    I'm both a liker and subscriber from Lake Charles, LA. If you find us on your U.S. map, we're almost to the Gulf of Mexico, so we enjoy a truly subtropical climate. I've had to move my jade indoors a couple of times during our winter to an adjacent room to the patio where it stays 90% of the year. Well, I did it again a few days ago. What? Overwatered the damn thing! It showed me by some of the outer leaf edges turning black. You could touch them and they'd drop. This has happened once before, but it bouced back, so I'm not worried. I guess I've just got to remember that when it comes to watering a jade, EASY DOES IT! Your videos have been a great help. Happy growing! 🪴

    Thank you for your video on leaves dropping from a jade plant! My leaves dropped healthy leaves within a week after a three week dry out watering, profusely within five days after watering they were healthy and not bendable or wrinkled! I am baffled! They are in a large terra-cotta pot maybe 12 inches circumference wide and over 9 inches deep! I check with the rod for dryness before I water! I’ve had the pot for two years and it’s done very well. It’s like this occurred overnight! I haven’t given any fertilizer it’s in a southern window! During that week there was rain in a window 3 feet away but not getting the jade wet but there might’ve been more moisture in the room. I don’t know what else to offer I don’t know what happened and I really don’t wanna lose my Jade! X

    I have a jade plant similar to the one you have. It is dropping leaves. It is in the nursery pot it came with. I guess I will have to change it to a terracotta pot. Its leaves are pretty unbendable. I also think it gets enough light. It is probably due to the soil. I will have to repot it to an airier soil. Thank you so much for this video. I have learned a lot.

    Thanks for the helpful info in your video. I have had my jade plant for many years and it survived under my care. It is tall and skinny and top heavy now, so I have to use sticks to support the branches. The plant is pretty healthy and green, but I have to be extremely careful in handling it. The leaves come off very easily just by touching them. I can understand why they fall off if unhealthy, but what is causing the healthy leaves drop so easily from gentle contact?

The location I've moved it to is under a roof window so it's mostly getting light from above now. It's losing lots of lower leaves now and I'm starting to panic. I repotted my when I got it from store and watered it, then after awhile I noticed that leaves were soft, thin and wrinkled a little and I watered it again (soil was dry). I am able to squish it. After that 2 lower soft leaves fell off and now some more. New leaves are looking good though and not that thin.

    Hi, My Jade Plant has been dropping a *lot* of leaves and even detatched an entire branch. I've had a look at the plant where the leaves and branch fell off, And I don't see any rot or any bugs on it, so I'm confused to what's happening.
    If you want more information, The breaking parts are directly where the nodes are and are perfectly straight across. The leaves that are dropping off seem perfectly healthy- Though, I do have it in my West Window cil, and I am finding that the leaves are having issues staying hydrated during the day. Could it potentially be it having issues with adapting to the high light situation? Or is it something else?

    • @EverythingPlants
      @EverythingPlants  2 года назад +2

      Hey Sandy. It is really tough to give advice without seeing the plant, but you said the leaves are having a tough time staying hydrated...perhaps it is root bound. That would be my guess from your description. Feel free to send a picture to everything_plants_ca on Instagram
