- Filmed on 31/08/2023. Well, after taking time away from the hobby due to work and social commitments, its the time of year for the Summer finale. But, this is the first of 2 stations of the day as last minute planned. Firstly, we kick things off with a few hours at York (Season 10 Episode 23)
'Get Them While You Can' is what people do say these days as for one very good reason for saying this. The recent news from the new management from Transpennine Express has decided by the end of the year, the Transpennine Express Nova 3 sets will be withdrawn from service. This is due to the class 68's sub lease coming to an end. There are other reasons but cannot be too sure about them. Their final running date is due to be 9th December 2023. Its also heard Scarborough TMD is going to be re modelled to accommodate for the class 185's and the Nova 1's which are due to take over. Please be aware though there could be short notice cancellations due to crew training for the Nova 1's.
Grand Central Trains has also been making news with some changes. Due to reliability issues with the class 180 Adelante's, Grand Central has got on loan from ex Avanti West Coast, class 221 Super Voyagers which have been part repainted and branded for Grand Central. These units operates only between Wakefield Kirkgate and London Kings Cross due to gauging issues (I think) vice Bradford Interchange. Also, have taken out of retirement early is ex East Midlands Railway class 180 Adelante's which are bought into service.

Whenever i see the mk5’s on the back or front of a 68 i smile, because at the museum in Immingham, North Lincolnshire, we were on a waiting list for 3 years for the mk5’s to come in N gauge, and 1 week ago, they arrived in perfect condition and are now one of the main runners on the Barnetby to Wraby Jn layout.
3 year waiting list!? Wow, I can't believe it. But, can imagine totally worth it when it does come out in N gauge. It's heard the former MK5 sets could be bound for Chiltern Railways.

@@RickyNowisWhich is more that what you say of what it looks now, "All Engines Go!" Actually I feel sick just thinking and it's doesn't look anything like Thomas The Tank Engine. And of course the old versions and my videos are waiting in store for my niece.

The original series when they used model trains, Ringo Starr/Michael Anglies are narrator's.
@@RickyNowisThat's right they in our childhood and it seems like I brought them back. CGI is rubbish too.
Nice video, I am not keen on the buffers on the class 68s they spoil the look of the front end , they need rounding off.
