  • Taping police conduct has become the key to holding officers to account- but in France, there’s a new law that could make that public accountability illegal.

Article 24 is not the worst, the others are worse. What article 24 says is that it is forbidden to film a police officer with the aim of causing harm. The term "harm" is far too imprecise. It means that I can film but I cannot post it on social networks, only to support a trial against police violence for example.

France is aware of its history and what its population is willing to do. The politicians know the only thing between them and the people is the police, so they give them whatever they want. It's really that simple.

@@williamdeschamps5804 I think what he means is with article 24 it's illegal to post it on social networks NO MATTER WHAT the content is. It can only be used in court. For example if you filmed some excessive force or police brutality the only way you can use the footage is to file a lawsuit against the police department and use that footage in court, which is impossible to do for 99.99% of people, which means the police can basically beat the hell out of whomever they want in broad daylight.

Here in America, we have free-speech, and the socialist and communist hate it, but only when it applies to conservatives not having free speech. They are a big, fat babies and offended by everything but they are so mean.!!! Gosh, there than in his group of people in the most violent.
In America different immigrants stick to themselves but overtime they will integrate with society but we’ve had so much mass migration since we’ve had the weakest president in office for 2 1/2 years so I don’t know what it’s gonna be like. Joe, Biden, and the Democrats and Socialist have been allowing free-flowing immigration to come into America because they basically want cheap pseudo slave labor.!!! I apologize if that sounds rude, but I’m an American Christian and I am so against slavery and I think it is the most evil institution and I don’t care if it’s hard working conditions or paying people crappy wages. No!! that’s not fair and even if people are unskilled, they still deserve to meet minimum wage!!
My gosh, we have people in America now making twice as much as minimum wage, but Joe Biden’s inflation and the cost-of-living has gone up so much and business owners are greedy and increase the rent 35 to 50% and it’s hard for people earning more in impossible for them to pay the damn bills . Joe Biden’s gotta go!!
Donald Trump was pretty blunt but he was not a warmonger at all and he was not about to allow immigrants to come across the border because he knew what would happen, and that is many of them would be captured and taken into sex trafficking, and others would get jobs and have employers, paying them crappy wages.

My great grandma wasn’t snobby because she was born in America to French immigrants but their culture in France is a bit too proud and Haughty for some. Don’t let the media influence you much on the USA because the media is very very misleading and most of the time propaganda! I’m an American, and the crime rate is out of control, because the communist and socialist have taken over and they don’t even charge bail and people murder people and get back out of jail and go out and do it all over again. I live in southern Virginia and it’s getting worse here and it used to just occur up north end Boston, New York, Chicago and out west in California and Baltimore in Maryland but it’s moving south. Please using excessive force and brutality was worse in the 1950s through the 1970s.!!! Bad!! I was a little kid in 1972 and I remember seeing stuff go on and police officers were shooting protesters for protesting in DC over the Vietnam war. That would’ve never happened in the 1980s or today. Besides most Americans, think President Macron is a piece of crap. since Russia invaded Ukraine, the U.S. & UK And NATO have been helping to arm Ukraine, even though they’re not gonna win this war.
I’m not being negative. I’m just saying the truth and that’s because we are not NATO allies and we cannot defend them .
I’m not sure why Putin invaded but it’s evil that a communist country cares nothing about killing innocent people and it’s the same in communist China ! China is WORSE!!
Macron goes over to China for three days and he’s talking to the dictator over there telling him that all of Europe doesn’t have to do with the USA is doing. The only thing the USA and the UK are doing is fulfilling a promise that Russia broke. When Ukraine gave up all of their nuclear weapons, the United States and the United Kingdom promised to help protect them, but not to defend them, and Russia, promise not to invade. Russia broke that promise, and their bombing schools in malls & people’s apartment buildings.. so sad!!

@@Jxrd99 Very minor changes. In the first weeks of the protests Macron took a step back by renouncing to the gas tax increase and some minor welfare aid (on dec 6 2018), and announcing the "Grand Débat" (great debate), i.e. he was supposed to collect the griefs of the french people and then act on it (as of today he did not, so it was just an empty promise). The protests continued however, so he changed strategy and just relied on a repressive method by giving carte blanche to the police (beating people up, shooting in the head with rubber bullet with no particular repercussion, using literal TNT on protestors [GLI-F4] on a widespread level), so people were afraid to go protest (at least 25 people lost an eye, 5 people lost a hand, countless of others were badly injured). In the meantime medias portrayed the yellow jackets as just people breaking stuff for fun and not having any political thought or even being able to. So eventualy the movement died out bit by bit, and COVID put an end to it because protests pretty much stopped in France. A lot of different stuff happened in the meantime, sorry I can just explain so much in a youtube comment, but that's basicaly the big picture. But things did not get better, and ever since Macron gave so much power to the police, they got used to it, and so yeah, you see through the video that it's just getting worse.
