Leroy Tang Matt Bonner(number 15) hadn’t played all game long and was just in the game to hit a three as a final option, also Bonner and rushing into the paint is impossible, he was way too slow. Marco Bellinelli(number 3) was covered by Matt Barnes who is a fantastic defender, especially on the wings, so you shouldn’t play through whomever he was guarding.
The play was quite clever, even more so if you take the circumstances in consideration, the Clippers expect them to shoot a three, probably by Leonard. Leonard was being guarded by a slower and average defender in Griffin, which means that a sudden cut could be effective, I think it would’ve concluded in a better shot than whatever three they could produce, but Matt Barnes is just a great defender and made sure the Clippers would advance.

On that last play, Belinelli should've moved towards the ball as Kawhi started his V cut. Barnes peeped it the first time and wasn't paying any attention to Marco. If Belinelli cuts to the top of the key at the same time, Barnes has to make a decision. Does he follow Marco or help at the rim? If Matt converges at the rim, Diaw has an open pass to Marco for the win.

i’ll never forget this night. this was right before the manny paquio vs floyd mayweather fight and i remember that because i was like 15 and my mom asked me if i wanted to go to this game and i said nah because all my friends were hanging out to watch the fight. we watched this game before the fight and i swear i sat there so sick that i didn’t go witness this amazing game in person just to watch that shit fight😂😂

I know people fixate on his playoff failures, but it's awfully impressive that CP3 was able to make four different franchises title contenders for a bit.

Because Adam Silver ruined it with the divisions.
These two should've never met in the first round in the first place.
Portland won 51 games that season, San Antonio and Memphsis won 55 games. Any other year Spurs and Grizzlies would've been a higher seed than Portland.
But because of the bizarre rile of Division winners automatically given a top-4 seed, that's why Clippers and Spurs faced off in the first round.
      S*** was ridiculous 🤦

This was year clippers should of won the chip. Beat the championship spurs in this tough game 7, also it’s CP3 first time beating the spurs in his playoff career then had the biggest choke the next round against the rockets. A 3-1 lead, horrible. I guess it was not meant to be...

It is clear the Spurs were rob again with that inadvertent buzzer allowing the Clippers defense to see in advance the Spurs set up play. In 2004 the delayed 0.4 second Derek Fisher buzzer beater allowed the Lakers to win. In 2006 the Dirk Nowitzki 3point play with no contact. It should been 8 NBA championships for the Spurs.

Real I think Paul should've conditioned is body better he would've had at least one ring by now maybe. Noticed his injuries in those clippers playoff runs. No doubt about it that man has heart.

This made the fact that they choked vs the Rockets that more confusing. This shoulda been their getting over the hump moment.
