Wow. ... u must really love that truck.... thats pretty cool.... im bout to vemture down the same path with stanley.... my very gokd lookin silverado ... he sat for 3 years almost
Cool. Wow you guys did it. that's cool that you guys did that together as a couple. I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe and my wife has a 2001 GMC Yukon we are always adding something. Now I want to cam mine and add a turbo kit. We are also in Vegas. Your home is nice. We are hopefully buying our first new home this year.
My husband and I are both very into vehicles! It's fun to have the same interests and be able to work on vehicles together! The Sierra is my baby, the Focus ST is technically my husband's, and now we have another vehicle that's going to be announced soon. Turbos are cool. I'm more into superchargers and would love to have one on my truck. And thank you! Good luck with the home buying process!
Thank you so much! I have a video after we got the tune done. I can post it below. I no longer have the resonator on her, so she's a little louder but still sounds good! Updated Cam After Tune - ruclips.net/video/bKlP1SUv9Ic/видео.html
sounds great you lucky though you should have never started that truck with out a tune with out at least pluging in the old vally pan unless first start up was after the tune
Hey there fellow Hoosier, love the video. So it looks like it’s been a while now, so how are you liking the Truck Norris? That’s what my son and I are leaning towards putting in to our 2004 Silverado. Can’t wait to hear what you think about it. Thanks
I might be biased, but I absolutely love it! I think for what we needed, and also what my truck might be hauling, it was the perfect option. The chop is great, in my opinion! After the tune, she really came alive and sounded so much better. I have a video on the "before & after tune" that I can link. (ruclips.net/video/bKlP1SUv9Ic/видео.html) And also a drivability video: (ruclips.net/video/uQNjL8zNJFY/видео.html) I've had a lot of compliments on how she sounds, and also people asking about the specific cam and specs. I have no complaints at all with what we did!
Thank you, and no. It's the angle with the protective coating that's flaking off and rusted. Not too many months ago, we traveled to Arizona to get a rust free bed. We ended up driving the five hours one way without a bed on my truck, so the night prior we checked over my frame and everything else that's rusted and original. Her frame is still "perfect", minus the rust.
Thank you! And yes, I did! I do have headers, new plugs and wires, and no matter what, I needed a tune because of putting that cam in. So between all that we did to her, yes she had a lot more pep in her step.
I hope y'all enjoyed this video! Thank you so much for the almost 500 subscribers! Be sure to look back on any of my past vehicle videos for more detailing, headers install, exhaust setups before and after cam and tune, and more! The link to my playlist is in the description box. 😊
In all honesty, since we did the headers and had to drop my pan around the time we did my DOD delete because of a stuck dipstick tube, we worked around the oil pump. We never took it off. We didn't want to have to redo the oil pan, again.

We spent $1,800-2,000 on everything. But that included the Speed Engineering Headers, BTR's personalized DOD delete kit for my truck, Truck Norris Cam, and random things like gaskets from O'Reilly. So depending on what you want to do, I would have anywhere from $1,500-2,500 saved up (as long as you are doing it yourself).
We did tune my truck locally. That was an extra $500 for a street tune, since my truck couldn't fit on his dyno. The price for tuning will vary depending on how and who tunes it. So sorry, technically we spent $2,500 max on the full DOD, headers, etc.
I had drone because my Flowmasters and then when we switched to the Black Widow exhaust, dumped off after my cab. Originally, my Super 10's I had, had dumped after the cab and were pointed to the ground. We went to a junk yard and pulled the rest of the exhaust off a 2007 Tahoe, and put that on my truck. I now have a resonator, along with factory length exhaust, and no drone in the cab.

The only thing is honestly, we are stationed in Vegas. So it’s 100+ degrees and I have my AC always on and semi high because of our son in the backseat. I’m sure if we weren’t out here in the desert and city, I would be around 15-18 mpg for daily and back to my 20-23 mpg for highways. In all honesty, I don’t even worry about my mpg because I came from my ‘91 Cheyenne before my Sierra. I was lucky to hit 10 mpg in that truck, but I hope this helps a little.
