I love this dish omg. Make it supercrunchy with mayo & refried panko & then serve it with seaweed and also fried wonton/lumpia wrapper in the shape of triangle nacho chips. It’s giving 7 layer dip vibes what else would I maybe add like some grated daikon, and then clearly garnishing herbs are always blessed like some perilla and green onion wooah. I feel like this dish is even better than your musubi maker tbh. I thought about saying you could use it as an on the fly tofu press, cookie cutter, but then I thought what if the top of it was an iron that had a brand design on it, and then you could put on the stove and actually brand a little logo on your Spams. That would be kinda awesome 😎
nice"lazy" musubi recipe! what I do for individual sizes is sprinkle sugar, then soy sauce directly onto sliced spam on a plate, rub it in on both sides (do some garlic and or onion powder if you want) then microwave it covered for 1 min. afterwards i cut it up into bite sized pieces, and put it on top of hot rice (fresh or leftover.) you can either sprinkle furikake, or get sheets of nori and eat it it like a sushi bake.
When you get the musubi maker done, I will absolutely have to get it! The can I use is still pretty unweildy, even with tape xD I love the tray idea!! I'll have to make musubi like this next time.

Not enough rice in that musubi. Need the rice to balance put the salt of the spam. Don’t really see spam musubis done with sushi rice. It’s usually plain white short grain rice.

Also try cream cheese. Goes well with the supercrunchy recipes that involve panko. Musubi-bake, just like the sushi-bake. I love this!

You should made sushi rice it's something similar. It's rice vinegar, spam sugar, soyu, fukukaki seasoning, without the nori meaning seaweed.
