This is like the freshest video dropped on a product that is LITERALLY not reviewed yet on Amazon. Some notes for others looking to buy this. Yes, there are keycaps with the same "crown" ring; however, it does not feature a two-layer appearance of two different plastics, like the G.Skill Keycaps & Pudding Keycaps. I am unsure of the material of the keycaps, as to whether they are made of ABS or PBT. It does appear however that the black ring underneath the border where the RGB lighting shines through though is painted, rather than being an actual black plastic injection - or that it's thinly injected before the clear plastic comes in. Same goes for the top black portion of the keycap. You actually outdone yourself on this. Literally the FIRST video for these new keycaps that just dropped. Props to you man.
the only thing im concerned of is how they perform in the long run, because its ABS plastic and not PBT double-shot so they might lose their grip over time, im a bit hesitant to order them even tho its not that big of an investment for such a great look
The gskill ones look better (in your opinion) but they definitely aren't durable, they're laser ablated so the O will become just a circle after a couple months.

well I just ordered the hyper x ones (plus the ydk bottom row for razer) but if g.skill ever releases a german layout (with the 3 german keys ä ö and ü) and a bottom row that fits razer then I'll probably consider these in the future

and here we are three years later and NO ONE has copied Gskill.. I need 1u home row for a GMMK pro and they dont support that or a 1.75u right shift key. No where can i find any clear floating key caps.
The HyperX ones are wayyy better IMO as I like that diffused look and their font a bit more than this. HyperX also has PBT keycaps which are much higher quality and won't shine over time like ABS. And these transparent sides look cheap IMO and they WILL get scratched up horribly. It's also very easy to see any dust on the inside of the keycaps, on the switch housings and on the keyboard plate.
These g skill caps look better than any I’ve ever seen stop lying to yourself. Only problem is abs and not pbt material. Your little dust theory doesn’t even make sense where is all this dust going to come from?

Its not really about them getting "slippery" Its really a matter of them becoming shiny and losing the matte black look and gathering fingerprints and grease. In a room with low light though I don't think that is an issue, but that's just me.
When I sae this again it moves my mind of buying a new HyperX Keb with Hyper PBT Keycaps but the Gskill change my mind. Why bother buying a pricier translucent only pudding keycaps than the clear same top material.
Guys, anyone here tried this on Keychron k10pro? That's the one with south facing LEDs. I'm already having serious issues finding pudding keycaps that would illuminate key face properly. Tried HyperX and SPC pudding keys but no luck. Face is dark as night because LEDs south facing.
Do they have 60% set? Got a sk61 60% a week ago and it looks & sounds nice but id like to have backlit keycaps. The one i have looks nice without rgb off tho ngl

having watched a ton of keyboard enthusiast videos as I then hear that sound test off that hyperX board... :( you know that feeling where, all your life, you ride economy class on an airplane where then you go on a first class/business class ticket? yeah, this feels like that... like, obviously this is an advertisement to sell the keycaps, of course the video wasn't going to dwell on the sound test... but... man... that's not like my box jades, at least the click... but yeah, I heard good things about the keycaps too... just... man... I'm so... whats the word, spoiled having had lubed stabilizers, even on my durgod taurus board with ... heh... cherry mx browns (apparently this is a weird taboo within that enthusiast community) So, *ahem* putting the critical face on and reviewing your review, if you could have improved on how you speak about the keycaps: this definitely didn't do a good job being a "review", I didn't see the hyperX pudding keycaps for example to compare, this ended up being more of an unboxing (kinda goes against the naming of the title of the video). from the review, I don't know what kind of profile key cap this is, I didn't get much of an explanation why they were bright, you mention it's because the bottom's more clear, but I again don't have anything to visibly compare it to. When you talked about the legends, you mention they're nice, but you don't show the legends when you talk about it (you have b-roll about the legends, but nothing on editing when you talk about it) I think what puts me on edge about this is more the advertising of the video where, I dunno, I'd like to be told the overall typing experience of the keycaps like, what profile, does it shine after a period of use, you have the charisma to *advertise* the product you're showing, but you aren't *reviewing* the product, this is just an unboxing with a *review* adjacent title. We don't get to see the hyperX pudding keycaps being used on the same board to show the differences, we don't get a typing test with the hyperX pudding keycaps to form any type of opinion *we have to go somewhere else to find that information* Make your channel the *last* place we need to be to get deep information about the products you want to show us, not advertise the product. You can advertise (not go too deep so you can look good for future sponsorships) product, yeah, but you have to show an expertise in how you test/show-off something for people to take you seriously to want to watch your content. Just an observation from a 20-something who just wanted to know if... these G.Skill Crystal Crown Keycaps are indeed, as you said, better than the HyperX Puddings... but... I didn't see any HyperX Puddings to form any conclusion. and will have to go somewhere else for that info. Hey CTR, I just ordered the Red Dragon K530 which has the brown outemu switches on it and I was wondering if either hyper x pudding keycaps or g skill crystal keycaps would fit on my keyboard because I don’t know if the stim on my switches will match the fit for the keycap also do you know if I can swap out my outemu brown switches for cherry mx blue swiches? Or if I switched would it have to be a blue outemu switch?... please let me know if you have any answers. Thanks!

@@skuchi9 it depends on what you think would look better. If you want to have as much rgb as possible, go for the g-skill. Otherwise you should go with pudding keycaps. I must mention that although the hyperx keycaps are great and all, there are much cheaper pudding keycaps that are doubleshot pbt and have a reallly nice font. For example, the HK gaming pudding keycaps which allows you to pick from a variety of colours.

I prefer G Skill for the aesthetics but HyperX for the premium quality due to PBT material. And HyperX keycaps are even cheaper.

They are, as long as the switches stem are Cherry MX cross style then it will fit any keycaps set you can find on the market :D.
