Knitting Tutorial / Simple "Polo"

- In this video you will find Cropped Polo Shirt pattern.
Knitting tension:
10 x 10 cm (4" x 4") =24 sts x 32 rows
Shirt measurements:
-Shirt width: 45 cm (17.8 in)
-Shirt length: 47 cm (18.5 in)
-Sleeve length from armpit: 8 cm (3 in)
-Armhole depth: 16 cm (6.3 in)
You will need:
-Yarn 50g x 4 balls (Drops Safran)
-3mm (60 cm & 40 cm) circular needle
-6 markers
-scissors
-yarn needle
-2 stitch holders
-spare needle
k-knit
p-purl
sl st - slip stitch
k2tog - knit 2 stitches together
p2tog - purl 2 stitches together
M1L - make 1 stitch right
M1R - make 1 stitch left

Hi Aura, thank you so much for sharing this video, I started today my polo. Here in Brazil we don’t easyly find this yarn (Drops), so I made some adjusteds. I am using a cotton yarn and 4mm needle. With a new gauge I calculated the new proportion of stitches for the raglan. So far its working. I hope it gets good as yours. And again, thank you for the video, the polo is beautiful, I love your channel. Please if you have a instagram share with us too!

Great video - though the dimensions for the collar are off 6 cm = 2.5 inches.
I hope you could also provide tips on how it should be adjusted for different sizes.
You can calculate based on circumference of a shirt that you own and that fits you. So you take that measurement and the measurement of a swatch and see how many stitches should there be and see if you can devide them for raglan. Also don't forget to add how many stitches you want to overlap for a polo. That's going to be the amount of cast on stitches. Then simply follow the pattern and compare it as you go to your shirt. If the size you're making is bigger you might have to add more underarm cast on stitches
I can give you approximate measurements: for xs-s 52 cm, for m-l 53 cm, for xl-xxl -54 cm. Also I suggest you to cast on 2 times more than needed and than knit two together before raglan increases. It's because rib is more narrow. But make a swatch) I hope I helped)

What size is this pattern? It's great. The only change I would do is a stretchy bind off.

Hi, i am following this video to knit my own topdown! Love your work:). I chose to work with very thin yarn(giza mercerised cotton), and now knitting with 2mm needles only for the collar part. And will change to 3mm for the body part.
(Trying to make the size about xs).
But It seems like the collars are short with 128stitchs, how many stitches would you recommend for making longer collars?
(now it is row7, and it is 28cm long)
What if i put 12stitches or 14stitches to the edge? Will that changes a lot??
Just knitted to reglan increase, and found out collars are too short in length.. they r barely around my neck.
I will start all over with 3 or 3.5mm needles.
I only had 4ply cotton yarn.. sorry to bother you.

Hey. Cast on 128 st.
10 st - edge,
17st - left front,
15 st - left sleeve,
44st - back,
15st - right sleeve,
17st - right front,
10st - edge.
