE please let me know ❤
Does dry hot climate increase chance of breakdown,if used in heavy stop go traffic ?from INDIA .
Thanks for the info. There was a recall a few years ago on our Hybrids for replacing the fluid.
Interesting! The two failures you have seen happened before the recall or after? VW says the mineral oil replacement vs synthetic oil stops the problem, but I have seen two cars with mineral oil and both not included in the recall that have had mechatronic failures.
These failure were both after the service action.
I had the service action performed as well, but changing the corrosive fluid doesn't mean it addresses any of the damage to that point. At 78000 miles in my 2013 jetta hybrid I am now faced with replacing the mechatronics. What do you think-- worth spending over $7000 to keep my car?
Yikes. Tough decision, that car has got to be nearly totalled. I would try to get rid of it, it will break again if you have it fixed.
the way it fails is easy, the valve who pushes the 6th gear is "stucked" because is a selonoid.
I have a 2011 Golf GTI with 130,000km in it, one morning had this same problem with P transmission flashing, but The car wont start when turned the key and give a message “depressed clutch” on the dashboard. My question is before done any test like you did. Is there any warning or indication when the dsg clutch worn out that the car will override for safety?
I had obd eleven and done a basic settings, the message is U0101-lost comm with TCM static from engine module 1, and at gateway 19 shown faults: 01315 TCM no signal, this goes the same message on 09 central electric.
Thank you for any insight.
HI I have a 2013 Jetta hybrid replace the transmission and engine seal last year 2019 ( the engine seal was leaking on the electric engine and transmission was no longer working) now I have a intermittent problem with transmission hybrid warning light when drove in high speed no longer 3 an 5 gear.

Do this mechatronic need oil change. I believe vw says it's sealed for a life time. Is there any advantage in doing so.

Thanks
Never ran into that one. Have you brought it to the dealer?
I have exactly the same problem. After heating up and stopping of the car, it turns the engine off and on after around 3 seconds. When I turn e-mode on, it says that it isn't available. iirc some years ago i read there was a recall on the 7-gear dry DSG in China as they where failing A LOT, seems like the dry system is not very good.
That's not the gearbox mate, maybe the injectors?, not sure but definitely not the gearbox.
DO NOT DO IT!!! I rarely say that flay out, but not on a hybrid Jetta

If a vw specialist de energize my 2013 vw hybrid Pmy transmission, can I then remove the engine and transmission so that he can perform the transmission swap ?. Do the transmission comes out only through the bottom?. I never worked on a hybrid. But I have performed engine and transmission swap and rebuild them too. Please advise
Ps.
Do you have any video about transmission removal on a vw jetta hybrid
Yep engine drops out of the bottom and the system does have to be de-energized. I did a video on mech failure. But nothing on removing the transmission
