Best tutorial on this. Looks perfect. I can see step by step - thats great. You are the only one who uses only one thread for the entire process - The first one I see.
I know the video is sped up, but handling the double-sided tape like that blew me away. It usually takes me 27 F-bombs and razor blade to get a single piece done! Great video.
You must e my long lost brother 😂😂😂
Unstick a tiny corner while it's uncut, and still on the roll.
He makes it looks so easy
I’ve done it and it took me like 2 days
For real, i had a field day with f bombs when i used the thread
This is amazing. Thank you for showing the whole process with no cuts and edits! Never a mod I thought of doing at all but I will do it now!
looks aftermarket
Looks shit.
@@Professor-Scientist Because it is
Absolute best tutorial on this. Love your process for tucking and taping around the trim. Definitely going to replicate.
This is shit tutorial. Because of bumps around the stiching where leather meets alcantara(stitched together)
I'm watching this video from Brazil, here we use shoe glue to fix the steering wheel cover, you use double sided tape, very interesting
A master craftsman. Thank you for such brilliant instructions
Your tutorial helped me today installing my steering wheel cover, thanks for your effort! ❤
Great video. I was dreading doing mine and now I'll tackle it, this weekend. Thank You
How did it go?
How did it go?
Definitely still sitting in the garage
I did this on my previous M2, then this tutorial didn't exist unfortunately. This was a really good video showing how to handle a few of the challenges with getting the overlay aligned and such. Also, the double sided tape is a really good thing which my kit didn't come with.
best video i've seen so far and he got the rears done so well
Brilliant tutorial thank you!
With the 12 o'clock line is it okay to Stitch behind it and hide the thread? Just wanted to check before i start mine
This is the best video I've seen! Also the best installation! However I feel like the middle part if the steering wheel needs updating alongside otherwise you can tell it's aftermarket
Great job. So glad I watched this before trying to tackle this job.
Idk how you make this look so effortless, i am actually going insane trying to finish it on my car. I had the thread unravel on me, broke one of the stiches, ran out of thread, and it is just such a headache
BMW , criatividade fantástica
Amazing work... Do you only need 2 meters of thread?
Admire the mans skill, too good for me. I would not have the patients for that job.
Gorgeous, please tell me how do you remove the back trim of the steering wheel. You covered it with the leather
Where can I get the orange tucking tool? And which tape did you use specifically?
We can see a master at work 🤝🏻
The thing I found most amazing in this video is that this BMW actually has a turn signal lever. I thought BMWs didn’t have one, as I’ve never seen anyone use them lol
😂 Right? It’s one of those rare, mythical features on BMWs that often go unnoticed! Maybe this one’s part of a limited edition where drivers actually use the turn signals. 😉
@ haha maybe some limited edition. Nice work man!! keep it up
Where could I go to get this done without getting your pockets picked 😢 I have ordered one off Amazon and found stitcher but they want almost $800 and your first born to do😒. I'm in Loganville, GA any suggestions?
Greetings!I just got high from this video, from your skill. It's just magic, it's the highest level, it's just space!Respect dude!🔥🔥🔥👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What type of double sided tape is that? It looks very easy to use compared to most.
Great video! What did you do with the rear at the bottom base (behind the m logo) is that just stuck down or tucked in?
Are there any problems with steering wheel heating due to the glue?
Impressionante 👏👏👏
Good use of tape close to those tucked in area.
Crafting a steering wheel cover for BMW M-sport,
In nappa leather and Alcantara, it must be wrought.
A DIY project, with love and care,
Creating something unique, a masterpiece rare.
With needle and thread, begin the work,
Measure and cut the materials, don't shirk.
Stitching and sewing, a labor of love,
Aiming for perfection, nothing else will do.
Each stitch must be precise and neat,
Each seam must be strong, no gaps to defeat.
Crafting a cover that fits like a glove,
A beautiful work of art, made with love.
When it's done, you'll be proud to show,
A custom-made cover, so good to go.
Your BMW M-sport will shine even more,
With a beautiful cover, that's what it's for.
So take the time, put in the effort,
Create a steering wheel cover, that's worth it.
A beautiful addition, to a beautiful car,
Made with your own hands, that's the star.
this nigha made a poem💀💀💀
Bro wrote a poem about it 💀
This good with steering wheel heat?
yo yo yo! This is awesome. I need to rewrap my E36 M3 and I'm placing my order now!
You know this guys from Bulgaria or Romania, thanks bud
Arte e segurança no volante 🎉
That is a superb fitting cover tho…… I had a different brand and there was over 12-15mm to tuck in. What brand are these are are they your own?

What a great video, recently got my cover and have to do mine as well.
BMW excelente viatura 🎉🎉
How did you measure the wheel to fit the cover I am having a hard time figuring that out?
Is the tape used solid and durable ? Nice video tho
Great tutorial I will be attempting this
DOES THIS AFFECT THE SELF DRIVING? ALSO DOES IT AFFECT HEATED WHEEL?
Doesn't effect self driving but does mean the heated wheel takes longer to warm up and will be slightly cooler than before
im not a huge alcantara fan especially not on the steering wheel ,but while new ,this looks awesome
Damn that looks good. I’d have to pay someone tho because it’s way too tedious 😂
Qualidade excelente.
Helpfull tutorial thank you very much you should change the titel so everyone can find this there is no better tutorial for doing this i ordered a alcantara cover for my wheel and have no clue how to stich and everything but this is great i will do it that way thank you ❤
How long it took from start to finish?
Sveikas broliukas!
I, as inexperienced in stuff like this, needed roughly 2 hours to install it, but worth the effort

Very nice 👌
i did it the same way, it turned out OEM, thank you!
This is by the best way to do it tape up first
Very nice 🎉
It should be to thick, because stock is already thick. How about grip feeling?
Doing one of these soon. Great tutorial. Nice to get ideas on order of fitting. Well done.
👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
Good Job

Very nice! Wish there was a place here in Vancouver, Canada?
Unfortunately, the cover i received doesn't seem to match the cuts you have on this display one. and has lots of excess around the sides.
I had the same problem
Do what I did, cut it to fit, and then make sure you glue down the existing thread so it doesn't come undone. Then just tuck it into your wheel.
The best lavoro👍
I’m watching this video like I’m going to do my own 🤣 no chance I haven’t got the patience for it.
That's fantastic
WELL DONE. 👏
Bro steering cover pe konsa leather chadhta ha
Chulada de trabajo saludos desde Honduras Centro America
Nice teddy wheel 😊
Golden hands 🙌🏼
Simplesmente BMW.
👏👏👏👏
Good job
Very nice
How about removing the old leather wrap before installing a new one?
Why you use tape?
How much you charge for installing?
With tape it’s easier to install it and it would not spin loosely when you gripping the wheel firmly.
Looks like very fuzzy Alcantara
Well done👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Very good
Donde se pueden comprar las fundas?
Where did you buy this cover, im trying to find one like this model but i cant.. Anyone help?
diysteeringwheel.com/collections/bmw
Excellent job
That was hella clean!
Lindo tecnologia 🎉
Is the tape necessary?
Yes, I did mine without it and regret because I can rotate the cover with firm grip.
Is better to dismount the wheel from the car, it’s simple to do it
Actually on the car is better
Yea, because it is fixed while he is stretching material
BMW's do have "virginity" seals, in the back of the steering wheel - its where you need to unscrew airbag, to detach steering wheel - once you break them, there is no way to seal it again. This can lead to lower the car value as customers may know about it, check if they are there and be suspicious that car had accident because of getting into airbag etc.
So on car is actually better...
Then you gonna need two additional hands.
Better on the clock spring too I imagine...
The result is good. Im pretty sure I’d mess it up though.
Great work!!!!
Where could I order one for my bmw 630i?

Wow, can you do my Jeep Wrangler steering wheel:)?
Carro 🎉
9 months later, how has the alcantara material held up since install? any premature wear/fading or getting nappy at all?
Yes it goes off
@@FleX123how badly
@@daniyalahmed9523 i mean serious badly :D it became so bad, that u dont even feel its alcantara, and it became to be even shiny, sorry for bad english
Hi where can I buy the covers from
diysteeringwheel.com
Great Job , Thanks 🙏
from where i can buy it
diysteeringwheel.com
Nice job. Thanks for the video.
I find the skins are a tad expensive? £80 to buy and have it fitted by a mobile installer near me 🤷🏻♂️
Ok then go make your own skin bro? Stop complaining if you're going to be a bum with no solution
Fantastic ! !
Fantástico
Nice job.
Corona mask😅. Same location I used to put my mask during corona 😂😂😂
I love the look of this but I don’t have the skills to make it look that nice, which makes me too scared to buy it lol
Great demonstration! thanks for the help
Excelente
Awesome, you took the thickest car wheel known to man, and made it thicker! Good work. You got any spare gorillas to hold the wheel for me after I’m done?
Do you have child size hands?
Muito bom😎
Yeah looks great, but the sewing part would drive me insane!
