Great video Berg! I install acrylic wall systems and use an MS Polymer Hybrid sealant/adhesive. I have the Milwaukee and it works great! the rod is not supposed to come out of sausage gun. When you first take it out of the box, it comes in a few pieces. There is a red plastic backing plate that attaches to the inserted end of the rod with a small screw. Once assembled, the rod should not come out. Been a minute since I watched a Tile Tool Tuesday; it is always a pleasure!

On the Milwaukee you’re missing the screw that attaches the piston to the rod. With the screw in place the rod doesn’t come out.

I use Milwaukee M18 chalking gun for Auto glass urethane, every day use and it's been 10 yrs I have it, I also got craftsman, great video man
I have the orange one and just converted it to use cartridges works fine for my needs.
Thanks for posting this! I’ve used the Milwaukee for Autoglass for many years but with the bigger battery. I’ve used the one in your video as well. Btw you screw the plunger down to the bar and it won’t pull all the way out.
I came here to see if the dewalt would be a good fit for Autoglass. Every shop I have ever been to exclusively uses Milwaukee and I was trying to find out why. I guess it’s just that Autoglass sellers support Milwaukee when it comes to caulking guns.
Milwaukee sausage caulk gun is great btw if your thinking about getting one. A few minor issues like the nut that fastens the barrel to the gun comes loose every once in a while. Some people complain about sausages getting stuck, but this only happens if your plunger is worn out, which only happens after maybe 1000 sausages. Also read someone on a review that sausages were hard to take out. All you have to do is push from the back of the bar and it will pop out.
The battery lasts for what seems like ever. No power issues ever, great control and ya. I’m caulking with urethane which is a lot thicker than what most contractors would use this for.

I use the DeWalt one for my job, also a gun made by a wood floor specialist company called Bona. I do hardwood flooring and we use these guns for wakol flooring adhesive all the time.

I am using dewalt gun which is fast but heavy. I can’t control the amount of beat coming out of the gun. It’s different when you use the gun on the ground then using it on the swing stage platform to caulk the window glass.
My friend brought his Milwaukee gun and it made a huge difference. Thinking to switch.
But I am also thinking to try hilti cordless caulk gun

When would you use one of these rather than the smaller cartridge style gun? Are they for making bigger beads? Are there other types of more useful caulk that don't come in the cartridges but do come in the sausages? For large gaps? You may have figured out that I've got some big gaps I need to fill.

The 3 motorized ones each gave pretty similar result. Need to compare which one dispenses all the most material per sausage.

I somehow knew at the start which one would win😝, that Milwaukee one looked like it was out of rod but there was still sausage left or was there a switch out for the DeWalt also how was it to clean the nozzle after
Something definitely going on with the Milwaukee. The rod on mine has never come out. Only thing I don’t like about it is the set screw they give you for the plunger has come out on mine. Just ordered a replacement and put some loctite on it.
Do sausages last longer than single use tubes? What happens if just have a little bit to do? Can I leave the caulk in the gun until next use and it keep?

Am I only one thinking cordless caulking guns are unnecessarily heavy for the purpose? I've got M18 and Makita 18v and thought they are too heavy so I got m12. but m12 still too heavy to operate with one hand. now I got aliexpress Chinese one. dang it's much lighter than major brands and does the job very good... wish other brands made lighter one. seriously too heavy to do precise job with one hand.
Great video but I work in mostly compact spaces and these guns are way too cumbersome imo. I got to try the Makita one a while back and after the first day I handed it back. Regular skeleton guns are just fine in small bathrooms and shower enclosures.
