There isn't a great competition among those who provide custom patches for this synth, but you are standing out amongst them. Best collection of patches I've encountered so far. Will buy once I hold my UB-XA in my hands.
Berhinger " have created a 16 voice masterpiece for the price"..forget liking it to oberheim. It has a class all of its own..❤..many thanks for your demo.
You can hear the digital part of the modulation very well , by that i mean the modulators , these only became digital in the Ob 8 , that is why i think this sounds more like an original Ob 8 than a Obx a
I love the low end in the synth, what suprised me is very conservative informations in high mids, i find the sounds to be very pleasant, but also every of them feels bit like there is no too much information above 10khz , if any at all. Other then that i find the overal tone of the synth very pleasing. Your patches are nice too. Some of them reminds me of Korg DW8000 somehow. Kind regards.
3:06 How can you modulate the pitch of a sound like that (in its release phase only)? You didn't use the pitch-bend lever. You don't seem to have a controller pedal connected either. 🤔 Is that a trick from the internal modulation matrix or something?
This may not be the correct answer, but it sounds to me like the envelope attack time is set to minimum and the sustain level set to maximum. I would assume that if you tied the pitch to that envelope, it wouldn't change until the release stage. Again, I dont know if this is right; its just a hypothesis.
@@pickyyeeter"if you tied the pitch to that envelope" >> Yeah...I was already thinking about something like that as well. But here's the thing: The UB-Xa has only two envelope generators. One for the VCF and one for the VCA. At first sight (speaking from the panel) there seems to be no such thing as an additional "Pitch EG". After your comment I went to check the manual. On page 8 it says: "The UB-Xa has two envelope generators, which allow the patch of the filter and the amplitude of the Voltage Controlled Amplifier to be contoured. Both Envelope Generators feature four stages of contouring." So even "officially" there is no third envelope generator available. It remains a mystery...
The "page 2" allows simple AD envelopes (uses the same knobs as the regular EGs when in SHIFT mode). Sounds like he's using the Attack of the Pg2 to fade in the LFO. Something like that... probably...I used it a lot on my OB8
These presets bring this bad boy to LIFE. Thank you so much for sharing them. I did run into one issue, the atrophy overwrote slot 1 since it was active, so I have lost the stock UB-XA atrophy profile :(

Thank you ! 😊
Agreed. Excellent!
Do you have your UB-Xa yet?
@@JonJenkins1982 Sadly, I am still waiting. 🙄
@@mwmfl8960don't worry you'll get it. Even i had to wait 2-3 months to get my Ub-Xa. Since I'm from india it takes even longer for me to get it.
There are some good sounds in here. This thing is surprisingly versatile. Thanks for the demo.

This is the only demo of this thing so far that has piqued my interest. Great patches and playing! 👍
Yeah the rest have been pretty blah. We need a JX3P demo.
Best sounding RUclips demo of the synth so far. 👍🏽

@@sauermusicDE You can use the mod matrix to assign either of the envelopes to control other parameters

Sounds fantastic
Are you keeping this synth?juet cant justify the price of a 5 voice teo5 or ob6
Lovely synth sounds!

You can restore Factory Atrophy if needed in the menu, ita not lost.
thinking of buying one... thank you for the great demo !
Great custom sounds. Is there any instructions on how to install your sounds into the ubxa? Purchased your custom sounds few weeks ago
Thanks
Hi Aaron , i sent you an email , look for MIDIOX a free tool to send Sysex files.
Sounds awesome, can't wait to receive mine :) Apparently it'll be another 1 or 2 weeks! How will I survive?
Got it a couple of days ago, and it's an awesome synth :) Still exploring all the stuff it has to offer :)
Hi. Is it possible to load these patches into a Bank other than D? I have some other third party patches that occupy the D bank...Thanks
Yes i have it also available in Banks A and C
Are all the patches here using stacked osc's? it does sound beefy but halves the polyphony to 8 voices
Most patches are stacked osc yes 8 voices is enough :)
@@alphacodesynth it's a bi-timbral ;)
3:07 sounds like the intro of Billy Idol's Eyes Without A Face.
@7.03 'AC Ponta Pad' ❤. Imagine that layered with the JX8P Soundtrack. 😎
What effects processor are you using?
I did't use any effecta on the demo.
Awesomesauce!!!
Very cool
Not sure which makes this synth model more tempting, the sounds themselves or the aftertouch as you’ve demonstrated it here.
Weeoow mieoooow
nice!

Na ja😢 das ist doch relativ weit vom Original entfernt 😢
mi sembra che suoni "vecchio" rispetto ad un vero OB-XA
