Wow! You are 'nailing' cabinet making. Love that you are changing what you don't like instead of just living with it. Very impressive and wonderful job! Excited to see more.
I sure hope you get some sponsors! You have shown this can be done by a beginner. Patience and total proper planning and research. Try it, ‘cause you can really do this! Wow! So impressed!
We used MDF on our living room built ins, they were perfect, no shrinkage, cracking or warping. Just be safe and always wear a mask when cutting it. I’m so impressed with your skills.
I am in awe of your skills in building your kitchen and have no doubts that it will look stunning when it is finished. I am looking forward to seeing the new colour and of course it is important you and you hubby are happy with your choice, but have to confess I am weeping a little inside to see that gorgeous green go😢 lol. Cannot wait to see what you do with the rest of the house. You should both feel really proud.
gosh @Bemusedbeyondbelief, this woman literally takes puzzle pieces of material, puts them together and makes wonderful clothes!! Then makes the patterns to fit just about any size! I told her when she started on those cabinets they wouldn't be a problem, she already takes shapes puts them together to fit different body shapes, the difference is she would be working with wood, fitting pieces to a somewhat wonky house instead of a body...she would be using nails, screws and glue instead of thread, and zippers etc. The most important thing is she can use a tape measure and knows the importance of proper measuring...and just look at the fit of those cabinets! Did she do the more easy doors that closed on the front of the cabinet, NO she did the real difficult door fit.... inside...any cabinet maker will tell you that type of door fitting costs more.. she could open her own shop...make and design you a dress and kitchen cabinets....what woman could resist????
You are doing such a great job! It is a shame you have to take all the doors down and the hardware off, but I think the two colors could look very nice. I look forward to seeing how it all looks!
Oh, you little tease!! 😂 Can't wait to see the new paint colors in the next videos. I totally agree with the changes. I think it will dramatically dress up your kitchen...sort of your "MO," right?? ❤
🤣 I really wanted to get the painted cabinets in this video, but I was running out of time...spoiler: they look SO MUCH BETTER now. Can't wait to share the new painted cabinets in the next video! :)
Happy New Year! You just amaze me at all the things you have to figure out and all the different equipment you are using. I can't wait till the next video!
Quick tip when driving screws; there’s a dial on the drill with numbers, the lower you set the number the less torque it put out. So in theory it wont go too quickly and split your wood. You set it all the way up to drill holes into wood which requires a lot of power. Hope that helps! Keep up the great work!
So nice to see you in the New Year. Great job on that fridge cabinet. My contractor just installed that in our kitchen today. I was little surprised at how imposing that looked in my kitchen, since I was so used to the space being empty. Fingers crossed I like it more once appliances are delivered. Can’t wait to see how the cabinet colors turn out (even though I did like that first cab color-just reminded me of a vintage kitchen). Thanks for sharing all your hard work.
We used MDF for all our interior window and door trim, it's now 15 years old and looks as good as it did when we installed it. It's so nice and straight, easy to work with! I'm sure you won't regret using it. Your building skills are impressive!
Off topic: I love how the closed captions say “applause” when you run the drill.🤣 Looks like things continue to come together on your kitchen project! 🙌
Happy New Year, Casey! That fridge cabinet looks so nice. Love the colours you've chosen for the upper & lower cabinets...it'll be a job, but it's going to look so beautiful!
This is the first of your videos I have viewed, and I am a new subscriber. I am looking forward to viewing more content on your channel. I think the cabinets look great and am impressed with your cabinet making skills. Although the cabinet “around” the refrigerant only has a full enclosure panel on the right side, I think you should consider at least putting a face frame on the left hand side of the cabinet against the wall to give the illusion that the cabinet actually surrounds the refrigerator. The way it is now, my eye is immediately drawn to the dark gap between the wall and refrigerator instead of seeing the whole kitchen as a cohesive design. Please don’t take my comment as criticism as I think you have done a fantastic job. This is just a new set of eyes. 😊
glad you are back at the kitchen....I noticed the kitchen behind you looks a bit dark, I noticed you don't have the ceiling lights on during filming. Was wondering have you thought about those LED under cabinet lighting strips for task lighting? But it may not be too dark for you when you are cooking, just shows up darker on the video...your cabinets are so professional....excellent work.
I've had undercabinet LED lights since this summer, and I might actually get them installed next week (or the next 😅🙏). So yes, I definitely need the undercabinet lights! :)
omg this is so perfect! I have wanted to make something just like this for my fridge but had no idea where to start. This is giving me so much encouragement and motivation to get it done now!
Pashmina is actually Ben Moore. I have it in one room in my home, one at the cottage, and my sister used it in her house. Looks like a different colour everywhere. I like your choices.
My daughter's deep in the kitchen redo right now.... House built 1880 and Reno'd a few times. 3 different backslashes, and several layers of countertop. An original chimney unforeseen... I was looking forward to your possible funky cabinet between the wall and the fridge....I guess tooooo narrow? Her tuxedo style will be dark blue and white with copper tap and fixture.
That little slide out next to the fridge will be in the next video (it's already built and worked out great!). Your daughter's house sounds like an awesome project!
The doors came together so so well and look amazing. It’s none of my business, but is your husband not interested in helping with the renovation, or do you prefer doing it mostly on your own? Love those paint color choices too by the way!❤❤
We kind of divide and conquer! He has been working on prepping the basement for a big project we'll be working on together after the kitchen is mostly finished. We each have our projects we are excited about and jump in to help the other when needed. I also like doing the cabinets on my own, too, so there's that! haha :)
Wow! You are 'nailing' cabinet making. Love that you are changing what you don't like instead of just living with it. Very impressive and wonderful job! Excited to see more.
From sewing to just building a whole kitchen like its nothing 👍🏾
You are a force to be reckoned with, Casey! So talented and competent. Your kitchen will be absolutely amazing 👏
You are very good at what you do! I can’t wait to see the new colors.
So impressed with your cabinet building!
You’re making me tired as I sit here with my glass of wine watching you do all the work….🤣 The kitchen is looking great!!
You know, if you get tired of RUclips, you can go into custom cabinetry. You have skills!
I sure hope you get some sponsors! You have shown this can be done by a beginner. Patience and total proper planning and research. Try it, ‘cause you can really do this! Wow! So impressed!
I love that you have the proper tools for the job! Especially the clamps.
Can't wait to see the cabinets with the new paint colour....you continue to amaze me with your skiks!
Yay! You’re doing so great! Making wonderful progress! I LOVE the new paint colors! Keep going my friend ❤
Thank you!
@@PatternScoutHome you’re welcome. I am so enjoying all the renovations. I have been there so I do appreciate all the hard work you’re doing

Thank you so much for including that little part about adjusting those hinges - amazing!! 🤩
I am so impressed with your woodworking skills girl!!
Great job. I get overwhelmed thinking about doing this type of stuff
Off topic: I love how the closed captions say “applause” when you run the drill.🤣

😂 🤣 That's hilarious! Alan and I just turned on the CC and sure enough! haha
Kitchen is looking lovely, ❤
❤❤❤❤❤. Looking great.
Happy New Year, Casey! That fridge cabinet looks so nice. Love the colours you've chosen for the upper & lower cabinets...it'll be a job, but it's going to look so beautiful!
Plenty of space for the heat to escape from the fridge? looks great!
Great job!
Happy new year Casey. Great to catch up. 😊
You are so amazing. It is looking fantastic.

Would that interfere with the fridge door opening?

I agree. I love my under cabinet LED 10 inch strips for task light. I couldn’t function without them

Love the new cabinet colors!
I love the new colours you have chosen. Wow you have almost got your kitchen wrapped up. Happy New Year to you as well 💕
They new paint colors look so nice!! Excited to share the finished paint job in the next video! It's really coming together nicely now.
Fabulous job! Just curious why you didn't leave a bit more space around the fridge for air flow and ventilation.
My daughter's deep in the kitchen redo right now.... House built 1880 and Reno'd a few times. 3 different backslashes, and several layers of countertop. An original chimney unforeseen...

@PatternScoutHome ... So far the broom and floor sample are in her space between the wall and fridge... Looking forward to your slide
Happy New Year

Does your drill have a clutch?
❤❤
You’re amazing for teaching yourself cabinetry. Very elegant.
MDF is more stable.
I really enjoyed your video and the new choices for your cupboards. Truly amazing.
