WHO EDITED THIS AND WHY DIDNT YOU INCLUDE THE SHOT OF ME JUMPING OFF THE RAMP INTO CARLOS' ARMS TO MAKE SURE HE'D ACTUALLY CATCH ME?!?! IT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT CLIP OF THE DAY. IM LIVID.
My one regret, is that I've been watching videos in order of new to old, and now I realise that I will never see Jenise fall into Carlos' arms ever again 😭😭😭😭
Carlos I'm 40 years old I used to skate for 6 years when I watch you skate it makes me want to skate again so much and Props for the teaching. Respect homie!!
I remember 2 years ago that i was watching braille every day and i wanted to start skating sooo bad❤️the last summer like this days i bought my first board and it's been a year now ❤️you guys made me start skating ❤️😊
I'm a teacher myself, and I just can't help but say: The way I see all of these guys teach and encourage and inspire, not just Jenise, but soooo many people to both learn and love to skate is nothing short of phenomenal. I absolutely LOVED watching how Carlos was so patient and encouraging with her. Not only that but he was so truly masterful in his craft of skateboarding that it inspired so much trust in him (rightfully so). Thank you to all who work for/with Braille. I love your videos and your passion 110%. You make me want to try to learn skateboarding again (eventually). Cheers to you gents. PS - From all the videos I've watched of Carlos Lastra, he is truly a top notch human being.
Carlos, you’re an awesome teacher. You guys need to make this a series because his live teaching is inspiring to watch and it’s always good to see someone learn and grow that confidence
This chick has been a RAD addition to the show guys. Carlos could easily land a gig as a Woodward supervising counselor if he wanted to. He's fuckin great at explaining things calmly and precisely.
I feel like Carlos could easily teach anybody anything. Listening to him explain the mechanics of skateboarding step by step that most skaters must do unconsciously every day is amazing.
Man wish i had my own Carlos 20 years ago to teach me! Best teacher/coach ever! So calm and great at explaining things in a practical way that makes sense nice one👍
Carlos is amazing, it’s one thing to be able to do something well and a total other thing to be able to break it all down and teach someone else. Always floored by Carlos’ awesomeness 🙌🏽
While this was not Carlos’ most considered teaching I’ve seen before, it is always intriguing to see him at work as an instructor. Super yay also for bringing in Janice to represent for women and girls who skate! Thanks Braille for listening to suggestions, making more teaching vids and having more girls skating at Braille 💙💙💙
Carlos is a rare teacher. Hes one of those teachers that don't give the new person anxiety. He doesn't seem to rush people, and i think thats where a lot of anxiety comes from as a new skater, is that anxiety of being there failing at the same thing 100 times in front of someone that can do this no problem.
I literally needed this advice today(axle stall and such) I am old AF and starting to skate again. I've always had a board and followed skating I was just badly injured and it's been awhile. I used to be able to get it. And I'm trying like hell this summer to get back. Carlos explains in a very easily understood patience. If I could go to Braille and get touch up/come back lessons I totally would!
I love this channel. It has made me wanna skate again but I lack the funds for a new board atm. I remember when I first landed a heelflip i get that same excitement from watching this channel.
Carlos is a great teacher! +1 advice for this trick: - When doing the axle stall drop, pushing the back truck to the transition (the back wheel in the platform touching the coping from the inside), helps to avoid a hang up
yeah Carlos deserves so much respect for this video! you know that he is treating each of his students just the same and im sure they are learning just as quick! much love Carlos Lastra!
I didn’t love Jenise’s attitude, but respect for doing the trick even though it was scary! Carlos is incredible, I’ve gotta say I’m totally obsessing over him lately. Good job to both Jenise and Carlos! (and Gabe of course 😜) I think it’s great that safety came first.
I used to be an inline rollerskater when i was a kid and I really was into that with my crew of dear friends, now I'm 35, i work as a special need teacher and i would enjoy so much some lessons with Mr. Carlos Lastra.... too bad I live in Italy. Only Love for you guys!
Jenise is looking beast! It's impressive how amazing and athletic she looks after having such a serious surgery. I admire her hard work and dedication.
CArlos is actually insane at teaching. When she points out that she was reaching for his hand and that made her do the trick. Whether he did that on purpose or not its awesome to see his lessons being put the work.
I took a couple of days squaring up this bank at my local skate park ( had a bad slam straight on my hip last try, different spot) but finally worked up the courage to hit it today, dropped in succesfully a few times. It's a great feeling to conquer that bit of fear and do it properly. Started on a few shorter inclines and halfway first. One day i will attempt a mini ramp haha
this was really comforting as i’m learning to skate and i’m so afraid of any that isn’t flat ground lol. i wish i had someone like carlos to teach me :’)
Dude I don’t even know how to Ollie properly and after watching Carlos explain this I feel like I can already master it. I said it before an Ill say it again, HE IS A TEACHING LEGEND
Carlos is amazing , i love the whole Braille Squad but Carlos is my favorite . I actually got choked up and teared up when he left, of course it warmed my heart when he said " its not goodbye , its more like I'll see you later " .
I learned a lot from Carlos' words of wisdom. Especially on this vid. Now I'll take the fear and treat it like a roller coaster. Thanks man! God bless you.❤ Waking up in 3am is worth it. Haha time zone problems. 😂
Really great video and all respect to Carlos. However i feel like a major recommendation step is to move the backfoot truck outwards on the coping, so that the kingpin is already in front of the coping. Making the chance for hangup much smaller.
I need Carlos and Aaron as personal trainers. Legit like, feel like moving over there and paying them directly for lessons XD their style of teaching is so perfect for me. Encouraging and always there for safety but still giving enough space to not allow them to be used as a crutch.
Carlos is a great trainer! We need more skaters like him out there. There's always jerks who refuse to give tips to other guys and girls out there. It's just a hater being a jerk. Keep on rolling!
WHO EDITED THIS AND WHY DIDNT YOU INCLUDE THE SHOT OF ME JUMPING OFF THE RAMP INTO CARLOS' ARMS TO MAKE SURE HE'D ACTUALLY CATCH ME?!?! IT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT CLIP OF THE DAY. IM LIVID.
Jenise Spiteri the boy Carlos getting play
Im upset that this comment isnt more noticed yet.😤
YOU: OMG. I ALMOST DIED!!!
CARLOS: NOPE, YOU DIDNT!
LOL
My one regret, is that I've been watching videos in order of new to old, and now I realise that I will never see Jenise fall into Carlos' arms ever again 😭😭😭😭
you're awesome! Ha Ha, love this video. I am not good at ramp trick. but this video inspires me a lot.
Carlos is so patient and descriptive. He’s an excellent teacher I wish we could see more stuff like this
Let’s just take a moment to notice how good and nice of a teacher Carlos is...🥵🥵
2:12
Facts. If I lived around braille I'd go for lessons with him.
true but he makes its so complicated at the same time
For realllllll
2:13
You guys should do a consistent series where Carlos teaches someone how to skate.
Not a bad idea at all!
yes pleasee
Great idea. I hope they see your comment.
Yeah dude Carlos is a great teacher. Puts confidence in you while teaching. Super rad.
great idea
Carlos, you're very articulate, passionate and encourage a heartfelt bravery.
Much respect brother man!
I can listen Carlos talk about Skateboard safety all day. Someone lend me 300 - 350$ for skate camp. \o/ wooo!
I could say a lot of things about this video but I'll keep it to the first and foremost :
CARLOS YOU ARE THE MOST AMAZING TEACHER
3:17 carlos is straight up making me cry being all inspirational, then she just says “thanks buddy” 😭
tomas sendra F
So sweet we need more Carlos in this world
It's videos like this that really help people understand that anyone can skate new old and in between keep up the good no great work
"I know how to bail out"
- Carlos Lastra, 2019
Carlos Lastra sliding into those DM's like:
"Pull out"
16:03 Carlos : 'I can always jump forwards to catch you.'
16:08 *Carlos jumps backwards*
I came to say the exact same thing hahaha
😂😂😂
Fucking brilliant 😂 didn’t even notice it the first time
Oof
😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂
Carlos looks like an amazing skateboard teacher and encouraging coach!
NukaCloud can’t wait to sit on Carlos
SoundRex fixed it 😂

Today I felt in love with Carlos even more than before 😄❤ he is such a great skate teacher.! Great job Carlos.
I love listening to Carlos giving skate lessons! Really helps this old guy trying to learn how to skate.
Jenise: That was scary....
Nigel: Well. Do it again..
Lol I was going to comment this but you did it 😂🤣

I love these types of videos. It's really helpful watching someone learn instead of just having a pro showing you
Dude this community is soooo chill! Really love it :D
Carlos you're a good instructor, good job!
ive always wanted to learn to snowboard but then i realized that skateboarding was my thing. This channel has helped me a lot to improve on skating.
