Price is Right --- How NOT to play 10 Chances

- From a late 2006 episode of the Price is Right comes the long running pricing game "Ten Chances". The game where you have three items you have to price using scrambled numbers and only ten chances in total to get all three right.
Here we have a perfect example of how NOT to play this game. I was literaly yelling at the TV when I was watching this. Watch how many things she does wrong and how Bob almost walks off the set and how loud the crowd was getting by the horrible play the contestent is doing here.
See for yourself why this was so hard to watch.
Ironicly she did go to the showcase at the end but wound up passing the showcase with the car and ended up with a showcase of Golf clubs, furniture and a golf cart. She lost that too. Just not her day I guess...
6:06. “You used the ‘1’ twice, Joy... uh, Rita!”
At the end, you could tell Bob had had enough of her! His blood pressure was sky-high. 😂😂
I have that clip with him and Joy.....who ironically was NOT living up to her name playing that game with Bob!
Its not an easy game though!
Bob: "You can't use the 1 twice!"
Joy: Proceeds to do so four times
But at least Joy won! LOL
@@cajayson8301 and Bob had to sit for a while.
For another contestant's dismal playing Drew also said her (guess what, it was another her) it's one of the toughest games of TPiR. Would I play that I will probably see falling that alongside Dice Game (because I don't think I would have the luck to get other 1 or 6).
The number of subtle hints bob was giving her was astounding.
Bob is such a pro: "... Goodbye Rita... Goodbye." Nothing else to be said.
It is virtually impossible to lose this game. All prizes end in zero, the first prize is usually the more expensive price (3, 2 and 0 is usually 30 and not 20) and the second prize usually begins with the “middle” number (if the numbers are 5, 7, and 9, pick the 7 and do either 750 or 790). Knowing that, there are only so many combinations you can do in ten chances. For the car, it usually begins with the 1 or 2 and ends in zero. It is just a matter of scrambling the inner three numbers.
My favorite moment ever from the show! RIP Bob ❤❤
“Joy...I mean Rita, you’ve used the one twice!”
$68,000? Bob's reaction is PRICELESS.
Did she think they were still 4 digits?
It didn't seem TOO bad until the last one... Bob was PRICEless. "Do you think that car is worth 68 thousand dollars?!?!"
RIP Bob Barker
Original air date: June 16, 2006
This reminded me of Joy
i donno who's worse her or Joy?
I would say Joy was worse, this lady didnt know her prices but Joy couldn't follow directions & kept making the same mistake over and over again.
You've used the one twice Joy.
Rita....goodbye
6:43 He definitely was thinking, "Rita, get the fuck off my stage"
*YOU’VE USED THE ONE TWICE JOY!*
I fail to comprehend how someone could not write 750. Then the 68 thousand dollar Chevy Malibu was just sad.
It's amazing that to this day contestants on TPIR doesn't know that prices in this game end with 0. Just shows that people don't pay attention.
Must pay to be a loyal friend and true
@Bourg Productions The zero rules mean that the number zero will always been at digit place
In case zero not there, number 5 and 9 will replace it at digit place
Put 0 always in digit place
seriously, if contestents dont know ALL the games, including 10 chances, then they shouldnt even bother becoming a contestent for TPIR at all. they should seriously stay home and watch this show until you get how to play every single game.
also, whatever you do, unless your relatives or friends in the audience are experts in knowing the prices of the merchandise and/or understanding TPIR, NEVER solely trust them. ALWAYS consult the audience in this situation.
thats what i would always do.
I've seen several videos where the crowd is chanting something like "3 7 5! 3 7 5!" Then the contestant writes it & the crowd cheers. Somehow the masses can't comprehend the ZERO rule, or they just decide to show up, even though they haven't seen the show. It's frustrating.
The show needs those kind of people...or else they'll go broke!
6:36 6:38 double buzzer sound 😆😅🤣 game over
I've never spent 30 for a dvd, even a Disney DVD.
lol. who was that person on the stage with the white shirt? at the brown poduim with the person with the hand out pointing in ritas direction was the announcer who is in his 4th season on tpr is rich fields lol.
no wonder bobs retiring.
Players bid $1 if they suspect everyone else has bid too much. The winner is whoever bids the closest to the real price without going over.
The only games I have not seen on the Price is Right are the ones that were on before I was born, and the one that premiered on October 9th due to my being at work then.
the guy annoncing is rich fields. he started in 2004 and now working on his 4th season with the price is right. I am hoping he becomes the new host.
I like Dumbo and all, but that’s a terrible prize.
This.Was.Painful.
Do you happen to have Monday's 4 chance win? Wow, just about the best playing ever of the game occurred on 6/26(this show was supposed to be 6/12 but got bumped because of the New Orleans show that took that slot). If anybody saw Monday's show, you know exactly how great it was! Please post if you have, so those who didn't see it will enjoy it!
This is a tough game, especially if you use up almost all your chances on the first two items.
I love all these people claiming its so easy. Dont see them doing it though
@@PRHILL9696 There are some unwritten rules with this game. The last number is a zero unless there is no zero then it's a five. She would have saved some chances if she knew.
Stop saying Bob is dead! That is wrong, and I have no idea why you say something as inappropriate as that. How would you feel if every member of RUclips said YOU were dead?
I like how they did the buzz to reveal the price
Dumbo DVD is a weird prize.
Dumbo DVD was an appropriate prize for her
There's always been a "time limit" on Ten Chances. It's just never enforced.
It’s enforced, the time limit stops when the contestant starts writing
lol. I love that theme song on the prize. every time I hear it its so peaceful and relaxing lol.
And if I recall correctly, that Joy lady won on her playing.
Haha. Bob Barker is walking off the stage and even goes "What!? You think it's $68,000 for the car?"
rofl. I thought this would be lame but it was worth watching it seeing Bob's reaction.
Maybe, 10 Chances could be played for a Porsche or BMW.
"Do you think that car is 68 thousand dollars???!!!" Poor Bob. It's a wonder he never suffered a stroke from all the dingbat contestants, not to mention all the bullshit with the false sexual harassment allegations and law suits. He's still alive as of 2019, I believe.
Don't forget getting chased by excited samoans 😆
He’s still alive as of 2022 as well😄
@@LisaNix2, still kicking in 2023. He must be immortal.
Bob Barker often tried to help the clueless contestants like Rita when they were way out in left field. That's more than they deserve. He should have just kept quiet and let them blow it. Zero is always the last digit in this game, but it's amazing how many suckers don't realise that. That unwritten rule also applies to the Safe Crackers game.
I work for Enterprise and rented that car in 2006. It was the called Chevrolet Classic.
Someone said her last guess looked like a Picasso. Lol
5:38
Bob: When can I retire?
6:30 "Picasso!"

Bonus shock buzzer, actual price 17680.
Bob was so annoyed with her he just said goodbye apathetically.
This was a really easy one too. If you have 6 chances at the car (and you should since there are only 2 valid choices for the first 2 prizes) and you know the car begins with 1 and ends with 0, then you are gaurenteed to win because there are only 6 possible solutions. This lady obviously never learned factorials.
$30 for a DVD? Where do they shop? That's a rip off, try $10-$23.
Beginning converted using Potatomotion... ;)
This exact same car was used on another game of ten chances...look up Brendon on the Price Is Right...he was really close to getting it.
Who knows, maybe she thinks that was a Malibu convertible. (If that car were $68K, you'd find it in either Golden Road or 3 Strikes, as those are the only games played for $30K+ Cars)
And this was after the Joy incident. Go figure.
After?! Wow!
Again, it always ends in 0!!!
There are no 705s.
Always 0! NEVER has a prize ever ended with anything other than 0 in this game.
That's incorrect, the old episodes from the 70's and 80's often had prizes not ending on zero on any of the three prizes at some point.
I love how that guy says "A NEW CAAAAAARRR!!!"
Yeah I can see that, but why can't those contestants on "The Price is Right" learn to use the ZERO as the last number on each of the three items including the new car during "Ten Chances" game??
damn, back when DVDs we're $30!
And Bob is still alive. How many times do we gotta tell you that he is NOT dead?
He’s also still alive in 2022 😄
@@LisaNix2 And in 2023.
Right you are Sarah!! That's a Given. Bob Barker was so right on how the game is alot harder if you don't understand it.
The most frustrating game EVER! People make it harder than it really is. If you pay attention to this game, EVERY prize ALWAYS ends with 0! There has NEVER been an exception. I want to throw things at the TV set when people put anything but 0 as the last digit.
The first prize can end with a 5, I think, but yeah, the car price probably was never not a multiple of 10.
Yes indeed, "10 Chances" is still the frustrating game.ever. The game was based on a school activity where kids would do the math, or unscrambled the numbers, just like in a scrambled world game called "Jumble".
all that stupidity isnt good for Bob Barker at his age
Blonde must not be her natural hair color.. That bleach does have side effects...
I don't even understand what the hell is happening. Okay, the last part is obvious. But how was everyone so positive she was f!cking up earlier?
I had that beat in 4 tries, wtf is this woman doing
It seems like the worst players do 10 Chances on TPIR....both with Bob and Drew hosting
Jesus everything pales in comparison to thinking the car is almost 70,000
lol go see "One of the worst price is right ever", by Lakertime. that bitch is wayy worst
that was funny as hell too!
After the 3rd chance she starts screwing up. Every prize in 10 chances will always end in a zero 0 and not like 705 or 509 when she started screwing up. You feel so awful when they start doing that. If they knew the last number on each prize was a zero they could be doing pretty well.
Well, in daytime, $68K would be dumb unless you're playing 3 Strikes or Golden Road.
But it logically makes sense in primetime no matter which car game is played (in primetime all the prizes are way up in value).
John Lee not even 3 strikes for daytime, well, very very rare, like if they're doing something special, then that might be a case, golden road, of course, that's a proven fact, the prizes on that game are always high-priced, but the only time you'll see a car or prize $40000 and up would be a primetime show.
I never knew Kristin Chenowith was a contestant on the Price Is Right.
It's not a mercedez rita! I can't believe she passed the showcase with the CAR in it.. geezzzzz
all prices end with 0 so its easy not difficult.. especially the car, first number is obviously a one
Joy wasn't as bad, it was more that she won it at the end. This lady was clueless the whole way through
ruclips.net/video/sqk1-q8gXcY/видео.html
There was MUCH worse 10 chances playing
Ten Chances is one of the easiest games that contestants can play in the Price is Right. It is as simple as that. The prizes would end in zero. That is the strategy of the game. Bob Barker was right to see that it is a tough game if one does not understand the rules.
Sad. Just sad.
that was so funny when bob kept pressing that button only to be rewarded with "ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"
OMG! For a min. their I thought she was going to win.
68 Thousand dollars for a car? Boy, this is a bad contestant!
She did write some of her guess's that ended in zero..???
I'm sure even Drew wouldn't have let that happen on the very last chance.
Memo to anyone who wants to try out for the show: don't. Just don't. You never know which game you're gonna have to play.
temptation1979ga1 has that clip up there now.
Haha, you know when he said "Rita, goodbye" he just wanted to drop-kick her in the face.
haha wow.
i like how bob
just walks away.
Bob Barker walking away = owned.
yea thats a dvd player not a dvd
You think that as much time women spend out there spending money they would know the prices of this stuff already
"Rita... good-bye. Good-bye."
nice video its 10 chances to win not lose. she did not know how to play if I was her I would be fuming. maybe run over to rich to ask him how he is doing. at the start the person all of you saw was rich . thanks for posting.
Rita, I have a car I’d like to sell you 😂
why would someone guess 68710 for that car?! some corvettes cost less than that
Love this game. 2nd prize is never 572 orc752. Its always 750 or 850 or 920 .
-What an awful prize.. ho wait! there is a car!-
Amazingly, yes.
I have zero tolerance for those who don't understand the zero rule for this game 😂 clearly, Bob also was over it 😂
who's that disappearing behind the doors at 5:45?
i got all three right in 3 chances.
At least she isn't as bad as that Joy Herrera broad; now that was just stupid! It's contestants like that that probably drove Bob to retirement. As for Rita, that $68,000 bid tripped me out. This isn't a nighttime special, baby, this is the daytime show!
IT HURTS!!
Good lawdy! Look at that spread on Rita
