Hell yeah man happy to see you got the cuff right and a walk!
For me yeah I’d give myself zero chance to get a hit or even a walk. They’d have to train me for a full year as I haven’t played for a decade or more. Only way I’d get on base would be getting hit so I’d take a Rickie Weeks batting stance 😂

Thanks man, appreciate it! Yeah I’m not gonna lie I wasn’t giving myself much of a chance either when I stepped up to the plate but we made it work 😂

I went to a batting cage and I could not touch a 60 mile per hour pitch from a machine. It was hitting the same spot every time. I could not imagine what it would be like to try this against a human who throws 30 mph faster, throws curves, and can occasionally aim at my head.
I have watched baseball games. If I had never seen a game before, I would say that it is physically impossible for a human being to be able to hit a 90 MPH baseball with a bat.
I have never been much of an athelete, but in my prime I was probably ran as fast as the averarge major leaguer, probably within one standard deviation of average. I probably could field as well as a mediocre player if I practiced. If I trained my entire life, I probably would be able to throw as well as a mediocre left fielder. I still coud never hit a baseball.
Also, people underestimate how hard it is to be top level at anything. The Dunning Kruger Effect is real. Ask someone who does not follow track and field how far or high people can jump or how far they can throw things and you would get underestimates all the time. People who do not know the Nathan's hot dog eating record are astonished by the number. And the folks who go on Jeopardy! really do know all that stuff without seeing things beforehand. One dude that I know who went on the show has memorized every country and capital in the world (roughly 200 each), every Super Bowl final score, every element on the periodic table, and every acting Academy Award winner in history. Seriously. You ask this guy "Who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1938?" and he'll answer "Joseph Schildkraut won Best Supporting Actor at the 1938 ceremony, but Walter Brennan won the Best Supporting Actor award for movies released in 1938."
