I am SO impressed with those cabinets! Throughout the video, I keep thinking just how much your sewing experience must have helped you understand construction. Precise measurements, seam allowances, etc.
You should try rev a shelf sink front tip out tray… it is great and easy to install before countertops come in.. love the kitchen and everything you have done so far .Great job!!
So love seeing your progress with each and every room you’ve done!! Really luv when you sing along with the songs you have playing too!! Not boring and a lot of fun added to your interesting builds for your home improvements ….Beautiful!!!! I sure am a BIG fan 🤗
It's looking fabulous, Casey. You should be so proud of the results you've got 👏👏👏💪💪💪 When you think of the roller coaster you've had, to be doing all of this, I'm proud of you so you should be bursting. 💖💖💖
Wow Casey! Your cabinets are beautiful. I’m so impressed. Love the green. I just painted my husband’s bathroom with a similar color. Don’t you love peeling off the tape when you’re finished painting? Love the drawer pulls and the light. It will be so fun to cook in this kitchen. Great job you two😊
Wow! Casey, what you have achieved is so impressive. The kitchen already looks lovely & by the time you have finished, I've no doubt it will be stunning.
You could create a curtain to temporarily put over the under sink opening until your countertops are installed. You could make a matching curtain or just a valance for the window above the sink to match.
Oh my gosh!! Your vision is coming to life in a beautiful way. My husband is an avid woodworker and made new cabinets for our kitchen and bathrooms several years ago. When you first started this project, I told him about your videos and he regularly asks how your project is going. He about fell over when I showed him what you’ve done. He was VERY impressed! I filled the roll of “finishing department” on our cabinets and with every step in this video, I had advice to give, but you already figured it all out on your own. I’m thoroughly impressed! Love, love, love the color you chose for the cabinets and your choice of hardware. Stunning. The light fixture is perfect too. I highly recommend some sort of under cabinet lighting. Not only does it look great, but several light sources are a necessity in a high use space like a kitchen. You go girl! Wow!
Wow, what a nice compliment, thank you (and your husband!)! I have some lighting for under cabinet, too! I actually bought it before I even built the cabinets, lol. So a big yes to under cabinet lighting!
I am in Australia and ordered my cabinet hardware from Cool Knobs and Pulls website. I found them much more affordable at the time than getting any here in Australia. I think postage to Australia now wouldn't be worthwhile but this was 8 years ago when we had our kitchen done. They have a wonderful variety. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking for cabinet hardware. Your kitchen is looking amazing and I love the paint colour along with the hardware you chose.
That's a great green! And the complimentary red in the copper really does look great. I was actually wondering if you were going to do hardwired under cabinet lighting and how hard a process it is to wire in lights. Be interested to see how you end up doing that light above the sink.
Thanks! The lighting for under cabinet that I got can either be plugged in or hard-wired, so I'm debating how I want to do that (of course, I'll share it all here, too! :)
@@PatternScoutHome I put some of those lights from Ikea under mine - it's a rental so they are plug-in. I feel like there is a better way to do it than I did (it was sort of in desperation since I could see nothing in my kitchen in winter), so I'm interested to see how you approach it.
your cabinetry is FANTASTIC!!! you've done a great job. i'm not sure the over the sink light matches though. its a dark cool green whereas you cabinets are a warm green. i could see some type of rustic metal light that matches your pulls (and future sink faucet) being a great addition. highly anticipating the finale (as i'm sure you are).
You completely inspire me! You make the creation of your kitchen cabinets look so easy. I'm in awe. Did you know how to use all those power tools & accessories prior to starting? (And I'm not talking about the easy stuff like a circular sander) 😲
Aw thanks! I hadn't really used power tools that much at all before this...maybe once or twice over the years. Definitely learning a lot about using them lately!
Haha, yes! My hair is super curly...which i have realized since starting this house reno and have less time to dry my hair straight (I always thought it was wavy!)
Hold on…Casey…you’re curly?! I had no idea! 😂 But seriously, the doors look incredible and that colour is so nice…like halfway between olive and celery, so it’s not too dark, not too bright. And great choice on the light and the knobs/pulls! You must be getting so excited! I mean, I am, and I don’t even live there!
Haha, I know, right!? I've been embracing the curls lately (after a lifetime of mostly wearing it straight)! I am getting so excited about all the finishing touches...way more fun than tearing everything down! Finally getting to the pretty parts :)
Lowes carries a line of similar cabinets, but the construction and materials is a bit flimsy. If you need to add a cabinet later somewhere, they might blend in with yours. Yours look better, though. Great job.
Stink bugs are attracted to smells. What hair products, perfume, or makeup do you use? I use 50/50 water and white vinegar to spray in the house. It might help.
I am SO impressed with those cabinets! Throughout the video, I keep thinking just how much your sewing experience must have helped you understand construction. Precise measurements, seam allowances, etc.
Thank you! There is definitely some skill crossover there!
I was thinking the same thing as I watched. Well put.✌️
Compared to sewing, it’s so much easier to rip fabric to be straight on the grain. Your work is lovely. 💙
Love the curly hair!
Me thinks she loves tools. I am so impressed with your skill and careful planning. Leads to success! Fantastic progress.
You should try rev a shelf sink front tip out tray… it is great and easy to install before countertops come in.. love the kitchen and everything you have done so far .Great job!!
Looking so good. I hope you are very proud of yourself! I think a pull switch for the light over the sink would be really handy
Love the tool belt.
I am so impressed with what you did, you're cabinets are beautiful and the hardware looks great....love the paint colour!
Nice work, the cabinets look great!
You can add the same style shaker door trim around the sides of your cabinets to cover up the screw holes.
Excellent job very nice
It's looking beautiful ❤
Fantastic job!
Rather than filling the holes in the ends of the cabinets, you could just add a veneer or even use a thin beadboard to complement the walls.
So love seeing your progress with each and every room you’ve done!! Really luv when you sing along with the songs you have playing too!! Not boring and a lot of fun added to your interesting builds for your home improvements ….Beautiful!!!! I sure am a BIG fan 🤗
Aw thanks!! I've been loving all the projects, nice to be able to finally do these things in our own place!
Heavens! There is no way I would ever attempt what you have been doing! I am sooo impressed! I can’t wait to see your home when it’s all done! 🥰❤️
You're doing such an amazing job! I love each video that you share about this great journey!
Thanks!!
You are so very talented! It’s just beautiful ~ I look so forward to seeing it finished!
The cabinets look great! That color and the pulls are beautiful. 👏👏👏
Thanks so much!
You must be so proud of yourself. Excellent job. Such an achievement. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Beautiful work ❤
Fabulous colour and hardware!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, Alexandra! :)
It's looking really great. You are both amazing...all the little tips for accurate drill holes etc......really fantastic.
Wow, you are amazing Casey, fantastic job, throughly enjoying watching you and Alan make your house a home!💜🇦🇺
It's looking fabulous, Casey. You should be so proud of the results you've got 👏👏👏💪💪💪 When you think of the roller coaster you've had, to be doing all of this, I'm proud of you so you should be bursting. 💖💖💖
So proud of you Casey. Well done!
Your cabinets are looking GREAT! I love the color and hardware you chose 👍👍
Perfect cabinet color choice. Made this room appear very warm. Love the copper pulls, too. Great job by both of you.
So impressive. Well done! 🎉
Wow - so courageous to even start the project but then, so talented in finishing it, I'm AMAZED!!!
Thank you so much!
Love the colour you have gone with!
So love seeing your progress with each and every room you’ve done!! Such fun and interesting to watch your home improvements unfold. Beautiful!!!! 🤗
You and your husband are amazing! I am so enjoying watching your house become your home ❤
Looks amazing, great job you did there! Impressive how you learned, the guts to start and brought this big project to finish!🎉
Great. Kitchen looks very professional. Congratulations
Amazing Casey. Really coming together now. 👏👏👏
Wow, Casey, I am so impressed with what you’ve done. The kitchen already looks great - counter tops will be the icing on top!
I LOVE the paint color!! And wow, the cabinets look so good.
Thank you!
Super impressive! Looking so beautiful!
Wooooooowww! Such a great job on those cabs! For a first-timer you did an excellent job. 😊
The kitchen is coming along great....it is so fun to see you making progress .... it looks like it will be done soon!
Hey! If the vinegar and water doesn’t work on the stink bugs use Dawn and water. I know you have some!! Good luck. I need to mix up some!
Awesome! I love the green you've chosen for the cupboards, and the handles look great too! You're amazing, Casey! Kudos to you!
Looks wonderful. Congratulations 👍🏻👏🏻
The wasps are definitely attracted to your hair products!! The kitchen looks fantastic, you did a great job! 👍👏👏
This looks incredible!!!

Wow! Impressive!
Casey you're amazing! Your brain can conceptualize all these details! I'm seeing why custom cabinets are so crazy expensive!
Your kitchen...I wish it was my kitchen. Great job!
You could create a curtain to temporarily put over the under sink opening until your countertops are installed. You could make a matching curtain or just a valance for the window above the sink to match.
How exciting! I Love anything green so you made a good choice!
Love the green !
looks awesome! you are amazing

Very nice. Things are definitely coming along.
Thanks! Slowly, but surely...
You rock!

Your “workroom” looks like my sewing room right now.😂 the cabinets look so good, what a sense of accomplishment you must have!

Aw thanks! I hadn't really used power tools that much at all before this...maybe once or twice over the years. Definitely learning a lot about using them lately!
I had the same problems with my hinges and alignment. I didn’t make them. They came from the manufacturer like that.
The option of adding an outlet that transmits to the light is super easy and about $60 from Amazon. We are not great with electrical so super easy
❤❤
Wait--Casey has CURLS!!!!! Rock them, girl!! :)
Haha, yes! My hair is super curly...which i have realized since starting this house reno and have less time to dry my hair straight (I always thought it was wavy!)

You are amazing and don't you look cute in your birthday tool belt!😊😊😊
In theory you can glue the plywood since it won't expand or contract
Actually, that's a good point!
Are you still in Michigan?
Rather than filling the holes on the sides of the cabinets, couldn't you just add a thin plywood with glue and brad nails?
I have a roll of veneer sitting in the kitchen as I type this...great minds think alike!! 😄
Stink bugs are attracted to smells. What hair products, perfume, or makeup do you use? I use 50/50 water and white vinegar to spray in the house. It might help.
They are EVERYWHERE right now...it's creepy! I'll have to try that.
