i greatly prefer this to the album version. that one was like they took 1 riff and called it this. this is so much more grungy maybe? feels like it has a lot more passion
This is literally the band fucking around in the studio with a riff Dave had. The rest of the band had probably not even heard the song before that session. They were at Laundry Room to demo Hey, Johnny Park!, Monkey Wrench, Wind Up, and New Way Home (as indicated by the asterisks next to those tracks) -- and all those songs are like 90% the same drumming as on TCATS. Imagine hearing a band fucking around with a riff idea the singer had and thinking its justification to kick a drummer out (Will quit btw lol).
Amazing that Dave kept this Demo as an idea for 25 years, waiting for the right record to work it out finally
the song "the neverending sign" is the song called "7 corners" i see it first time when they making theres nothing left to lose
What are you referring to?
lol,
cloudspotter 1996 version
Damn, there’s still a lot of good potential in there, if they could rework the chorus riff they used for Cloudspotter this would still be a dope track
This was definitely with Barrett behind the controls. This has a Late demo feel to it.
The chorus is great, the verses are cool but the new version is perfect
Love that they pulled this one out of the vaults. Sounds huge!
This is WAY better.
Wow this sounds raw and visceral..but definitely needed work for sure
Kinda sounds like a Lit song
probably why they sat on it for so long
It's almost Down in the Park at some points

Now I now why they Dave kicked Goldsmith outta the band.
this was one of those instances where William didnt "get it"
