- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda

This is the best banana bread recipe I've tried to date! A bit crunchy on the outside but super moist on the inside. It has "burnt" toffee tasting bec of the red sugar and brown butter but it complements well with the natural sweetness of the over riped banana!

Tried other recipes but this one just got the perfect dense and fluffines to it. It's moist and to those who will try this recipe, don't skip browning the butter, it just adds so much goodness.

This is so true! I’ve tried a shortcut to “darken” the bananas and it was just a mess. Was not moist at all!!! The banana has to naturally ripen til it’s black 🖤

I tried this the other night. It is really soft. It is more of a cake than a bread for me. Even without the cinnamon, it tastes really good!i will try again without the baking soda. I can taste and smell it.😃Overall, it is a good base of banana bread/cake. Thank you Erwan!😃

We've tried your recipe and used overripe bananas (we sped up ripening by microwaving the bananas) and OMG it is the BEST banana bread that we've made!!! This is definitely a keeper! :)
I substituted the sugar for a small block of hard brown sugar which I melted with the butter. I used yogurt instead of the sour cream and I added chopped walnuts. My 5 bananas were black and oozing the juice just like he said. Turned out amazing, highly recommend!
