have just been testing some different stuff, i haven't been using lift off for a while. it does really feel very floaty. i've tried messing with the settings, and it seems to get a bit better when i get around 120+ fps, but it might have been placebo. its still quite floaty though. i haven used liftoff for some time now, a while back i started using Tryp and Uncrashed for freestyle, depending on what pc i'm at. tryp is quite demanding but also more realistic IMO, while Uncrashed is less demanding. Velocidrone is also a good choice if you are racing. Wish i could help you with some settings that would make liftoff less floaty, but unfortunately i haven't been able to figure something out.
@@RaukFPV that, no doubt, must be placebo, because I can't see the relation between the drone's response and the photograms per second... I will keep searching. Many thanks
its hard to say, each have their own physics. id say, liftoff or uncrashed if you are only freestyleing, and like graphics. but velocidrone for racing and freestyle, if you can live with the graphics. Each of these three have different physics, nither are perfect. but these three are close enough to reality.
i dont think you can change the gravity in the game. while its not perfect, it does help a bit, to increase the weight of the drone, in the workshop, under the frame you can add additional weight.
Hey, thanks for watching. if you want to select each axis individually, you can go under calibration, and then hit manual calibration. thre yo can select the axis from each of the stick and hit the desired input roll/throttle/yaw/pitch. If you dont mind, ive only used mode two. and im curious why you want yaw on the right stick :)
hey, sure, yes, you can download them from the steam workshop. fromt he steam menu, under liftoff. then just select a map and click subscribe inside steam. then it will be added to your game, enjoy :)
yes, flying an fpv drone is quite different from regular drones. some people prefer to fly in angle mode, when starting out with fpv, that will make the drone auto level when you are not touching the sticks. that is a bit closer to regular drones. else, try focus on one stick at a time, just up and down with the trottle first just try to hover. And remeber if you move anything else, the drone will stay in the position you leave it, so if its tilted 45 degree it will stay tilted at 45 degree, where as the regular drone will return to level. hope this helps a little, other than that, keep practicing.
Hey, unfortunately i don't think the avata is available in liftoff at the moment. You might be able to make a similar drone. But you won't get the same features as you have on the avata drone.
Hey, not entirely sure what the question is? is it this tutorial or the one inside liftoff? ive personally never been fond of the ingame tutorial. but some people think it help. i would like to help anyway i can, feel free to ask again anytime :)
@@RaukFPV thanks a lot. I really like yours but don't like the one in liftoff to learn to fly. I thought I can fly drones cause I'm relatively good in RC stuff. I did like two battery's on my new 5 inch pretty uncomfortable wich made me download liftoff to learn and get more comfortable. It's much more difficult than I thought so I was intended to do the tutorial. That sucked so bad and was so hard that I tried just free flight wich was much mor simple and with much less crashes for me
thats good, its a long time since i tried the totorail inside the simulator, but dont remember it as particularly good. a few houts in simulator and the real world stuff is going to get a lot more comfortable too. :)
@Rauk FPV I just got my Tinyhawk 2 drone, which I dare not fly yet, I have liftoff and the Betafpv latest controller, but when I do simulation in infinite race on the Straw Bale map I always crash or just about get to the first or second obstacle is this normal ?
Flying fpv drones is difficult. Which is why the simulators are great, keep practicing in the simulator and you will very soon be able to fly in real life. When you are able to fly in the simulator, take ir sko the first time you are flying in real life, they are very similar, but there are a little difference.
@@RaukFPV What do you think if I buy a cheap brushed micro/mini/nano drove for like £20 and fly that in a open field rather then simulator perhaps this would work, what do you think ?
I think a simulator would work better. Just keep practicing. Start by learning to hover. A ending and descending. Then focus on pitch, tilt the done a tiny bit forward and return see the drone fly forward, then pitch a small bit back and see it fly backwards. Then do the same for roll. And in then practice yaw. Then you start combining the axis, slowly flying around. If you find it difficult you can try starting in angle mode, just be aware that it behaves a bit differently from when it's in acro mode
The game kept crashing, not sure whats wrong. I have the highest version of directX installed. My system is of the recommended specs. Will try out again when I get time off work.
Great video. Just FYI, you computer screens are way too low. You will have neck/back problems if you continue with that. I'd recommend either raising your screens up or lowering your chair. Or both. Your future self will thank you :)
Thanks. do you have a suggestion for the optimal hights? My chair is positioned, so my arms are in 45 degree angle at my elbows. (if i sit up) i thought i have set me screens to where they where supposed to be. the top of my screens are at my eye level. and yaerh, 25 years of gaming before i got a decent char and table, has given me some issues with neck and back. :/

Exactly what I've been searching about to try fix. Any luck yet? Its almost as if the effect of gravity is just way to low.
@@FishingEasternCapeSA no luck so far
Do you think this is the most realistic physics for a sim right now?

Is there a way to edit OSD elements? I'd like to have a timer on screen if possible :-)
I don't think you can move the osd elements. Haven't even thought of that, that would be an awesome feature
