I love your video. I live here in Partenkirchen and I think what you did here is fantastic. I can say that you were at the Richard Strauss private house and not the institute which is why it was closed. Other than than that what a great video.
Thanks so much for the heads up about Richard Strauss. We were wondering what we did wrong. I appreciate the kind words about the video. That means a lot coming from a local resident :)
Excuse me Michael C,i would like to ask you if there are any ausbildungs in Partenkirchen available? Im a young guy looking forward to do an ausbildung there hopefully. Thanks in advance for info!
@@gogego998 Hello and yes there are some but your nationality and visa status will play parts in that.
when it showed the interior with all those paintings i just became fascinated, wow, Europe has the best art imaginable.
Very true! Inside Ettal Abbey is beautiful

Awesome footage! The Gondola is pretty great, perfect way to get to hike up really high and enjoy some incredible views. Thanks for sharing.
It is a great way to get up into the Alps and then enjoy a day of hiking.
Amazing video, very informative and extremely enjoyable. Thumbs up!
Her cinematography and detailed descriptions give me a "race around the world" vibe. Anybody else? :) I love watching your videos. :)

Just got back from our trip to Munich and saw many of the places in this video. Already itching to return!
Fantastic. I'm glad you had the chance to see a lot in Garmisch.
An amazing video had the pleasure of working in gapa in 1986 greetings from Wales xx

Schönes Loblied auf Bayern. Mich zieht es mehrmals im Jahr dorthin. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
Great video! What time of the year did you go?

Awesome! It's an amazing place to visit.
This place is enchanting!! How long did you guys stay there?
Wir waren da diese Woche. Wir können es euch nur ans Herz drücken: Geht da hin und macht euch ein Bild davon!
Hi Dave and Deb of The Planet D, Great vlog. Can you tell me the time of year that you visited Garmisch Partenkirchen please?
We were there the first two weeks of June. Cheers!
We will be in the area in August but do not have time to visit both Alpspix and Zugspitze. We have to choose, which one you recommend and you suggest a morning or afternoon visit ?
Planning to go in march not sure if it will be covered in snow
Greetings from Nova Scotia . Another outstanding and inspiring video . Just wondered which camera you guys use ? All your video quality is amazing .
Ramya Venkatachalam Thanks! And great question. We shot a lot of this on the GoPro Hero 7 black, Huawei Phone, and iPhone. The GoPro has been amazing for steadicam type footage. We also use the DJI Mavic pro 2 for our drone footage.
The Planet D Thanks for sharing .
Arbeit, dankeshon.
Hi! Can I ask if the train station is nearby the town?
Funny we stayed at the same guest house
First peak I went up was called Wank
Beautiful video! My father was stationed in Garmisch in the 1960s with the US Army. I would love to travel to Garmisch. I have a couple of newbie questions for you: Do either of you speak German? Would I need to learn some basic German before travelling there? Also, which airport would you recommend for flying into Garmisch from the US? Thank you so much for the wonderful video! :)
We don't speak German. People in Germany seem to speak many languages and often their English is amazing. But we always learn the basics like hello, goodbye, thank you, and excuse me. And then we always try to pick up a bit along the way, but it is very easy to travel around Germany without knowing the language.
@@ThePlanetD Thank you. Any travel advice for getting to Garmisch and staying in Germany/Bavaria, in general?
@@warhorse2034 If you fly into Munich, it is not too far away. Only 80km (50 miles) Renting a car is the best way to get around. We have some more information on this post: theplanetd.com/things-to-do-in-garmisch-partenkirchen-germany/
Thanks for the comments and I am glad we could show you some sites where your father was stationed. My sister served in Germany as well during the 90s. :)
@@ThePlanetD Thanks again for all the helpful information.
Hello guys, this is a nice video from my home country. If you want to see how the water level of the Eibsee is now, you are welcome to see it on my channel. Greetings from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Thanks I'll take a look, you live in a beautiful part of Germany

This is MacBook wallpepper
Great video but you pronounce the same places three or four different ways. Just sayin...
I live in Garmisch. Have for almost 30 years. Always hike up. not down. Better for your cardio system....that's not the ski jump from 1936...
Yes, definitely. If we had the time, we would have hiked up. We need to come back to spend a month in the area to really take in all the beauty and things to do!
@@ThePlanetD A month might do. But pencil in time for places like Passau, Chiemsee, & Landshut. Get off the beaten track. How about Regensbug? Ingolstadt? The countryside is wonderful. And, no, I don't work for any tourism board....
@@ticnatz Great suggestions! There are so many amazing places to see! Thanks!
