Question 1:-
---------------------*
I'm trying to use my headphone on the AC97 front panel jack, but it's not working, surprisingly when I unjack the headphone, a popup states that a jack has been unplugged.. meaning that the front panel should be connected internally.
On the Realtek manager I have clicked on the "AC97 front panel support", but still no dice.
Anyone have the same problem and how to rectify it?

Please tell me how I'm supposed to do option 3 without Realtek. I believe that it is the issue that you described, but I don't have Realtek HD Audio Manager.
EDIT: K guys, I figured it out. I have the Asrock B450M Steel Legend motherboard, and I have had this problem on 2 of my cases that I have. It started with the a case that I used to have: a DIYPC Case. The front panel headphone jack was working, but I kept accidentally yanking it out because of the inconvenient length of my headphones cord. One day, it broke and when I went into the sound control panel, it showed that no devices were plugged in. The weird thing was that when the headphones were halfway plugged in, the sound control panel kept saying that the headphones were switching from "default device" to "not plugged in", and the sound would turn on and off just like that. What I ended up doing was to use the back headphone jack, and when I got my new case, the front headphone jack was still not working, which made me think that the problem was my motherboard HD Audio connector. WRONG. I spent a long time trying to find out how to download my long lost love, Realtek HD Audio Manager that I used to have on my old laptop, but it was just not meant to be. The one thing I could download was the Realtek Audio Control application (www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/realtek-audio-control/9p2b8mcsvpln?activetab=pivot:overviewtab), but it wouldn't work. I found out that I had to have the appropriate drivers to make it work, so here's what I did:
*WHAT WORKED*: I went to Asrock's support website (www.asrock.com/support/index.asp?cat=Drivers), and downloaded the Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8619 Global link that it had, and extracted the package. Then, I went into the sound icon at the bottom and right clicked it, and clicked sounds. I plugged in my headphones to the back of the case (the green one on the motherboard IO), and then right clicked the device that I just plugged in (it was called "speakers"). Then, I clicked properties, and then went down to the "controller information" section in the General tab, and clicked properties. I then clicked change settings with the admin symbol next to it, went into the driver tab, clicked "update driver", and clicked "browse my computer for driver software". I clicked the browse button next to the file search bar, went into the downloads tab, and clicked on the extracted file that I downloaded from the Asrock website. I restarted my computer, and when I logged myself back in, I opened the now working Realtek Audio Console, clicked the "device advanced settings" button at the bottom left, and selected "Disable front panel popup dialog", and FINALLY, it worked.
Oh wow... That's an interesting story
mate you are a legend, had the exact same problem with my b450m steel legend and thought I had to rma the case. You saved me so much work by writing this, thanks a lot!

You are my freaking savior. Thank you so much!!!!!

Thank you very much to this video and to the creator....I spent hours figuring out why my pc's front panel audio jack is not working after a Windows update....I thought the problem is the audio driver but it's only the connector settings...I tried to update the driver but it keeps telling me an updated driver is already installed. Solution from this video: Turn "On" Disable front panel popup dialog

I had an issue with my 4 pin jack headphones and mic. It was working only when I was pluggin them in. It was only working if I restarted my computer. I saw a couple of videos tried to install new drivers nothing worked. You video helped a lot because the only thing that worked was clicking the analog settings and by checking the Disable front panel jack detection! Thank a million!

Of all the videos I watched, of all the websites I visited, it's only this video that has solved my problem. Thank you very much good sir.

thanks you so much i had a first problem of this video.for you i can fix my jack to motherboard..
3rd option worked!! Thank you and you got a like for this video!
My headphone jack fixed itself as I watched this XD!!
DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH! I JUST ENABLE THE "DISABLE FRONT PANEL JACK DETECTION"
You know what worked for me? Disabling front panel, as in 2:00. Thank you very much!
Edit: Just a little trivia: this problem haunts me since the 90's, and most of the time the only solution is disabling the auto detect; WTF, won't Realtek EVER solve this issue?!
That worked for me too.
For those who couldn't find Realtek HD Audio Manager just go to Program Files and find Realtek HD Audio Control Panel executable file (it's RHCPV64.exe or something like that, sorry i don't remember its exact file name), open it and follow the 3rd workaround on this video. It worked for like a charm for me.
thnx man
