One day your kids will look back and remember the days they spend with you and all the jokes and lessons. Probably telling their kids how they work with you 2.
Just started watching the video, and can I just say, that heavy loader operator had some real finesse! Dumped that gravel at a very precise rate to avoid shocking the trailer suspension, then gave the bucket that quick little shake at the end to make sure he emptied it completely. A true pro right there.
I am so happy to see the children getting involved in this project. I know it is not easy. They would rather watch cartoons on the TV but WOW, this teaches them such good work habits. When these projects are finished the kids will be able to say they were involved in the success of the project. Keep it up. You two are very good parents.
Darwin was off duty that day! Backhoe and bucket on tractor could easily dig a ramp into hole. Make it way easier. Stay out of pinch points! Always have path to get to safety!
Nothin' sketchy here Mr OSHA.....no one is scared..lol..loved the step by step and little things you guys did and shared on how you got the tank set up..way cool. Tank is certified to withstand much abuse in it's lifetime...what a great investment. So happy for you guys. loved the kids stuff at the end!!!! ❤️❤️
Those Case 590’s are pretty stout machines…very well made…almost the same power as the old 780’s and easier to get around with!..I have a JD 710 and it has gobs of power but it’s also really big and not as handy as those 590’s…I have a cistern at my camp but it’s an open top tank formed in the foundation of the building and I want to get rid of it and put a buried plastic tank outside…I might look into these tanks!..cheers!
Great progress. I have 3 x 2500gal tanks for my Rain Harvest system. One thing - I used rubber couplers between a 5" long stub coming out of tank and the main pipe in the ground, to provide a little flexibility right at the tank outlet to relieve strain/cracking of fixed PVC in case the tank settles a little from weight or time. Not sure it's required, but some youtube suggested it and it made sense to me and after 4+ years I've not had any trouble. Just thought I'd pass the potential tip along :)
I unloaded a pile of gravel off my trailer yesterday. At the time I thought I could use a bigger shovel, now I realize I would have benefited from a nice spouse and a couple of cute kids. I get it now.
Good morning you guys guess at it again I guess huh get everything put together you're taking everything that's going to be a lot better that way you can live right there and you know everything is ready to rock and roll all right guess have a great day keep an eye on everything make sure the animals are fed you guys have a good Christmas and we don't see you guys God bless you
Hey, if the boy can run a recip saw, he can use a hammer drill to start punching holes in the biggest rocks so you can break them up to define the driveway and property line. When I was 11, my dad had me break up this big old boulder that was buried in the hillside behind the garage where he wanted to add a workshop, but that sadist made me do it by hand with a sledgehammer.
So, let's just say the slogan were "Safety Third." What would go in the number one and two slots? LOL My water tank is about the same size as yours. It sits way up the hill so I have plenty of water pressure for the house. The well pump is down near the house and so it has to pump it up the hill to the tank.
two amazing people....learning much from both please find some time for each other...besides working....thanks for the name enduraplas...need one ,,,,thanks.love you all happy new year,,,,be blessed///////////
Glad you did not poke a hole in the tank! Whats to stop the tank from freezing above the 3 foot line? You planning to wrap it in something? Looking forward to the next one.
From the tank being so dark it seems to hold in heat pretty good. A combination of it being buried 3 feet and being dark in color, I don't think it will freeze much. We'll keep an eye on it and report back later in the winter. Thanks for the question. 👍
Jacob, I am glad that you got this in and no one got hurt. IMHO, Sketchy does not even begin to describe the risks I see. Your dear wife was in unneeded risk multiple times. You have already identified that you didn’t know the weight of the load. Knowing this and the rating of your lifting equipment is a must. What caused me the greatest concern was Natalie’s proximity to and pushing of the tank. To do this safely, you need 4 people: operator, spotter and 2 to position. Positioning should be done with tag lines so the no one is proximate to the lift. In the words of Gomer, or maybe it was Goober, Pyle. “The good Lord looks out for fools, drunks and children and I don’t drink.” Fortunately God was smiling on all of you on this day. Notwithstanding my critique, I am enjoying your videos and wish you only the best life!!!
Jacob, 'Question'. Why Not Have Mixed & Poured A 6"+ Concrete Circle Slab On Top Of The Dirt/Gravel w/Rebar To Put The 5,050 Water Tank On? This Would Be The Best Safe Guard From Settling Over Time🕰. On Top Of The Concrete Circle Slab, Lay A Cut Circle Insulated Pad Or Apply Onto The 5,050 Water Tank Before Placing. Will You Be Building A Pitched Roof From The Power/Wash/Freezer House Over The 5,050 Gallon Water Tank To Protect It From The Year Round Elements & You Could Use That Pitched Roof To Put Solar Panels On Jacob. More Power To The People😁! You Can Rent D-Rings Jacob. Personal Choice. Or Jacob Buy Them, As Their Need In Use Will Come Up Again In The Building Future Needs. Buffet's Spread The Corona-19 Virus🥵& With The Vaccines Shots💉Still Get ILL. Happy🎅Holiday's🎄🕎Whipper Snappers. always, Tommy🤠

I sure hope he doesn't 😅

Always thought it would be nice to have a hill for water pressure. It's mostly flat on our property. Thanks for the comment. 👍

I love you, including your kids. I'm thinking of purchasing a water tank. What brand is it? So I can look up the cost in Arizona
It is enduraplas. Thanks 🙂
is this one of those "dont try this at home" moments??
😅 haha, maybe it should be. Thanks for watching.

Is this an off-grid life style ????
Yes, it is. Thanks for watching 🙂
that not buried tho
Warranty only allows us to bury it 30 percent, which worked out because it got the outlet below the frost line. Thanks for watching. 🙂
