- New parts and some repairs for the former taxi. This is a Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 E220 9G Tronic estate model. I removing the adhesive from the old taxi decals. Later this summer I aslo going to make a polishing on the paint and front headlamps is really in need for it.
Also changing the steering wheel to the same type, but with much less kilometers. The mirror covers was totally blasted so I changed them out with used ones in great shape. And at the same time I installed sequential turn signals I think it looks great with them.

If you install aftermarket turn signals or any new turn singnals, the tape is really important. I added it later after I heard the middle part of the mirror cover rattling while I played music a bit louder and I must say it sounds really annoying from the outside.
You can place it afterwards without disassembling the mirror but you risk breaking the plastic if you bend it too much, so it would be safer taking it off again.
Don't forget this small detail!

As a taxi driver i can say this car is actually quite good. You should see old Skoda's in eastern europe with god knows how much km 😂

How it has 9g-tronic gearbox on it ? did they do this one of the times they changed the transmission? is this possible in every engine options?
Late 212 had 9G as a option not sure but it may have been 2015 up! 9G could not be bought together with 4-matic.
Does your car have side mirrors puddle light I am going to update mine with led.. hope it’s easy to do
No, this model is so basic is crazy. Pretty much no option. It should not be any problem to change it 🤛
I just got a S212 like 3 months ago at 68k miles. I guess it will last if I’ll maintain it….just like anything else
I maintain mine 100%. It's not cheap but I like it. I'm starting to do more myself now. That lowers the maintenance cost 75 to 80%.

Bonjour en me couchant sous la porte et en ayant enlever le cache plastique rouge de bas de porte je me rend compte que je n'est ni cables ,ni porte empoule en gros un vulgaire cache rouge en plastique factice ,savez vous comment cabler ce porte lampe car j'aimerais mettre des portes lampes mercedes éclairage bas de porte

Jokes on you, i just got a W211 with 820 000km from 2008, seller told me "boss it has 140 000km" indeed engine has that milage but the car doesnt, heh i got it for 3000eur so i cant complain much, good first car. Next goal W212 restyling

BEWARE OF THIS MODEL my 2011 E class has 133,000 miles on its clock and the rear sub frame has corroded through from the inside ( you cannot see the problem ) allowing a support arm to detached, upon braking the cars back end swings round to the right , its a COMMON fault on both this model and the C CLASS, i have no idea if the S class has a similar problem, Mercedes are closing their eyes to this potentially dangerous problem, the replacement cost of the rear subframe is astronomic. One C class owner i know was offered scrap value on his car ! BUYER BEWARE
I had the same. Went to a MB dealer and within 20 min they approved a free if charge rear subframe replacement. You should try it. Not worth paying for it yourself when it is a MB manufacturing mistake
