I always listen with delight to M.Ravel's Miroirs performance by wonderful Bruce Liu. From the book by I. Martynov "Maurice Ravel": "Chopin and Ravel ... The aesthetic principles of two composers - Polish and French: both of them strove for the utmost clarity of presentation of thought, were intolerant of any manifestation of amateurism. The completeness of the form, the thoroughness of finishing details - everything attracted Ravel in the works of Chopin. Both composers make related by the impeccability of stylistic taste and sense of proportion..."I guess thats ideas have a magnificenct embodiment at performance Master Bruce!!! Bravo! Thanks!

Assez décevant : il ne s’agit plus de Rachmaninov, et on a l’impression d’une pièce décousue, avec des parties qui tiennent peu. Pas d’unité. Et il faut impérativement trouver une mesure, gouverner cette partition éblouissante et difficile. Il ne est peut-être trop tôt pour ce jeune virtuose, qui ne semble pas vraiment comprendre l’esthétique française.
