Yeah, but that’s not really an “El Skunko” in my opinion. Sure, $22,000 on Plinko isn’t the maximum of $50,000, so we can’t count it as a “win”, but I also don’t see winning $22,000 as a “loss” either.
One of the 5 el skunkos in the 51 years of TPIR on CBS. Sure, there have been 0 pricing games won and then someone won on Showcase. But May 14, 1985 was the first one of 0 pricing games won (Most Expensive, On The Nose, Cliff Hangers, One Right Price, Money Game, Grand Game) and the double Showcase overbid on the same episode. A not-so-great episode in TPIR history.
Which was not said until after the Mark Goodson card, CBS Television City taping credit, TPIR title and copyright scrolled up; usually, that was said before those things were shown (by Olson, Roddy and Fields, and all the subs).
Bob: She went over by 25 dollars! Can you believe this show? We didn't had a single game won, then we wind it up with a double overbid? This is been a catastrophic day on the Price is right.
Picking up the pieces... One-bid prizes: $5,674. Dunno if Cliffhanger gives those small prizes away; but it's $59 total with no socket set. Cash given: $1,353 from one perfect bid, money game, grand game, and wheel.

Since I see 4 darts on the board, the contestant who played On The Nose presumably won the $1,000 bonus? Cliffhangers, it looks like the contestant must have won the first 2 small prizes. Money Game, it’s impossible to win nothing, and she got $153 out of it. Grand Game had $100 won. So not like this show was a complete washout! Anyone know if there were any perfect bids or $1.00 spinners on this episode?
From other comments, there was a contestant who got the dollar on the big wheel. But the cliffhanger items don't really count as something won. At least, I've never seen Bob say that they'd won one of the items when playing Cliffhangers.

Rest in Peace Bob Barker!
2:14 She actually didn't have a bad theory on Money Game. I remember in the 5 digit era of that game there was an "05" on the board.
A winless show ended in a DOB, featuring a heartbreaking WSD by $25.
From Pluto TV's _The Price is Right: The Barker Era_ 😂
Six losses and a double overbid like Bob said, “a catastrophic day!”
This sh** sucks!
If Wendy bid $1, she would’ve saved the day.

And don’t get me started with that $1,000 win in the Showcase Showdown. It’s chump change. A grand’ll maybe buy a new flatscreen TV nowadays.
Maybe unless you count half-hour shows like April 3, 1973.

For a grand total of… $7,027 ($7,086, if you add the prizes from Cliffhangers) worth of cash and prizes.
If Marjorie had went for the front and back trick, she would have really saved the day.
If Theodore had estimated between $29-$59 for a socket set he would've really saved the day
How did you get these from TV onto RUclips?
There’s no “spay and neuter” message at the end?
