- The newest Warmane realm - Onyxia, just launched 2 days ago as a fresh Vanilla realm that will progress through TBC and WotLK. I was there on the second day to see how it is and whether the server's worth playing.

there's so many servers right now that i can't choose one to stay in xD

@@MEYTRIX I don't remember but later at like 11 pm I logged in again and couldn't tag a mob, that's just insane population in the starting zone that many hours after launch.

I wonder why any server that goes with vanila doesn't implement the Turtle wow's RDF system where you find players but get into dungeon by yourself. It feels so much better than the teleportation to a place you never been before
rdf destroy hole game...world is empty...when you wipe in dungeon, most people dont know how to get to their body, they dont know way

And I am trying to get my gf to play on turtle HC with me and it is so much better when without teleportation because she can see the whole dungeon entrance, unlike any player who only played private servers at wotlk

The first month was great. Massive population and stuff happening all the time. Now the server is dead
You just have to be on there at the right time lol, getting nearly 2k active players at peak isnt that bad imo.
They did not work on the server well. The NPCS got base stats as wotlk npcs. They changed talents and itemization to Vanilla but did not change NPCS hp/Dmg to Vanilla. Was really bad from warmane teams side. Going into end game dungeons take 3 hours rather than 1
Pvp is very light people are passing eachother all the time as oposing factions and I have never seen them fightning at least in my 100 hours play , in fact they help eachother...Only one rogue attacked me when I was lvl 60 and that's it.The scripting is prime , I didn't notice anything different from blizzard.Very nice server , come play!
Good they lower exp rate, thats good....how much time will be vanilla till BC? Luncher is 3.3.5?
client 3.3.5, idk if there's a schedule for the full Vanilla content release, but I think it's under a year, it goes out pretty fast

No, it’s WotLK client so you need WotLK addons
3:08 Can you expand on this opinion a little bit? I don't understand how people are upset with x3 XP when the actual servers are like minimum 7days (168 hours) playtime to get to 60.
Isn't x3 XP much better? Are private server enjoyers really just that spoiled regarding XP rate buffs?
most ppl have already leveled through this content numerous times so going through Wailing Caverns or Ragefire Chasm feels like a chore for a 100th time, you can see the Icecrown realm is x7, for a reason, and over time most private servers keep increasing their xp rates too - those that used to have x1 rates 10 years ago are now mostly all x3-x7 because that is what the majority of players are asking for

@@dugii12345 And that's exactly why we don't ask you. Get a life, and you will see why the majority of the community cannot support your way of doing stuff.
EDIT: Be a man of your word, never use RDF and change your EXP rate to 1.0x since you have the ability to.
@@MEYTRIX late game x7 is a blessing but it makes all early game gearing and questing for certain chains irrelevant cause u already outlevel by time u get
in my experience as new player it ruined the lore/relevancy of quests and made me skip so much content and learning info about game, not that im blaming warmane but the lower the xp the more rewarding if ur not trying to full min/max, understandeable for people who played for years though

This will end on WOTLK EXPANSION only? or its posible to GET TO CATACLYSM AND MIST OF PANDARIA EXPANSION???
for now, the plan is for it to end with WotLK, but who knows what's gonna happen in 2-3 years until it actually gets there, nothing is out of the table
Is the Server in the WOTLK download option?
You don't need to download a new client to play Onyxia. You can play it with the 3.3.5a Wrath client you already have!

Bro, what do they mean with this "All accounts will be able to reserve one character name on Onyxia on November 15, 2023 at 12:00 server time"? I'm still able to reserve one char?
You could have created character before realm started so you get to reserve your character name
It was to reserve your nickname, now you can just create a character with the name on the live server so it doesn’t matter anymore

Type your username and password, that’s it, make sure you have the WotLK client
Great Server, only thing that im not happy with is rdf, it kills the open world feeling.
The only reason i'm playing is because rdf.

Hey, I don’t have experience playing Vanilla, but they say paladin is one of the worst 🥲 some of the best classes include: rogue, warlock, mage

For PvE warrior outdps everyone. In PvP you need engineering and the skill needed to play is big but warrior can beat everyone in vanilla. But iits very gear dependent because he scale best whit the gear

@@MEYTRIX 🤣 respect for just rolling with the mage. Since Onyxia is on 3.3 are they simply locking the level cap with the wrath stats?
@@mildlydazed9608 talents, spells, mechanics etc are all Vanilla with lvl cap 60, then with TBC in about a year it will change for TBC and then eventually WotLk

Try it, and play as Hunter, the easiest class in Vanilla.
me too - never played Vanilla, but the WotLK client makes it much easier for me so I am giving it a try, worst case scenario - I just don't continue if I don't like it

Is this server worth playing and at the end will characters remains?
Characters get transfered to the new expansion and at the end of WotLK on Onyxia - they will likely be transfered to Icecrown realm, but that’s still to be decided within those 2 years

Yuk, x3 rates… that’s not vanilla, weak! Die hard vanilla players are almost better off paying blizzard now!
What a weak point of view.
They did make it optional…bet no one went to x1 even if blizzard offered it as a server unless your trying to make a personal goal…but again it IS optional, no one cares you have more free time to grind an hour to get to a zone for a little more exp for the same result. Remember you had no clue where to go and all the enemies where to low to get exp, FUN! lol, I do admit it made good friendships when someone was willing to “show you the way” day 3 of leveling a total of 3 levels we complained our ass off on making new toons.
All in all solid on devs and you’re being a little dramatic on the reason to yuk it. We supported blizzard when the name meant players had a way to make the game and it was fun, not a way to increase a profit to get the younger next generation of gamers interested to keep its title as number one.

no idea, try deleting cache, make sure you don't need to verify your e-mail, could be a number of things

Onyxia launch was so laggy i was expecting people but not the laaag

@@MEYTRIX10 minutes into start you couldn't even leave the starting area, lag brings u back to the spawn wherever u go 🤣 but later went smooth and it didn't crash

I could equip mail on hunter right away and mobs pose virtually no danger. It’s a progression server maybe really vanilla lite/like
