Jamie Thomas Tells Us How To Frontside Crooked Grind!
#Skateboarding #Podcast #Interview SandC - Развлечения
everyone about to have a buttery front crook in their next parts
👍👍
Would like to see some more trick pro-tips going forward.
They should ask every guest for a deep dive skate tip on their best tricks
I agree
I agree it’s very encouraging! 🔥
@@justins9786 yes dude! have Chris pick out a trick and ask the guest
This should be a segment for every pro. "Walk us through the minutiae of your most on-lock trick"
Thing is not everyone realises what they're doing like when you ollie you dont feel your arms swinging everywhere lol
@@urbanumbra6170 lol
Agreed. Extremely valuable insight
I don't think many pros would have the talking skills needed to even do that lol.
@@cheothegeo2742 you’re right. Also, I’ve seen interviews where pro’s even forgot how a battle for a trick went down or even what tricks they did a certain spots. Too many slams and just being that good makes them forgetful lol.
This tip is so good. I’m 31 and just landed my first front crook. Stoked. Cheers JT!!!
Dude, 31 too wish me luck, stoked
This is true. Chris Cole taught me frontslide boardslides in a video years and years ago. Keep your shoulders and arms parallel with the rail. That's it. You're golden.
I've always struggled with this trick and front/back crooks. Now that I have this info I am going to try them next time I skate and see how I do. Thanks for the fs boardslide tip!
@@RatSewagehowd it work
@@user-gz1su4mf9t I still can't quite get them. But that's okay I'll just keep trying. I know I'm capable cuz I have locked in them on accident trying fs nose grinds before.
411vm Fine Tuning: "Learn fakie flips. Learn backside tailslides. Now approach the ledge fakie, do a fakie flip, and land in a backside tailslide. And just -- slide. There you go; fakie flip backside tailslide."
Ride away clean
Cole did a bs 360 trick tip and I still have them. Thanks.
Cole who?
@@weslachman cobra
Oh yea
@@rolandorodriguez6361 Roll what you doing in comments cuz!? ❤
Dude I don’t know why but the way I front cook and front feeble is so different from the pro trick tips. Like, I tried the way Jamie explains it here and it just wouldn’t work for me, but I can do front crooks in my own way. Same with front feebs. People say to stand on your toes on the pocket, and I’m sure that’s what I’m actually doing, but it feels like I’m on my heel like a front 5-0. I just imagine I’m doing a 5-0 then dip it basically. I don’t worry about the pocket.
This video is bout to make everyone start trying fs crooks now lol including me
well front krook has been my favorite grind for years but I have a slightly different set up. I still hang my front foot over the front over the board more than a regular ollie but less than a backside heel, the thing that's really different is my back foot is in the middle of the tail like a regular ollie, you can pop higher into it that way but you have to keep your head over the front foot to keep the pressure on the nose consistent.
So head over the front foot but the body stays back/centred over the board? Like your almost hunching over the grind ?
I can only back crook, this really helped
most trick tips are fuckin unhelpful wastes of time. case in point. how many times have yall heard this? "when you do a frontside flip, what you wanna do is frontside 180 and do a kickflip at the same time. While yur flipping keep it under you and roll away smooth and easy." THX BRO! WOW THAT HELPED SO MUCH! 😑
BRUH, fuck this snow... i gotta go try this now! It makes so much sense!
Fs and bs crooks and overcrooks are some of my favorite grinds
I'm trying to learn backside salad at the moment on some curbs 😊
@@larryjimbob im trying to learn 50-50's LOL. i did my first today on a ledge a little bit bigger than a curb and it was rly fun
So valuable thanks guys!!!!
We need Chris Cole trick tips vol. 1
Stomp sessions. $5 a month
Can we get more of these!!!!
Jt was my hero in jr high I bought all the merch his board I mastered bs 180 and Ollie’s I tried my style to be like his he always had his crooks on point
Almost had kickflip front crooks back in the day. I could front crook pop out and 180 out but never landed a kickflip front crook. Poppin out of front crooks is easy but add that kickflip...I could slide em all day just couldn’t get the pop out.
That trick always felt weird for me
I’m trying this next time I go out!
Instruction unclear, landed on my back on the edge on the ledge 😂😂😂
Lmao jk I been had the pinch 😈🙏🏾🙏🏾
I can't get out normal but only to fakie... this trick is beautiful but so difficult its crazy
Damn I wish I've knew this before
Fs crook came naturally to me. Bs crook is literally impossible for me. If i manage to lock into it I WILL land premo. Otherwise the 90% of other attempts I'll miss the ledge or rail and do a really dumb looking board slide
@James Mcmahon I'm closest when I do it switch but I still get the same problem. Pretty sure my legs are just retarded when it comes to bs crooks
The foot set-up tip Jamie gave will actually help you avoid coming out primo if you apply it opposite for backside. The head tip is solid, too. The reason people pop out of crookeds into primo is their weight distribution is off. They usually don't have enough pressure on the heel side of the board, and their head is usually leaning away from the ledge rather than over it. Those two things guarantee your board isn't coming off the ledge or rail leveled out.
Every pro should explain their favorite/ signature trick
Older era of pros but still good ruclips.net/video/BsKWHwcZYOI/видео.html
back heel position ? Nah JT you're smoking something. Anyone noticed how JT contradicts himself in interviews as time goes on ?
where???
whats the shirt kelly is wearing?
Sounds like snowboarding tips...
Can anyone not injured try this?
i wonder if it be the same with a back crook 🤔🤔🤔
I was thinking that aswell bc i always get into a crooked nose and bc of that it just stalls and i get launched but maybe ill put my foot varial flip position and really try to put my head over my foot and just get one wheel on
Back crook sooo much easier aha
I think imma be able to crook now. Fa reals.
Get Tyson peterson on
fakie 360 tailstall.
doinggggg
wrong jamie
Cole who?
chris cole i think
Im starting to get this trick recently!! It feels ao good to lock and grind one finally man 🤟
I would love for Rodney Mullen to explain how he does kickflip underflip's.
