That was probably one of my favorite announcer calls. Kevin Harland asking "Is this the dagger?" and both men going "OHHHHHHHHHHHH!" in unison. Perfectly called one of the most epic moments in basketball history, capturing the emotion: disbelief and frenzied joy of the arena crowd and the viewer watching at home. That "OHHHHH!" didn't matter if you were a Sixers or Raptors fan, or just a plain basketball fan. Words can't describe some moments; just a gutteral yell. SImple call afterwards too... "Game!... Series!... Toronto has won!" and let the crowd noise and the pictures speak for themselves.
Lots of great announcers calling epic Toronto sports moments: Matt Devlin (our PxP guy), Kenny Albert calling the Bautista batflip, his dad Marv called the 2019 ECF where Toronto clinched the East, and Ernie Johnson called the Encarnacion wildcard walk-off. And of course, Toronto's own Dan Schulman was there for the Batflip on ESPN radio. Great voices, and my idols.

This game did so much for the Raptors as it did for the NBA and its fan base. If anyone who didn't understand or enjoy this sport and its competitiveness, physical and mental intensity...show them this series and finale. And to finish with a jump shot with a towering Embid in front of you...9''5" standing reach and he got about a foot off the ground while jumping on a horizontal (-5 inches on standing reach) on that shot block attempt...put a piece of plywood up on that right side of the court 2 feet inside the 3pt line that's 10' high and take that jump shot while your bodies forward momentum is still pulling you sideways. This is the longest 4.2 seconds in NBA history...as well as one of the best buzzer beaters you'll ever see. Kawhi realeased the sky high arch jump shot with .4 seconds left and it bounced four (4) times 🙌 🏀"🏀"🏀"🏀"💥🤯BOOOOOM!!! It took 2.5 seconds AFTER regulation to sink. With Kawhi squatted down hangin with the crowd watching the show....in an NBA Playoff Game 7 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals...no pressure right...lol 4.2 seconds took 6.7 seconds to have the Raptors win 2.5 seconds AFTER the game was out of time. if Kawhi (or LeBron) wins in LA he’d basically be the first all-star in NBA history to ever win in 3 cities so.... that he didn’t do it his first year (when 80% of their scoring was also all new players) hardly takes away from it 😂
